About this villa rental
VILLA GIULIA, an ancient 17th century manor , is located in a corner of paradise between Perugia, Assisi and Spoleto, in the heart of Umbria. Its strategic position allows you to easily reach the most beautiful places in the region: Perugia, Assisi, Spoleto, Montefalco, Todi, Gubbio ... The villa consists of a seventeenth century house, which welcomes guests in 7 spacious rooms with antique charm, furnished with period furniture and paintings, all with private bathrooms and a secluded two-room apartment, with fireplace and private garden, obtained from a renovated building of the thirteenth century. The main house is divided into three levels without a lift and the rooms, despite having all the same footprint, differ from each other and are also located on 3 different levels.
Casa Giulia rises on the slopes of Mount Serano, a short distance from the beautiful village of Trevi and 1.5 km from the Sources and the Tempietto del Clitunno, a monument recently recognized by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site. The villa is arranged as follows:
on the ground floor there is a beautiful lounge of about 70 m2 furnished with period furniture, a large 60m2 dining room, a study and a smaller lounge, the kitchen (vintage-looking, but modernly equipped, about 25 m2) adjacent to the dining room, a bathroom. Meals during the summer can be eaten outside, in the shade of a gazebo in front of the house where tables and chairs are arranged.
In the right wing of the house, also on the ground floor, there is a double bedroom with bathroom. Two stairs-cases , one main in marble without a handrail and one in stone with a handrail, lead to the first floor.
On the first floor there are two double bedrooms with private bathroom, a large common room and a sitting room; on the second floor there are four bedrooms with private bathroom, one double, one triple and two communicating rooms - one double and one with 2 separate beds.
Immersed in the greenery of its vast and well-kept garden with tall trees, the villa has a large and sunny swimming pool, adorned with magnificent oleanders, from which you can enjoy a suggestive panorama of the Umbrian valley.
Elegance and simplicity merge here with history, art, culture and gastronomy.
Umbria it is a land of strong cultural, religious and food and wine traditions; you will discover them by coming to visit us and you will be enchanted.
The villa is self catering,; on request it is possible to have meals prepared and served by the woman who takes care of the house during the guests' stay or by a chef.
The cuisine of the region is excellent, consisting of fresh food prepared with wisdom and simplicity: olive oil, wine, truffles, lentils, sausages, cold cuts, cheeses ...
There are numerous restaurants nearby.
We can organize transfers to and from the airport or other destination.
Drivers available on request. Quote on request.
Possibility to organize cultural tours with private guide, cashmere experiences, shopping circuits (ceramics, wineries etc ...), food and wine tours, horseback riding, cycling on bike paths or in the mountains, rafting.
Casa Giulia is also the ideal place to organize events and ceremonies.
The depandances, facing the villa, host up to 230 people; garden and swimming pool offer views of the Umbrian valley. The most restricted events take place in the lemon house with its vaulted ceiling; the renovated barn welcomes the biggest events.
The staff can take care of every single detail: floral decorations, photographer, DJ, make-up artist and try to satisfy any other request so that the event is worry-free and absolutely memorable.

Everyone at Casa Giulia is amazing and so nice! We stayed here with family and hosted an intimate wedding of 40 people. Francesca was incredibly helpful leading up to the wedding (a mere 4 months before the stay). She coordinated all vendors and details. Francesca and all staff helped during the entirety of the stay and we are so grateful. The villa itself is enchanting and beautiful! The grounds are kept and picturesque. We could not have imagined a better place to start the rest of our lives! We can’t wait to return!

We were a party of 14 adults who arrived during a thunder storm. The owner was there to meet us, show us around and advise on dinner etc. The surrounding view and area is stunning, peaceful and in the countryside. The rooms are large with en suites. The kitchen is more than adequate for self catering. This property is a must, thank you for letting us stay.

Thank you very much for a lovely stay. Flora and the property were very nice.

We had a very nice time, Trevi is a charming village and a good place for other day trips. The house is nice, wish the kitchen and the kitchen equipment was better and cleaner. Flora helped us out with dishes when the steamer broke. She is very serviceminded and nice. Very nice and clean pool area, only plastic chair in the dinner area. Should have been an outdoor lounge. Still, we had a lovely time.

The place is absolutely beautiful! Franchesca and Flora did everything they could to make our stay as good as possible. Just a couple of things missing to the fifth star/top score. There was no hot water in the kitchen and the steamer didn't clean. One of the bathrooms connected to a bedroom had a leakage, and it took 4 or 5 meetings with the plumber before it was fixed. It also took a couple of days before we had hot water in all our bathrooms. But apart from these small matters - the house, it's interior, the rooms, the outdoor patio and pool-areas - just truly amazing! Geographically it's rural Italy with beautiful and charming small towns close by - we went to see Trevi, Spello, Assisi and Montefalco. All of them highly recommended. The area produces great wine and there were a lot of cashmere outlets around. We were five families who have shared one of life's great moments together. Thank you Franchesca for letting out this place!

I stayed with my extended family for a week at Casa Giulia. This is a very large 18th century villa owned and operated by the same family since its establishment. The grounds are very well kept and good for outside entertaining and children to play. The pool is warm when in hot weather and kept very nice. There is a fence separating the pool from the main villa for children's safety. The only things I would like to see for future stay is a softer mattress for my sleep issues in particular (the mattresses are all firm but I sleep on my side so this was tough, however there were pull out beds that were just fine). Also I would like to see the wifi range extended so I can check email and browse the internet from my bedroom as opposed to having to go the the one media room where it is located. But these are minor. Flora and Jole were excellent hosts. Flora kept the house organized for us and cooks excellent food for an additional fee, she also does the laundry if requested. Jole was always available by phone to answer any questions. Jole also offered to guide us into town and talk to a pharmacist for us when my family needed some urgent medical attention. If we all come back to Perugia someday, I would definitely consider staying here again.
