The room and hotel in general were clean. The hotel was extremly dated. Needs paint and new matressess. They were too soft. The water pressure sucked. Very few plug ins in the room. We actually had to put coffee maker on kitchen sink to make coffee.overall we are not fussy and the stay was fine. But some people would not like it. I thought the rooms were charming. The first room the tub didnt drain, tge bed was way too soft. We asked for a different room and were accomedated right away . The front desk staff were really good.

Not bad for the price. The room was big and relatively clean, though it could use some updating. Bit of a drive and a toll bridge to get to downtown Halifax, about a 20 minute drive.

Stains on curtains, absolutely disgusting. Extremely dusty. Ice machine was broken...received ice from bar had black specs in it. Restaurant was closed. Elevator was stinky. Although, and having said that the front desk staff who wore many hats were magnificent.

Room condition very poor .bathroom door needs replaced, picture window frame in room poor condition, location seedy building across street smelled like mold in batroom and elevator, will not return...2 star at best.

This hotel was decent for the price so we were not upset to stay here. As with any hotels there are pro’s and con’s: Pro’s Bed was super comfy and pillows were good Shower in our room was awesome and makes me want the raindrop style at home too Room was clean Proximity to mall and outlets was great for us Cons Room was not the one we booked Hotel was very dated Walls were thin and I could hear a TV on and people talking for most of the night Immediate proximity of the hotel was dingy and the motel across the street looked like something out of a tv crime show

Very old and dark interior, and sketchy neighbours across the street in what I assume used to be a motel. My room was dark with only 2 little grandma type lamps. Windows were dirty, not that I needed to see what was going on outside the “motel” across the street. The staff were wonderful however the “Inn” needs a makeover.

Upon arrival in our room there was a very odd smell. The bathroom even worse of a smell with gross blackness all inside the toilet. The AC did not work, although two fans were supplied. Odd noises in what we could only assume was the walls. TV you could not adjust the volume and it was set way too loud. Our second night guests were slamming doors and screaming at 2am and no phone in the room to call down to complain to staff. Not enough parking and in a very ghetto part of town. Beds were comfortable.

Good location by the highway. Poor internet connection tried to work with staff to resolve issuie but it couldnt be resolved. Its an old building needs some updating.

There was a park with a river within walking distance, the Superstore is on the same plaza, the hotel is beautiful, well maintained, we had very clean and cozy room.

This is not a boutique hotel! Adding somewhat antique style furniture to a tired old property does not make it boutique. Musty smell as you enter hotel. Lobby dark and uninviting. Elevator stinks of mustiness and small. Carpet dingy where it has not been replaced. Bathroom barely big enough for one person. Toilet not totally bolted down so moves when you sit on it and get up. Shower fixtures old and felt like they were going to come out of the wall. Hard to wash hands in sink when fixtures barely fit over sink. Pillows were odd sizes, some were twin size and one was standard. Ice machine did not work so had to go to lobby to get ice. Cheap selection of teas to drink. Also located in a questionable location. Would not have chosen this hotel if I had known its location.
