The hotel staff were friendly. However, the room was not clean. There were a line of dead bugs. Looked like someone sprayed them, and never cleaned them up. The bathroom had stuff all over the wall's.

The room we had reserved wasnt available. We were notified very professionally and were taken care of with an upgrade at no additional charge. Which was incredibly fabulous! We had a suite. Shampoo, conditioner, body wash AND lotion were provided. The continental HOT breakfast was GREAT. The food options stay the same every day that we were there. But it was included in our stay. We stayed Friday thru Monday and paid $338. $50 deposit

Bathroom tub drain full of hair -- we had to dig it out to not have water up above our ankles!! Room only cleaned once during 3 night stay. Stairways blocked off. Overall property not kept up well!!

I've stayed here many times and will continue to do so. #1 location, near beach, Balboa, Laguna, restaurants, and shopping. #2 comfortable, spacious rooms, clean, well-maintained property. #3 Small gym is a plus. #4 refrig and wifi.

Outdated hotel. I stayed there 15 years ago and it was a lot better. The place outside wasn’t so nice. I was surprised with the condition. The bed was very comfortable and I liked that it had a mini fridge. It’s good to just have a place to sleep.

Decent hotel close to Newport. Room was spacious and comfortable. Was woken up by a screaming drunk guest pounding on her room door to get in. Police arrived as it turned into a DV situation.

Stayed here for a weekend so we could visit family in the area. Good location and price, dated facility. Didn’t bother me however! It was comfortable. Worth the trade off since the beach hotels were three times as much or more. Breakfast included which was nice.

We had a very nice room! The bed was comfortable and every thing was tidy and clean. I was disappointed the elevator was out of service!! That was very hard on me. I have a bad right knee and back problems. Thank you for asking.

Ants in 1 room & broken door in our 2nd conjoined room. Our kid was locked inside the bathroom. Maintenence came, finally got him out & said they'd inform management. After the fact, asked Hotels.com to see if theyd credit partial (rented 2 rooms for 3 or 4 nights) and the Ramada said no. They couldn't even make it right, by a partial compensation. It won't let me upload pics here. Room was NOT updated like they said.

Just an overnight stay for business but was very disappointed at the condition of the property. There was an entire stairwell chained off and several of the stairs on the open stairwells were covered in caution tape. The location is noisy. The vending machines are over priced. The ice machine is located in the parking lot by the pool. The whole place felt very cheap. It was overpriced given the condition and location and quality. Would not stay there again.

I learned the hard way if you book through Expedia , and the property sells out, the software will automatically assign the least desirable room. I did not book an ‘accessible’ room, but that’s what I got. I didn’t mind the room- but it had a window that directly faced a wall! I don’t expect a view, but I do expect light! On the first night when I asked for the room I booked, I was told the property was sold out and they couldn’t help me move until the next day. The next morning I was told to pack my bag and leave it in the room, and it would be moved to the new room while I was at the beach. In total spoke to 3 different people at the front desk. When we returned I checked with the front desk to get the new key, and was told they knew nothing about any of this- and my bag was still in my original room! They then told me the sold out thing again - at this point I got upset and named each person I spoke to. Finally they switched our room. Truly terrible management. The room had peeling wallpaper in the bathroom and was dated in general. Now the good news. The beds are very comfortable- slept like a baby. The hotel is very close to Newport Beach -maybe a 5-10 car ride. So I’d stay here again if only for its location- but they really need to get their front desk together.

Great experience. I stayed solo, safeness was my priority. Watch the sunset from the beach safe drive back to the hotel safe entrance loved it.

There was flooding in one of the halls between rooms, and there was an alarm in a nearby shipping dock that went off consistently during the two days we were there. The staff informed us that the hotel had overbooked the hotel, and we were lucky to get the last room. They turned away the man in line after us, even though he had a reservation.

Checking in early is a $25 fee if your room is available. I was told to come back at 3 then upon returning they “gave away” my reserved King bed room to someone else and we were given a “king bed suite” that was at the very end of property. The hotel itself is outdated and dirty. We get to the room and it’s outdated and bathroom was weird with separate sink, small toilet and dirty corners. Around 9 pm room next to us must have been filming an X rated film there was bed headboard knocking all night and loud bass playing music throughout the night and even in the morning when we left. Music was playing loud, our room faced Newport Blvd and it was loud from traffic. Save your money.

I and my wife has stayed here numerous times in the past was always very comfortable it's been a while but for some reason it seems things have changed the bed wasn't as comfortable as it seemed to be previously and I know it being summertime bugs are out but yes ants in the bathroom areas definitely needs to be checked and yes I informed the office about it and used to get a better deal at the front desk versus using a third party but this time there was no leeway whatsoever had to go with the third party God bless all

The hotel is on the old side but very well kept. The room was very clean. There's plenty of parking. There's also a shopping center nearby. Highly recommend it you are on a budget.

I arrived late to the hotel. Upon arrival, I was notified that my room was unavailable due to a plumbing problem. Though this problem presented itself much earlier, they never notified me. So I was given the opportunity to refund my money or get two smaller rooms. It was late and my family was exhausted, so I opted for the two rooms. The rooms smelled horrible. Trash was all over the place. We all ended up cramming into a single room because no one wanted to sleep separately. This is a cheap motel with expensive prices. Find anywhere else.

Looks nothing like pics~ very dated. Restaurant & Bar both closed. Shuttle out of service . Stairwell by room closed for maintenance. Coffee maker in room missing pot & none available . Continental breakfast is only a terrible take out bag is orange, muffin & granola bar.

Location with respect to good coffee (Peet’s) and Newport Beach was good. Otherwise, a swimming pool in the middle of a parking lot surrounded by busy streets, a noisy mal-functioning ac unit in the room with soaking wet carpeting in front of it, a closed restaurant with continental breakfast swapped for bag of breakfast (I passed), left much to be desired. Let’s hope I caught this dilapidated hotel in between things and better conditions and renovations are yet to come. It seemed mostly dated and in much need of some TLC,
