The female manager was very nice. It is odd the hotel does not offer bottled water in their rooms nor does it sell regular bottled water. I confirmed this with a front desk gentlemen. I had seen the female manager give a guest two bottled waters. I inquired the next night as they only had carbonated water in the marketplace to sell. The gentlemen told me they did not have any bottled water to sell or give. I will stay at this hotel again as overall it is very nice and a good price for what you get.

Our room was exceptionally tiny. Including the bathroom. My 14 year old daughter bought some sodas from downstairs and the man that waited on her wouldn’t give her change when she paid in cash for the sodas. While walking on the sidewalk of the hotel at night, my daughters and I observed a man in a first floor room with his curtains wide open, watching pornographic videos on his laptop at the desk. Overall not a great stay.

Must be a good place if Wake Forest and Oregon State athletic teams used it. Enjoyed the whole lroperty. My only complaint is the bar closed earlier than I'd have liked.

The service was awesome but the room was terrible. The carpet looked dirty, the beds and bathroom did look clean however. None of the electronics were plugged in. We didn’t even have an alarm clock. The mini fridge was leaking and obviously not working. The staff was kind and offered to move us but we were so tired, moving rooms felt more like a chore. We weren’t comfortable at all but everyone was pretty nice.

I had stayed at this hotel on many occasions. Unfortunately, the hotel is in very bad shape. The carpets are dirty, one elevator does not work and the other one is always busy and makes a noise as if it is going to stop working any moment. The cleaning services is awful. They only made the beds but did not clean the bathroom or vacuum the carpet. They left the dirty towels on the bathroom floor. For the night price we payed for this hotel they don’t even have a complimentary bottle of water. At checkout the lady had walked out of the front desk and a gentleman tried to find her while we wait. So sad that this used to be a favorite hotel but the quality has gone down.

This property was quiet, clean, comfortable and updated. It's conveniently located less than 10 mins from University of Michigan's North Campus. Staff was friendly and attentive.

I am very disappointed with how quickly things are changing at this property. We stayed at the same hotel three months ago and things were already bad in terms of staff professionalism, but the hotel had many good amenities. However, now they seem to be more focused on making money and care less about their customers in general. One thing that caught my eye was that they removed the free coffee section near the check-in area which was meant to help customers. They now offer coffee, but we have to purchase it.

The billing was messed uo. I made a reservation by expedia and was charged on july 4th and when checking out ubwas charged again for more. Why would they double bill just because i reserved thrw expedia and was told to call expedia to straighted it out because double tree didnt havecexpedia confirmation

Comfortable stay. There was a lot of doors slamming and talking around us late into night towards early morning, but that was not the hotels fault. We did eat dinner there and it was a bit spendy.

Main reason for the overall lower score was on our first night we were on bed at around 11:00 at night when someone walked into our room! Their room key let them into our room! It was a real shock to both her and us. We called the front desk and were told a large group had just checked in and there had been a mixup in room keys.

The first room we were given was dirty and the toilet was broken. The staff was very kind and switched us to a clean room with a working toilet. There was a kids' hockey tournament on in the area, and the whole place was overrun by 8-10 year old boys tearing through the halls and riding the elevators for fun. That is the fault of their parents, but no one from the hotel appeared to do anything about it. Pretty unpleasant!

Staff was 5 stars—super nice. Everything else was a mess. Blood on sheets, blood on hairdryer bag (how?) mirror falling off the wall, a toilet designed for a kindergartner.. overall very nasty for a double tree

I was staying as part of a work trip to the University of Michigan north campus, for which it was nicely located. I really appreciated the guest laundry. The nearby supermarkets and Mark's Coney diner were welcome too. Big room, with low noise issues. My main complaint is that the cleaning team were inconsistent - some days I would get my coffee replaced, many days I would not. And there were soap/shampoo/etc dispensers in the shower - these were empty when I arrived, and never refilled. I'd stay again.
