TLDR: staff dropped a major ball but over all would stay here again. Moar: Chose this cuz a deal on hotels dot com (… Everybody go "Hotel, motel, whatcha gonna do today? Say what?) Would have been 5, but when I walked into my room, the house keeping didn't get to it. There was PF Chang leftover and a smell of dude cologne in the air. Bed looked like a kid had just gotten up and jumped out. They had a tip for house keeping on the desk Housekeeping said let the front desk know, the house keeping lady came and checked my room, grabbed the money and said "Talk to the front desk." Front desk got me a new room, clean and that was it. Breakfast is standard, oatmeal, factory cheese omelet, kirkland ish turkey sausage patties, 4 types of cereal, the waffle station, apple and orange fruit stand, juice bar, coffee station, and people standing around with analysis paralysis or too many options to choose. Entertainment in the room was meh. THey have you sign in on your netflix, Max, Disney (Dismal for SW fans) etc. THey had Tubi which was free movies from 80's - early 2k. So that offset it. Kinda wish they did the airline thang with a whole set of movies / shows but more selection since its ground based and not flying (the not so) friendly skies. Anyway, stay here 4 central SD action, enjoy mission valley and SD . . . Con is freeway is jumping distance (kinda) so if you get freeway side rooms (lower # so like 2nd floor its 201-205 etc), you hear traffic noise

The 3 star review was due to several issues. My first room TV didn't work so I had to change rooms because it couldn't be fixed. Second room one bedside lamp was falling apart and didn't work even after I tried different bulbs, showerhead fell apart when I tried to adjust water stream, sheer at the window had a 2 foot tear, there was rust around the bathroom door. Things need to be spruced up! Lobby, convenience store were nice. Check in was quick efficient.

Hotel room was spacious yet cozy and had a very comfortable bed.The hotel lobby was clean and had a nice layout. It was easy to get around the hotel. The complementary breakfast was very delicious!!

I was not informed of a parking fee until check in ! After explaining to front desk that I possess a handicap license plate, fee was reduced to $10. However, my credit car was charged $35; I had to called Hampton location and the representative did some quick research and corrected the issue immediately. I informed front desk upon check out that refrigerator did not cool ! She seemingly was not interested and only commented that she would leave a note. The king sized bed was very uncomfortable compared to various other Hampton Inn locations that I have recently stayed. in addition, we paid for breakfast in our stay and most breakfast items was out when we arrived at 8 am and attendant was very stressed and rude when asked questions concerning breakfast. This location was overall not a good experience.

The hotel was in very clean condition and the front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. The only negative items that we came across were the seats in the dining area were worn and torn, however the dining area was kept very clean and organized. It was very roomy with many tables. In our room the bath tub was very old and scratched up and the wall paper next to the shower was peeling off, however the shower had great water pressure which was a big plus. Needless to say the bathroom could use a refurbishing. These were minor observations and did not really negatively affect our stay. We will stay here again in the future.

The hotel was centrally located and easy to get to USD. The pool and hot tub were very clean and nice. The breakfast was good. Very clean, and it had a microwave and refrigerator in the room. Very nice for families.

Girls trip. Room was nice and clean. Breakfast was very good and even had gluten free options. The elevator emergency system accidentally got pushed by the luggage cart. It took 12 min for an operator to answer the call. That was very unsettling as we knew if their was a real emergency it would take a long time for a response. Also there is not enough parking for that large of a hotel. The parking is very narrow so navigating around other vehicles was very tedious. There wasnt enough handicapped parking spaces either. We ended up in overflow parking which has no room to turn around in or to back up. Also, you have to pay $25 a stay to park their. Even in a handicap spot.

In May when we were here last everything was great. This time however the lady in the breakfast are was very rude not only to my grandson but I witnessed the same thing to another guest. I may think twice before I stay here again.

Was placed in a room where AC unit was not working. I initially thought the AC unit was just slow and that the room would cool itself in a few hours so we went to bed (this was it was around 10pm) and we were all tired. Found out the next morning the AC was broken as the room never cooled and we were sleeping in an 80 degree room. Staff was accommodating and placed us in a different room. Room had mold in the bathroom. Place needs maintenance.

There wasn’t a safe. Please put fans in the bathroom. The refrigerator didn’t get cold. The outside of it was cold but not the inside. It is a nice place to stay.

The lobby area is nice and clean and we enjoyed the various hot selections for breakfast. The room could have been better though. It was pretty small and we couldn’t get the AC to work at night. There’s also no vent in the bathroom so the moisture causes the walls to stain a yellowish brown.

I was very pleased with my stay we did stay until he 4 floor and it could get a noisy from the outside traffic but the view was amazing we got to see the fireworks from Sea World.. The gentleman at the front counter was super nice at check in we will d definitely stay here again in the future .

Only complaint- I wish knew the mini fridge only stays cold for 2 hrs and then you have to press a button every 2 hours to keep it cold. (The int in my room also kept needing to be reset altogether). If I had known that, I wouldn’t have brought sandwich stuff to use so have lunch for an event I was working in town. They should make that 2 hr thing more obviously explained anywhere they mention this ”perk” online. I just would have liked to have not had to throw food out due to having to work more than two hours haha. Everything else was nice. It was great that they have free breakfast each day. The staff was super kind.
