I was initially put in a room that already occupied. I opened the door and there were already ppl in there.

First off the room did not have towels. The front desk closes at 11 so you’ll have to call a number to reach someone. We called the number to get towels never got an answer. In the morning we called for towels never got an answer. We went to the front to get towels the next morning but was told that housekeeping didn’t come in until 9am. The room itself wasn’t clean, the carpet needs to come up because it’s dirty. The beds were comfortable. That was the only thing decent about our stay. Charles was nice at check in. The lady we talked to the next morning wasn’t so pleasant. She argued me up and down that we hadn’t called and I have proof that we called and used the messaging app. She came off as being really rude. I normally don’t leave bad reviews but I’ve never had a bad stay anywhere. This was by far the worse stay I’ve had in all my years. Some things I can deal with but having to use my clothing to wash up with is ridiculous. Being argued down like I would lie about calling emergency number for service is bad business. I’ll never stay there again. Thankful for the lesson learned tho.

The hotel smells of weeds. The neighbors were smoking weed along the corridor and making so much noise at midnight. The phone in the room is not working to call the reception.

So I got two rooms one of the rooms reeked of smoke really really bad. The toaster didn't work and other appliances didn't work the garbage disposal when you turned it on cigarette butts were coming up. They had to have the maintenance guy there. I was just about to contact you guys to see how we can fix this and when I asked them for a refund, they told me they could give me $25 but they took $100 deposit.

This is an odor hotel that is being remodeled. It was very clean, staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The rate was more than fair and it was a quiet, peaceful stay for myself on a business trip. I genuinely look forward to staying there again when in the Montgomery, AL area.

We evacuated from Florida for Milton. Drove 17 hours due to massive traffic. Didnt get to hotel until 6:30am the morning after our first night's reservation. We were all exhausted. The suite was filthy. Our shoes stuck to the kitchen floor and the counter was just as sticky. All the vents were moldy and dirty along with the ceiling above them. The big AC vent by the door was moldy and covered with dirt. There was a piece of chicken under a chair in the sitting room. Moldy spots on the ceilings including a large stain down the wall all around the kitchen window. One TV had something splattered all over about a third of the screen. The walls all around light switches were filthy. We had small children with us and didnt feel comfortable and safe having them there. Pool was green and closed.

The staff was horrible, I had to be switch to 3 rooms before I got a room that was clean and toilet work. Had to be let in room by front desk staff cause no card would read to open door it was 2am and was to tired to look for another hotel. Prepaid but was charged again full total instead for accidentals hold.

After checking in, the room we were given appeared to have just gone through upgrades. Unfortunatley there was still carpet remnants still left over from where there was wood floor replacements. There was also screws and old screw anchors left on nightstands. There were what appeared to be cigarette burns on the nightstand in a non-smoking room. The beds and underside of beds were extremely dirty. There was what appeared to be a blood like substance on the inside of the nightstand as well as on the curtains. The glass door dividers were missing from one closet and not even attached and leaning on the other closet. The one dresser had drawers that did not even close. The only bright spot that I could say is that the staff working the front desk was extremely helpful in addressing these issues and got my money back right away. Staff = 5*, the rest of the facility a 1*.

We love stopping at the Sonesta ES suites! They are incredibly convenient, just off the highway and surrounded by restaurants/etc. Rooms are spacious and while they may not be extremely updated or luxurious, they are extremely comfortable and bright and clean.

No room key. Staff not always available to let you in. If you’re not going to have room keys you must have a runner at all times to allow guests to enter their rooms. Heavy smoke smell at door like cleaning staff smoking outside rooms.

The electronic door locks to enter the hotel rooms have been broken for three weeks. And that wasn’t disclosed before booking. You have to get an employee to open the door for you every time you want to enter your room. That takes a long time of waiting & is uncomfortable for a woman traveling solo, especially at night. The bathroom was dirty & needs a deep cleaning including of the wall behind the bathroom door. Staff was very nice but can’t make up for a deteriorating property.

The bathtub was filthy and moldy, several water stains on the ceiling, the carpet was dirty, and there was a broken light fixture laying on the bathroom sink. More importantly, they could not provide room keys to us or any other guests, the key card programmer was broken and had been inoperative for 2-weeks. The service clerk had to walk you to your room and unlock your door with the master key everytime you wanted in your room.

It was hard to leave my room and come and go as I please due to the fact that I didn’t have key access to my room because of the key system being down. I had to stop at front desk to get access to room each time by staff.However, Room was nice, establishment was clean, check in process was ok.

Property was pretty clean and decent. Room was fine. Their key card system was not working so had to be let in my staff every time we left. Staff was all pretty great. However, after about 4 days they gave my husband a hard time about being let in because his name wasnt on the reservation (which understandable so we added it) but then had to wait over 30 minutes to be let in in about 100 ° weather with my two kids. Not fun for any of us! We had groceries that needed to be replaced because of the wait. Overall - pretty decent but the no key was A PAIN! (But thats not on the staff - thats on the property)

There were no keys available. Front desk was super nice and had to walk across property to let me in room. No TV remote. Lights not working. It was only 1 night so I did not make a big deal out of it.

Our room was clean and spacious. We had to wait over 20 minutes in line to check in as there was only one clerk at the counter on a Saturday afternoon. That seems ridiculous to me. We were told that they were updating the key system so the keys didn't work. We waited an additional 10-15 minutes to have her let us into the room. Any time we wanted to leave and return, she had to open the door. We only left once and had one person stay behind to make sure we could get back in the room to keep us from having to wait again. Outside hall lights were not on at night which was a huge safety concern. Couple that with waiting to get into your room and you have a serious security issue! Thank God it was only one night. We wont stay again!
