While the rooms are small and the elevator frequently breaks down, I would still recommend this hotel for a one-night stay, but my experience was not satisfying.

Enjoyed our stay in this classic Miami Beach Art Deco hotel located right next door to where they filmed chainsaw scene from Scarface now a very convenient CVS. I would describe this hotel as well as others on the strip as being sort of European. Smaller rooms and bathroom. But It was clean. Check in was a little rocky and weren't able to check in at 4 but had to wait until later but they took care of us with a discount. Location is great. Good value for the money. Would stay here again.

Excellent location - obviously! Small but beautifully formed room - very comfortable and immaculate. Stayed for 3 nights and would definitely do so again. Beach towels provided - nice touch and used. Thanks

Great stay in a perfect location! Everything was in walking distance. The bathrooms are really dark with a very dim light which wasn’t great. There was one small mirror in the bathroom and a mirror on the wall both not great when getting ready. Definitely recommend taking your own mirror to do hair and makeup.

Loved South Beach Miami. The Colony was a lovey historic hotel. Cute little bar. Friendly staff and great little on-site restaurant. Loved the Scarface theme.

Hotel staff were great, especially Wes. Very kind and helpful, and happy! New carpet was being installed, so it was a bit of a strong odor, but not their fault. Kinda dark overall.

We're were there for 5 days and not once did housekeeping clean. Not once we're we provided fresh clean towels or linens. I had to go down nightly to ask for clean linen and a broom and bought my own garbage bags! Crappy service.

Fantastic location right on Ocean drive across from the beach with lots of activity on the street…Mangos just a block or so down. Room was clean, in good shape and comfortable. We were on the first floor. Restaurant was good too! Stayed a random Wednesday in June and rates were super low. This added to the happiness factor.

Mgmt Did Not Accommodate me with the room I reserved. I was given the Worst Room, No Drawers , Hangers, Chairs, Shelves, etc. I was a returning guest (3) times one year. Never again. I did make a claim with management at Colony Hotel.

Beautiful art deco exterior in a fabulous location. The interior was as I expected, kind of European in feel/style. Monica was particularly friendly as she checked us in (and out). We had breakfast at the cafe that is on the facility and it was delicious with great staff. The only negative is that valet parking is not ideal. They served us well, but it is on Ocean Blvd and they have one space. If someone is already in that space you are stuck. If I had to do it all over again I would have parked at a nearby garage and walked to the hotel. My rating remains a 5 even with the valet comment. It was a perfect choice.

I stayed at the colony 3 nights for memorial day weekend and for my birthday I was able to check in early and the morning staff was super nice and welcoming and didn't mind getting me check in early. The food was awesome the location was great but unfortunately the hotel lack hot water for my last two days and in 91 degrees in Miami that is just not okay. And all they could tell me was management was working on it. Very upsetting will be visiting Miami again just maybe not the colony.
