Decent hotel for just a base. Room basic but bed comfortable and good shower. Breakfast quite basic but was enough for an early start. Reception helpful. Great location.

Great location just off the busy areas but close enough to walk to all sites! Breakfast offers a good variety. Our room was very quiet so slept well.

We stayed for 9 nights. The location of the hotel was great for access to Vatican City although a bit of a walk to other places with the children. The room itself was spacious enough with good plumbing and it was clean. An iron and ironing board would have made it perfect. The hotel employees are very polite and responsive. There are a nice selection of places to eat within 20 meters. Would definitely stay again.

We were impressed by the service and friendliness at this hotel. We were a family travelling as a large group (18 of us) and we were warmly received. The hotel is on the smaller side, but was very clean, well air conditioned, great showers, reasonable room size for Rome. The breakfast was not bad. Excellent restaurant and bar nearby. Well located and easy walking distance to major attractions and shopping. Although it would technically be a 3 or 4 star hotel (it is not luxurious) I give the 5 stars for the exceptional service. Thank you to Danilo and the entire team!

The hotel is very well located. Away from the busy streets but with several restaurants near and buzzes to the main sights at the door. The rooms are nice and big and the staff is incredibly kind. We were very happy and highly recommended it!

Its clean, staff are friendly and helpful especially the front desk receptionist "Vlad" who also was very helpful sharing vital info about transport and places to eat. I will recommend this hotel to friends and family who are visiting Rome!

We booked our 5 night stay very last minute. We noticed the prices of other hotels in Rome were very high compared to the Hotel Diplomatic. The hotel was excellent. The staff were friendly and helpful. It was very clean. The air con worked really well and we were pretty central to most landmarks. I would highly recommend this hotel.

i love the classic solid wood furnishing of the hotel room, giving you an authentic vintage hotel style, the area is safe, quiet, not busy and well lit at night with plenty of dining options just next door (everyone must try the salvatore di matteo pizzeria the best i ever had, smash tag is very convenient comfort food too). the reception is excellent always helpful and so very kind, breakfast staff were very welcoming and attentive, my scrambled egg was always ready without even having to ask, love the patio breakfast area. overall a great place to stay in rome will definitely come again.

Great hotel. We stayed here for four nights. Rooms are good, little more spacious than what we had in London and Paris. Excellent location and walkable to all major attractions. Breakfast was good. The reception staff are excellent and friendly. Thanks for helping us getting around the place and dinging places.

The photos are very deceiving, they are not even half of what they seem in the advertisements. The staff is very friendly and tried to help you as much as they can, but I saw better and much cheaper places.

Lovely property that allows you to feel comfortable and safe while being able to explore Rome. There is also plenty of transportation options and is very close to several sights! Staff was so friendly and when we return to Rome this hotel will be our first choice!

I am so happy that I booked hotel Diplomatic through Expedia! The hotel made a reservation for private taxi to pick us up from airport and I am thankful that I did it because the wait line to get from the airport to get the taxi was ridiculous. The check in was easy and quick. The hotel is in best location close to everything, bus station is right in front of the hotel. Rooms are nice, cleaned every day, there is enough towels and they change them every day. When we arrived our bad’s were put together but you can easily separate them. WiFi is good, breakfast is ok, basic but good Everyone was very friendly and helpful. I need to mention receptionist GIANLUCA. He was super nice, very helpful and always happy to help. Thanks to his recommendation and advises we explored the Rome in fullness. He was very patient and detailed. Will definitely come back to Hotel Diplomatic and will recommend it to all my family and friends

Didn’t like that the mattress was torn in several places and the toilet had to be flushed several times to get waste down. Then the wall area where you flushed started to leak water. The picture is not what was advertised. We saw no pool. And we thought it was more on an American look. That is one of the reason we choose the hotel.

Hotel Diplomatic was an excellent choice for us. It was walking distance to most attractions and central for our visits to the Stadio Olympico. The staff were all amazing, really friendly and so helpful. We tried a few of the restaurants immediately nearby and went back to Giudice 3 times, and Bull dog twice. The hotel is quite dated which is part of its charm but for eg the bathroom could really do with renovation, the shower was a dribble and felt old and a bit unclean even though it was actually clean! 1 channel of English programmes on the TV came a bit boring also 😆 We would definitely stay again, to summerise it’s great value for money in a brilliantly convenient spot with lovely people and surroundings

This property was in a quiet, safe location conveniently located. The hotel itself was a little disappointing. The pictures online are not what you get. Online it looks much nicer. Hotel in perfect walking distance to almost all historical buildings and sites. Reception was excellent and staff extremely helpful. Breakfast was a unfortunately terrible. Staff in breakfast room unpleasant, unhelpful and extremely sparse with breakfast offerings. Two croissants put out at a time for all guests present, would not let quests put two tables together for four of them. Signs all over letting guests know that NO food allowed to be taken out of breakfast room even to their rooms. On the other hand bedrooms were very clean and tidy and as I said before, reception staff were friendly and very helpful.

Rooms were good size and clean, staff very helpful and friendly, LOCATION was great every close very walkable, Vatian and Castel Sto Angelo very close, Piazza Novona, Pantheon and Spanish Piazza no more than 15 min. walk. Bus stop right in front of the hotel that will take you to the Closiseum. Everything very good.
