Love the tree tops? The home is high in hard woods with a spectacular view of the lake (deep water!) with the sounds of nature all around.
This rustic cabin is beautifully decorated by utilizing old and new decor...the essence of recycling!
This storybook jewel box allows one to listen to roosters crow as the sun rises and allows you to completely forget that you are just 2 miles from town....🐓
Need cozy fire NEXT to the water? 🛶🔥
No problem… fire pit also on premises!! Fire wood provided- *At Times*.
In addition, the home is JUST steps from the water (GENTLE SLOPE) .

The yard is full of such history with curbs from Downtown Milledgeville from the early 1900's!! You will enjoy an old rustic sink and huge rustic picnic table.
Our HUGE DOCK is the best ever! 🎣🎣🎣 -- (4/30/21) I am soooo happy to share that we have Adirondack chairs on the dock!!
Listening to swishing waters....You literally feel as though you and your guests are sitting in the middle of deep water when you are on it! There is a max of 2 boats and 2 jet skies.
We also take great pride in our spacious porches (upper and lower level) and NEW STATE OF THE ART PAC MAN game with up to 14 other games for the kiddos.
Our home's decor, appliances and lighting are truly at it's best !!!!
In trying to think of everything for you-- we have also provided professional cornhole boards and bags!
IF you're forced to have to keep in touch with the rest of the world... we provide excellent Wi-Fi!
We offer ample space to park 1-2 boat trailers. Not to mention- new 100 foot seawall to boot! Need a place to put the boat in the lake? Well, there are 3 Marinas within 2 miles (Sinclair Marina, Little River are our two favorites ).
Every now and then you've got to go where you can hear the screen door slam... this is the place! #cozy
Although, we love get togethers- it is policy that guests disclose to the owner if there is a 'party'. A party is defined by greater than 10 guests on property for greater than 1 hr. Parties are limited to 6 hrs. *There is a $350 Event Fee. If undisclosed- then damage deposit will be retained. Due to COVID 19...we are not allowing anymore than 10 guests total.
Excited to say- we now have 3 full size kayaks available under the back porch. *LIFE JACKETS NOT INCLUDED*. Don't hesitate to bring a raft or your floats! We provide a pump to Blow them up, and Sinclair Marina is happy to blow them up also.
Oh, and one of the FRIENDLIEST LAKES in Ga! Don't forget to wave as the boats/jet skies cruise by!!! 💙

Pet deposit applies to each dog. We discourage large breads- as there is not way to get them out of the lake easily. There are no steps (only a ladder). Please disclose pet details (breed, pounds and age) upon making reservation, and please plan to leave them on the shaded, cool back porch (child gate provided in downstairs closet) when they are not being directly supervised.
- Want things tidied up while you are there? You will also have the option of having housekeeping come in while you are out on the water or 'wherever' to provide clean linens, clean floors, clean bathrooms) for only $70.00. If this interest you-- please request prior to arrival!

You and your guests will enjoy the relaxing atmosphere, fishing, cool lake water, scenic lake views and beautiful sunsets on 2 levels of deck/ patio. This cabin is fully furnished with flat screens, oversized washer & dryer and MORE. Ground level access to grassy areas. There are multiple Boat and Jet Ski Rentals within 2 miles. Sinclair Marina and Sinclair Motorsports are two of our favorites.
Disclosure- our neighbor to the west is currently building their home. We haven't had any mention from ANY our guests that they were affected.

Need activity ideas? LAKE SINCLAIR is Georgia best hidden gem with over 500 miles of scenic shoreline. Rock Hawk Effigy is another wonderful destination! It is about 20 minutes from the house and can provide you with beautiful trails in addition to water ways for swimming!
Never too crowded, Sinclair is one of Georgia's Cleanest Lake and ALWAYS remains full year around. Enjoy all the water sports: Fishing (best in Georgia), Wake Boarding, Skiing, Boating, Jet-Skiing, Swimming etc. Bring your bikes to (or just hike) - enjoy near by trails- The Selma Erwin Nature Trail, Bartram Trail and Oconee River Greenway (also has a gorgeous river) are minutes away and are great trails to visit!

Having owned and sold a lakehouse on Lake Sinclair, my expectations for our stay in this house were pretty high. My family of 4, plus my daughter's friend, and dog were abundantly impressed with the cleanliness and amenities of the home, the deep water access, the serene outdoor living area and large dock! We weren't in need of any extra blankets, kitchen items, or home essentials. Dana was very responsive to our minimal questions that arose. We will for sure will stay there again and/or use the model of their home as a starting point for a dream home we might build of our own on the lake one day!

This is a great lakeside house, close to town via car and fun things on the water via boat.
The listing says "cottage", but don't be fooled, this house is well stocked with all the comforts of home - TV, Internet, etc.
We brought our boat, there's a boat ramp at the marina just around the corner. The water is deep (~6ft or so) at the end of the dock, so no problems there.
During our stay there was a freak storm and we lost power. Dana was great, she knew about the power outage and texted us to let us know the power company was informed and they're working on it.

Third time staying here and it’s awesome every time. Love the house, the view, walking yards to the dock and floating around. So close to stores and marinas for pontoon boat and jet ski rentals. Quiet and relaxing. Dana is the best hostess! Responsive and such welcoming touches.

This is the 2nd time that we have been to Lake Sinclair and we love it! The lake house was cozy and we spent a LOT of time hanging out on the large boat dock. We loved that the water was so deep. It helped to keep it refreshing in the hot GA sun. The cabin had everything we needed and the communication with the owner was perfect. We felt right at home. Would definitely recommend this property :)

We really enjoyed our weekend getaway on Lake Sinclair. The lake was beautiful and relaxing. The whole family and our fur babies had a great time. The cottage was very inviting, unique, and had everything we needed. The host/owner, Dana, was amazing! She was very easy to communicate with not that we had ANY issues. She helped make our stay easier and gave us a lot of helpful tips for the areas. Would definitely return!

The Rustic Cabin was incredible. I can’t say enough great things. From the check in process, throughout the entire stay, and then check out, everything was so wonderful. Dana was such a great host. She was easy to contact and communicate with. The location was perfect for our family. We swam, floated, and fished with ease. The cabin was fully equipped with everything you need and then some. It was sooo hard to leave. I’ve used VRBO for many years, and this is hands down the easiest times!! We can’t wait to go back!!

This was our third year of vacationing at this cabin. Our family enjoys the feeling of getting away from the hustle and bustle of daily life, but being only 5-10 minutes from restaurants, grocery stores and other businesses. We take our boat and enjoy fishing and water sports during the day and go out to enjoy fantastic sunsets in the evening. This property has a great porch view and balcony view to enjoy morning coffee and just listen to nature. The furniture on the docks allow you to catch the sun and watch the fun taking place out on the water. The location is also close to the Sinclair Marina boat ramp where they also rent boats.
One last thing about this property is that the host also has a home just across the small bay so if you need a second location you can work with the same host! Host Dana offers great properties and you and your family will create great memories for a lifetime!

Me and my husband wanted a place for both his and mine to enjoy together. We found it! There was plenty of room for us all, great location, and gave the homie feel that you hope to find for a nice relaxing lake trip.
Mrs. Dana was very accommodating and answered every question I had. She even messaged me when the internet went out due to storming with an update.
We highly recommend this cozy lake house for anyone looking to get away, relax, and make great memories. We look forward to going back in the future.

We took our two adult children and their spouses along with my parents (80 years young) with us. Everyone enjoyed the stay and would go again tomorrow! The downstairs bedroom made it nice for the older parents. This was our second year at this property. We will return!!!

Love love this house!!! Everything was perfect. Cabin is adorable inside and out with plenty of space to retreat. Ample parking. Beautiful manicured lot on the lake with sunny dock and shade under the trees. Super close to Sinclair marina for boat and jet ski rentals, bait and tackle shop and Dukes - the local bar hangout :). Perfect comms with the owners - there was even a gift basket and card for us on arrival. We could go on and on with the positives but in summary, Thank you!

The property was lovely. It was right in a beautiful cove with big water views. It was clean and communication was great. Very nice touches in decoration. We were two families with lots of boys. It was perfect for us.

Went for a bachelor trip and fell in love with the place as soon as we got there. The dock on the river was beautiful, the house was just as advertised and we were able to do everything we planned to do. Perfect stay for a few days! The host was very responsive and communicated well. My only issue was finding the driveway at night but after we got there it was never a problem again! Highly recommend!

We booked our stay last minute and completely lucked up to find this lake house! Dana made us feel like family and helped take care of all of our arrangements. The house was a slice of heaven on Earth and helped us relax and enjoy some much needed family time. We brought our meals in and the kitchen had all the perfect touches for us to gather together. Highly recommend it!

We stayed here over a Memorial Day weekend this past summer and loved it so much we came back for the week of Fall Break. Dana is an amazing hostess. She thinks of every detail and her communication is unparalleled. The cabin is beautiful and the location could not be better. We will definitely be back again!

This cabin was perfect for Grandma & Grandpa & adult kids plus two grandsons. Us old folks stuck to the first floor and the rest of the family was upstairs with their own bathroom & balcony. We celebrated Grandpa's 80th birthday on the big lakeside porch; had a blast with our 24 hr pontoon boat rental; anchored our boat near a wooded island & played in the water plus picnicked. Loved the perfectly maintained grounds around the cabin & the dock, which we shared at times with a magnificent blue heron. It was a huge success as a place for a small family gathering. Thank you Dana, for making sure our stay was perfect in every way!

What a fantastic place on an amazing lake!!! I gave 4 stars for location because if you drive through some of the surrounding neighborhood it’s not nice at all. That said we just stayed at the house and took advantage of the outstanding location of the house itself. The house is fully stocked with everything just bring food and drinks. We rented a pontoon boat, I don’t think the vacation would’ve been the same without it. Fishing off the pier got us more fish then going on the pontoon boat. Lots of memories made thank you for sharing your home!!!!

My family & I (myself, my husband, 3 adult children, and my parents) stayed for a week. The house was everything we expected & the location was perfect.
The location is ideal & convenient to stores or restaurants. We rented a boat and jet-skis nearby and swam in the lake. It was the relaxing vacation that we all needed!

Sadly, we sold our lake property last October. We are ‘in between’ as we have not found another priority yet. We decided to rent a place for our end of summer lake/boating ‘fix’. Our stay was shorter than we would have liked, but it checked all of our boxes and we all had a blast!

This house was what we needed for our trip. We had a wedding to go to in Milledgeville and also spent two days on the lake for the Fourth of July weekend. The location was great for both. It was also close to the marina where we rented a pontoon. The Pac-Man machine was a bonus for the 8-9 year old boys the little time we were inside.

We had a great time at this cabin. Everything we needed was there and it was very comfortable. We went hiking, explored the local town, toured historic buildings, rented a boat for fishing and tubing - there was something for everyone. The owners were great and made sure we had everything we needed.

“Beach life to lake life”My family feels abundantly blessed to have experienced a quite week on Lake Sinclair in Milledgeville. The Brooks and Gunn Hideway is absolutely an amazing place to stay. Our host Dana was quick to respond to any questions prior to booking and also as time grew closer made sure we were ready to go. Her communication is on pointe and we feel as if we have a new friend!! She provided several extra touches to make our stay welcoming and homelike!! The rustic cabin is loaded with extras and the eclectic decor and lighting is gorgeous!! Our family loved the quite serene feeling nestled in the trees but right on the water. We brought 2 jet skis with us and rented a 24 ft pontoon boat from Sinclair Marina for our 6 day stay. All worked perfectly on the amazing dock with plenty of boat cleats and ample room for relaxing on the deck chairs provided. Fishing from the dock and sunset boat rides from the private little cove were some of my families favorite things to do.We highly recommend this gem of a retreat for a lake life getaway!! We WILL be back!!! Our family lives 7 miles from the beach but lake life fun in Milly was a vacation we will repeat.Thank you Dana and your crew for a wonderful experience!!!
