Big is beautiful! Sea Monster is a “monster” as in BIG, but she's certainly not ugly! And the location!? Can't be beat. Close to everything, especially the beach! Right out your back door, with the only thing between you and the water being sand... and well, more water... because your own pool, private to the duplex is right there too! Plus... this home is right across from Waves Grocery, ice cream, seafood and a great bar and grill! Location. Location. Location.
This listing is for the East side unit, Sea Monster, East! You can also rent the other side, or both together as a 2x8 bedroom place. Like having a 16 bedroom but with two of almost everything: kitchens, living rooms, more! Well, FOUR of some things since each side has TWO refrigerators! When renting both sides, guests may unlock the connecting door on the main level for easy access between the two sides without going up and down the stairs from the main entries.
It is perfect for those larger get togethers: plenty of space to be together but plenty of your own space too!
Sea Monster is a duplex with 8 bedrooms and 7.5 baths on each side! It sleeps up to 26, or 52 if you take both sides. Each side has the following:

Additionally, the bunk room can either use the adjacent (en suite, separate entrance with the south bedroom) OR the common bath on that level.

There is available onsite parking for at least 6 cars per side. More if you park under then home and stack carefully. Just share nice with the neighbors!
WIFI/INTERNET
YES! We have an awesome Eero mesh network to ensure excellent wifi coverage throughout this spacious home. Spotty coverage is always an issue for big places. Sure internet may work next to the router in the living room, but what about the far reaches of the home!? That's why we installed a multi-node mesh network. And what's the internet like? It is generally solid and ran > 100Mb down the last test--sufficient for several simultaneous video conference sessions for remote work and education. Internet is, of course, an amenity and subject to service provider outages (and guests "troubleshooting" it), especially with the havoc the sand and salt wreak on cabling and facilities, no more so than any other home on the beach though, and likely better since its close in and new construction!
SOAPS, TOWELS, COFFEE, ETC ETC
As with most beach homes in the area, the local mgt co provide what they call a "starter supply" of soaps, toilet paper, and paper towels, etc. Enough for the first night to get you going! Please plan to bring or purchase additional supplies, and any cleaning or pantry supplies you may need, or to make a quick run to the store (or have it delivered!). You will want to bring beach towels or beach chairs as well. Because mgt cos will not generally support them, grills are not provided, though they are sometimes inherited from prior guests: your mileage may vary on this, and we usually assess and then go snag a small charcoal kettle when we come down ourselves. Also of note: at many locations, you may find the bunk beds (and certain other beds) are not fully made--instead a bedding pack is provided. This is a common practice for the local management companies, which is both green (if the bedding is not used, it doesn't have to be laundered) AND more sanitary--housekeeping does not have to crawl on the bunks and so on to make the beds. Also also... all our homes have drip coffee makers and most now have Keurigs as well.

We enjoyed every minute at Sea Monster East!! It was extra clean and neat when we arrived. Loved having 2 fridges and dishwashers! Plenty of beds and baths for our group of 13. Hope to go back!!❤️

Sea Monster East exceeded our expectations. The house was more spacious than we expected. The bedrooms were large and comfortable. Having two dishwashers and refrigerators really helped with us having 20 people there. The pool was clean and access to the beach was easy with young children.

I can't recommend this place enough! We had a group of 20 all ages and this house made it easy to spread out but also easy to sit and hang out too! Highly recommend! It was spotless and easy to get to. ALSO THE VIEW was absolutely breathtaking!

Stayed at Sea Monster for Thanksgiving. Another great stay! My family has booked with Bama Beach Houses for the last few years. It has been a great experience and the communication is outstanding. We will continue to use them. They have been much better then past booking agencies. I prefer to use a company where I can talk to people.

We had a great time. It was a little rocky checking in as they were changing out the entire A/C unit. But thankfully the housekeeping crew realized there was a problem and were working on it when we arrived. It was a little difficult getting moved in with them working on it. BUT, a lot better than us finding out in the middle of the night that the A/C was out.... The kids loved the pool and were in it from 7:30am all through the day. We felt a little bad for our neighbors, as they were a group of men escaping family and wives! I would definitely recommend your beach house and have to compliment you on the great communication we had with your team in planning this Reunion. I had not been to Gulf Shores in over 18 years, hardly recognizable! Lots of positive changes. Thanks again!

We had a great time. The kids loved the pool and were in it from 7:30am all through the day. We felt a little bad for our neighbors, as they were a group of men escaping family and wives! Plenty of places to sleep and bathrooms for a large family. The house was great with a large kitchen and plenty of seating for dining. The house was clean and tidy. We did have trouble with the hot water for the top two living levels. There was no hot water several nights, requiring all 12 of us to use the shower on the main floor. So, it wasn't impossible, just not convenient and relaxing as it could have been. The agency was responsive and did send several maintenance workers out, it just took several tries (it would work for a night, but then not the next). Overall, our stay was great - it was just bad timing on the water heater. I would recommend this property!

I surveyed my four adult children who were with us and this is our shared assessment: The location was perfect. Right on the beach. No schlepping little kids who need a bathroom break across a busy street. Beautiful views of the Gulf. Restaurant, take out seafood shop and ice cream shop barely 3 minutes away. The pool was perfect. For all those occasions when you can't or don't want to go into the Gulf. We liked the house. Plenty of space. Two dishwashers, two refrigerators and two coffee pots? Brilliant!! The clothes washer and dryer was a plus. The space upstairs was plenty. We could shoo the kids upstairs to a playroom if the adults wanted more quiet. Everyone said they would come back again if we could.

Sea Monster was a great change of pace. Often stay at Rick's big Emerald and Sapphire, but wanted to be able to spread out more this year across places, so we grabbed both sides of several duplexes, including Sea Monster. More kitchens and living rooms this way. It worked really well for this year and would highly recommend.

We really have enjoyed our stay in your house. It's the perfect location, and very well maintained! We have visited Gulf Shores for the month of February and then again, one or two weeks during spring break for several years and hope to continue this plan.

We loved it!! Our entire group was so happy with the whole set up of the houses so close to one another, the pool, the underneath space where the kids could hang out and the houses in general. Very clean and spacious! The weather could have been better but that is just my luck! Our group golfed, okayed pickle ball and played beach games despite the weather. Beach patrol was awesome. They came up to us and handed my son a ticket for having too much fun and then handed out Gulf shore koozies to everyone! It was a great time by mom and kids. The Managment company was great. One of the houses had an incident where a kids diabetes alarm feel off his arm and into the toilet and they came right out to help! Thank you again for allowing us to stay in your homes. I have already spread the word around about how great it was if anyone is considering renting!

We had a great vacation. Your management company was very responsive. Their customer service people we very polite and helpful. We had a few simple issues and the contractors were knowledgeable and polite. The plumbing team that had to take care the clogged pipe completed the job in a timely manner and cleaned up their mess. We were impressed.
My husband and I own rental properties, so we always appreciate when renters let us know the problems immediately. We felt like some of the issues had been a problem from previous renters, the water dispenser in the refrigerator door not working, (was fixed immediately once we reported) the clogged shower drain, and broken locks on the bedroom patio doors. I can't stress enough how the folks were very responsive and took care of everything.
We loved the house, the bedroom configuration was perfect for our family, we loved being on the beach, and the kids had fun in the pool after dark.

The house was great and worked out perfect for us. They boys had a great time and played some good baseball. The weather was much better than what we would have had if we stayed in Oklahoma. We didn't have any issues or problems and we appreciate your hospitality.

Overall the stay way really good. The house fit our large group perfect. There was plenty of towels and location was perfect. The size and rooms were great. The kids loved the pool. We had a great stay. The guy who cleaned the pool did a great job also.

Our spring break in Sea Monster was awesome! So close to everything. Having the store and restaurant across the road was great, and being right on the beach, with a pool, was perfect! We loved our stay and can't wait to come back! Thank you!!! 😍😍😍

Your duplex was Beautiful. Very clean and very well stocked. I thank you for such quick maintenance on the water leak. The men were so nice and cleaned up what mess they made. I know for one this could of happened to anyone so I was not upset about the leak. Thank You for allowing us the time in your Beautiful home!

Great layout, but be ready to climb stairs to the bedrooms. Beautiful view of the beach. The kids loved the pool! When we arrived we were told the A/C was broken BUT they had a crew on it! They replaced the entire A/C unit that took about 3 hours. They were very "on it".
I had alot of questions pre trip and they were always very timely and responsive.
I would recommend this House, especially for a large group.

We had 25 people in our group ranging from 18 months-75 years. This house was perfect for us! It is much more spacious than most places I have stayed so we never felt crowded. The bedrooms are large and had space for a pack and play and blow up mattress for the young ones and enough room that luggage wasn’t taking over. It was clean. The beach is right outside the door so we could come and go as we pleased. We loved being able to leave our beach things downstairs too. There is a few minor repairs I would have liked to see taken care of but nothing that prevented us from enjoying our stay. We loved the Sea Monster!

We had a great time. Everything was very clean, plenty of towels, and pots and pans. Having 2 refrigerators was perfect, especially since we stayed over Thanksgiving and had lots of leftovers. We would recommend the Sea Monster for sure.

We had a wonderful stay at Sea Monster East! We had 18 people in my extended family come from all over the country to stay. The house was comfortable, clean and set up perfectly for large families! Beach access was super close, and the pool was big and clean! Will definitely return!

We had a great time at Sea Monster East. We had a total of 17 people and we had plenty of room. The best things were the two full size refrigerators and two dishwashers. Although this was a duplex we had no problems sharing the pool area with our neighbors and the beach was not crowded at all. Would definitely recommend this house to large groups. The stairs might be a problem for groups of older people but it was fine for us!

We had a great time staying at the Sea Monster! Rick was very quick and prompt to respond and help out when we had some issues. House was clean and the view of the beach was amazing! Location is close to anything you need from basic groceries, liquor shops, bait shops, fishing pier, many dinning options, bars, outlet shopping mall, and entertainment like go cart racing and mini golf.

We had an amazing trip and loved the property. The view and location was perfect. Loved having a pool to take kids to play as well. We had plenty of room and made lots of great memories. We will be back next year!

We had great grandparents, grandparents, adult children and grandkids. This place was perfect. We loved the pool and quick access to the beach! I would suggest bringing baby gates if you have small children due to the different floors and stairs. We would stay here again!
