Very clean, staff was friendly and efficient. Walls are a little thin, you can hear people talking, but not what they are saying. You do hear the traffic, but location isn't traffic heavy. Soft comfortable bed, with enough pillows for 2 (in a king room). Great place to stay especially for the price.

Had booked my room online. When I got there, I didnt know there was a refundable deposit of $100. Luckily i had it to give them or else I would have been out of a room and the total of the room I had already paid. Room was clean, checked for bedbugs; there were no bugs. Had a horrible night, couldnt sleep, the beds were uncomfortable to me. The beds were very soft! Expected to have a continental breakfast because its what i had read on the site but went to the office to ask about breakfast and he gave us a bag breakfast with a frozen Jimmy Dean breakfast sandwich, yogurt and a milk. Room was a little high for what they offered but it was a place to relax for a bit.

Room was fine except that the LOCKS ON THE WINDOW WERE BROKEN and we were on the first floor. Did not sleep well at all knowing this. Plus for paying $300+ for this room (just because there was a concert in town) there was no type of breakfast included , no bottled water in the room. Everything was just basic, no extras after paying over $300!

This is a comfortable and clean bed for us midway in our travels. Simple, clean. FYI breakfast is a bagged breakfast. Very ample! Pick it up before you check out so you can use the microwave if you wish. Friendly staff.

The room and sheets were dirty. I originally booked for two nights but checked out the next morning. Some guests were arguing between 2 and 3 am. I got zero sleep and was unable to prepare for my job next day. Stay away from this place if possible and pay the extra money and stay somewhere else.

Expensive to stay in Maine in the summer but this is just a worn out room in a worn out hotel. Smell of pot in the parking lot and lots of dogs around barking. Just needed a place to sleep as we moved on to Bar Harbor.

Very mediocre experience. Non smoking room smelled like cigarette smoke covered with Lysol. Free breakfast was a bag with a Hostess Honeybun, Activia Yogurt and a Hot Pocket. No elevator.

Service at the front desk was horrible, the lady was in a mood. The ad shows a pool, which is a major reason we booked here and the pool shut down years ago. Remove the damn pool pictures from your ad. The room was decent though, bed was cozy.

I never write a review on anything. Here was my review on the Howard Johnson we literally RAN INTO TRAFFIC TO GET AWAY FROM We are on a family road trip with young kids and booked the Howard Johnson based on the photos online and the chain name. From the moment I pulled up, I felt uncomfortable. The place had a funny smell and looked scummy. I had already booked the room so thought I would get it a try. The receptionist was pleasant and directed me to my room. The clientele walking around the outside of the inn made me feel uncomfortable but I thought I would find my room and settle in. The door off of the parking lot which had a lock on it that would open with a room key WAS COMPLETELY BUSTED! Anyone could just walk off the street and walk into the corridor, with one of my rooms being the first one inside this UNLOCKED door. I continued to feel uncomfortable, however again tried to give it a chance. Upon opening the BROKEN-LOCKED DOOR I walked into the inn and was hit with quite a stench. It smelled dirty whole trying to be masked with some type of cleaner. Again, having paid for my room, I continued to try and have a positive attitude and talk myself into staying the one night. I entered my room and was met with something that looked similar to the images on the website, however much more run down. I went outside and tried to talk my friend into coming in to look at the room. We both felt uncomfortable but I said I would show her and we would make a decision about what to

Sheets did not fit the bed. After lying on the bed you were on the bare mattress as the sheets pulled off of the mattress. Restaurant not open. A bagged breakfast is not acceptable. Hotel ad just said breakfast included.brown bag is not breakfast.
