The location is amazing and the pool and beach areas are top notch. The rooms are simple but good but the beds are TERRIBLE. We could hardly sleep.

When we arrived to check in everything went normal up until we got to our room when I tried to take a shower. There was no water. I called the front desk and was told it would be back in 30 min. So we went to the pool and saw the employees taking water out of the pool in buckets for use in the hotel and the other guest said they had been out of water for a day already and that they were fixing the pumps so why did they bother to tell us this at check in I felt taken advantage of jipped robed for the price they charge a night it’s ridiculous. The 30 year old hotel is well taken care of visually but it’s what you expect form a older property the staff is mediocre to say it nicely and the all inclusive plan which we pairs 50$ per person was worse than elementary school food. The only restaurant is in the lobby and its food is stale and tasteless as If it’s 30 years old it’s self. The day we checked out we got a burger before we left and they were trying to charge us for it because it was past our check out Time by 15 min. Really but yet you have no water in treating. I’d say avoid the property all together and pony up the extra dough for a newer property it will be worth it.

Although this resort is older, it is unique in its character vs all of surrounding resorts. It was really well kept with some updates, clean, and the staff was so nice. We would definitely stay here again.

Great view of the ocean. Nice size pool. Wait staff was great. The food was better than expected. They make fresh tortillas right in front of you. The mixed drinks were so so. The band in the lobby was great. Rooms were clean but dated. We were upgraded upon checkin which was nice. Immediately after check in the concierge came up to us to explain the facilities and the hours of operation along with a lot of other useful information. The grounds were nice and clean. Key card for the rooms are a little weird (a hole punch pattern) and if they don’t line up perfectly it could take a while to get in your room. All in all we got what we expected at the price we paid and was honestly expecting sub par food but was pleasantly surprised at what they had for breakfast and dinner. Even though it was a small buffet, the food was good during those times. For lunch I would recommend the snack bar menus as opposed to the buffet. Overall I got what I expected from the price with a few additional bonuses.

Overall the property was well maintained and a good value for the price. We enjoyed the pool with the swim up bar. My one criticism was the strict non smoking policy. It would have been nice to have been able to have a cigar on the balcony. Nonetheless, a great experience overall.

You get what you pay for. The property has a ton of deferred maintenance and the rooms are gross. It is a good place to get a planters wart. We ended up paying to stay at this place and the Hyatt down the street. I couldn’t bring myself to pull back the blankets and sleep at the Posada Real. We ordered a pina colada and it tasted terrible. It looked like it had beer mixed in with it. The pool has a million tiles missing and it is generally falling apart. Beware.

I really wanted to like this resort but unfortunately, it didn't meet my expectations and I would not recommend staying here. Below are my pros/cons: Pros: -The beach was huge and clean. The property grounds were well-maintained and beautiful. -Staff were friendly enough and helpful, though I didn't interact with them much. -There are hammocks outside, along with a pool and hot tub. -Some nice restaurants are nearby within walking distance, and Plaza Mijares (great area) was a short Uber ride away. Cons: -Having a good night's rest proved to be very challenging. The beds and pillows were incredibly uncomfortable: the pillows were small and lumpy, and the mattresses made you wake up in pain because their springs would dig into your body. -The room doors were SO loud. If you tried to take a nap or fall asleep at night and one of your neighbors came back to their room, there's no way you could sleep. I had to hear doors basically slamming throughout the day and into the night. -The food selection was lackluster and the meals were overpriced. The fruit was covered in flies so I definitely wasn't able to take advantage of the buffet, which didn't have that many options to begin with. If you want to get a nice meal at a decent price, leave the resort. -The pool: I didn't get a chance to enjoy the pool because there were children in there day and night. It looks like the pool was also 5 ft. around and didn't get any shallower than that. -Hot tub was very small as well!

No AC for 7 out of 9 days night show suspended supposedly because it wasn’t enough people at the hotel which is not fear for us show has to continue no water for 3 hours for the whole hotel which they have to have a second plan for any water pump fail.t they cut the water off with no previous notice. The pool needs a lot of maintenance. The main concern was the AC because it was so hot outside and inside was about the same temperature on the days was on they had it very low over all I will not be back to this hotel no more. They do have a good AC in the rooms but I wasn’t willing to be in the room all day.

It’s a great affordable all inclusive, staff is excellent, the only bad experience I had was they didn’t want to give me lunch before I caught my plane because check out was at 11, come on guys, I just spent a week there and tipped very well even though the tip was included in the room price, don’t be so tight to leaving guests, give them some lunch the last day!!!

This property looks and feels tired. Balcony door didn't lock, towels were threadbare, Internet access was slow to non-existent. The only positives are the price and convenient location within easy walking distance to a large grocery store. Although the area right next to the property is completely uninteresting.

The hotel has a great staff. Very helpful and sincere. Everyone from Luis and Ramon at the front desk and bellman to Salvatore and Simon at the Cactus restaurant. Just wonderful people. I'll be back very soon!

Rooms were clean, staff was kind but the pushy sales person wouldn’t let up. If you just want a place to sleep the beds are old & warm out. Pool is old & tiles are falling off the walls & bottom of pool coming up. Sodas are flat & beers are served from dirty glasses. Stayed 2 days. Wouldn’t come back though.

Very deceiving. From the pictures on Expedia I was excited about our stay. I was also under the impression that I booked an all inclusive. The resort was not what I was expecting and it was not an all inclusive which turned out to be ok as the one and only restaurant had terrible food. We had to pay an extra $200 US to upgrade our room to get a fridge so we could buy our own food. The fridge was sooooo small.
