Smelly hallways

The hotel was clean and the room was nice, however my family would have like a hot breakfast.

Convenient for college visits locally. Clean and up-to-date. Not great for breakfast option.

The staff member, Andrew was very pleasant. He was very helpful with getting me checked in after hours.

Very friendly staff and the room was very clean.

In town, weird tv problem kept turning off sound, a littke dark but parking is in front, overall clean and convenient.

Rooms were renovated so looked nice. But no hot water, only cool water in shower and sink. No grab bar! Poor breakfast. Very loud in hallways in middle of night.

Great hotel and staff. Friendly, clean and easy parking.

The evening host was not very helpful. We were looking for a place to get dinner. She told us to walk just down to the corner and there was a good Italian Resturant. We walked down at least 3 blocks and found nothing even open for business. So we walked farther and found an Irish Pub, which had bar food. It was good food but very slow. We felt the hostess could have been more helpful. Then this morning we were rcttemelly disappointed in the breakfast offered. We are both diabetic and not one thing was offered that didn’t contain sugar, and the coffee was cold. When we asked. The hostess seemed put put because she had to refill empty baskets.

Good stay

The floor was a faux wood with no carpet. We thought this would be cleaner than carpet but after about an hour of being in the room, we looked at the bottom of our socks and they were black! So dirty! The sheets had stains on them. We felt grossed out the rest of the night and looked forward to the morning so we could leave the premises.

Much improved from the other times ive stayed there. The smell from the pool is gone and the room was renovated. The person at the desk could have been friendlier.

Hotel was clean and the staff was nice and very polite. Near a few restaurants and a short drive to the car museum.

Room was remodeled looked nice. Lobby area was small, limited breakfast options. Great pizza dining in the area.

This is my 3rd stay since the property became The Red Roof Inn. Overall, still a much better place than years past. My only complaints are the rooms are starting to need attention. On this visit, the air conditioner was not working properly and making a lot of noise when on (Room 222). On my previous visit, the lock on the door was broken and, as it was the weekend, no one was available to fix it. If the property wants to maintain decent ratings, I suggest they have a regular maintence schedule for the rooms ( or at least check ups) and ensure a property maintainence person is available all times. The only other item was the front desk staff. They were great however, they are expected to do laundry thus leaving the front desk area. Upon check out we waited for someone for over 10 minutes until someone reappeared. If this is the arrangement, please put in a bell or buzzard that can alert staff that customer service is needed at the front desk. Overall, good stay.

The property appears to have been recently renovated. It was clean and beds were comfortable.

Loved it. It was quite if there was any issues, the attended to them right away.

Very clean room. Well serviced each day. Comfortable bed and tidy room overall.

Solid hotel. Quick check in and a nice room. Service people were nice. I had to leave for work at 6:40 so I got was some warm coffee and I think they had apple juice out. Was that breakfast? It seem like a nice place. I took a walk down Main Street.

Property is fairly old, but the staff is friendly and the service was good. The safe in my room was not operational.

When walking into the lobby, the place smelled musty and gross. The desk receptionist was unfriendly and the elevator wasn’t able to hold a luggage cart along with our party of three. Thankfully, when we arrived to our room, it was updated and as the pictures show. The inside of the room was nice. The bathroom was small. The door had at least a one inch gap between the floor and its bottom. Definitely a cause to use the deadbolt and chain. Breakfast included some juice boxes, packaged muffins, and granola bars. Would not recommend nor stay again.

The service of the staff was very accommodating

Had a wonderful one night stay in this hotel. Booked because the price was right. So pleasantly surprised by the place. The gentleman at the front desk when we arrived was very pleasant and gave us an excellent recommendation for dinner. Restaurants and park in walking distance of the hotel. The room was clean and had a very nice smell. This is the first I’ve seen a hotel room with laminate flooring, and I really liked it. The bathroom was clean with no smell or signs of mildew. And best of all it was quiet all night, no hallway or street noise. Will definitely stay again if I’m back in the area.

This hotel has gone thru many owners over 40 years. I stopped going to it due to conditions that were deteriorating. Now that Red Roof has taken over there has been substantial improvements. Your choices in Norwich, NY are limited but Red Roof is a good hotel for the local area

Rooms were nice and very comfortable service was excellent. But newly renovating so no pool and restaurant. Said they have free breakfast it consisted of box juice water coffee packaged blueberry muffins and peanut granola bars

It was cool, clean, quiet, comfortable and smoke-free!

Property was fine overall, though there was no housekeeping service provided during our stay.
