The staff were so nice and helpful. The hotel is in need of some serious remodeling/updating. The breakfast staff made do with what they had. The lady was very helpful and apologetic about the equipment not working properly.

This was horrible. Dorty, bed bugs, stains and hotels.com did absolutely nothing to help secure a new room. Apparently, bed bugs is not a relocating issue. I'll never use hotel.com again. Thanks for ruining our trip. Appreciate the servics and taking my money.

Let's get into it.
As someone who travels extensively, I stay at many hotel chains across the country. I prepaid and checked into my room.
As I headed to my room, the smell of mold was noticeable. Once I opened up my room I was greeted by a roach on the wall. The paint job in my room was unprofessional and the toilet was angled away from the shower on a 45-degree angle. No one could sit there comfortably if they tried. It also had water stains rings in the bowl. Unacceptable.
To their credit, the front desk tried to make it right by upgrading me to a 2-room suite. After I gathered my things and arrived on the floor of the new room, the smell of mold was more acute than before. I get to my room and thankfully no roaches.
The next morning I arose early and headed to the lobby for breakfast. I was too early. They had some prepackaged muffins in the area. I opened up a chocolate muffin and it had white specks of mold on it. Again, unacceptable.
The attached restaurant The Hang Out" was under construction or closed with trash and ladders left in the entranceway.
Comfort Inn - Pocono Mountains, people pay money to get a good, clean, and comfortable place to stay. They also expect a pest-free environment free of expired, moldy food.

While we were there we experienced as musty mold smell it was in the bathroom shower area and I had trouble breathing and even walking down the hallway bothered me! There is a big crack on the wall in hallway!
Also we didn't get room service everyday for towels and toilet paper. Had to remind them twice in an hour period of time. Plus we where there for three nights and there was a lot of noise with people slamming doors to their rooms as they were smokers going in and out to much and didn't want to use their door key card instead they just put the bar across the door and then let it slam shut against it as they went outside and down the hall one to many times!
Also the toilet was way too small ! More like child size toilet and all they could say was well we are doing some changes to the toilets but not all rooms are done yet.
So I'll never stay there again !

Its a low price stay and our stay was fine. Could use a little more cleaning, a little more repairs, a new shower curtain. Bed was comfortable are pillows were awesome. Door didnt lock one morning but they fixed it. Our stay was as expected, would stay here again if on a budget

Staying at comfort inn was suprising to say the least. Ive never stayed at an establishment this dirty, non maintained before.
Staff was incredibly rude and did not provide any assistance as well. Take my advice: pay and extra $30 or drive 15 more mins to stay at a better place

When viewing the reviews on this property prior to my stay I couldn't understand why there were both 5 star ratings and 1 star ratings given by prior guests. I can't ever imagine how some people concluded this was a 5 star property (it is run down appearing, staff likely making minimum wage do not go out of their way in any capacity), but it is certainty better than a rating of 1. This hotel was approximately half the cost of others in the area, so best put I would say that you should expect to get what you pay for. There are stains on ceiling tiles and carpets, but it does look like they make an effort to keep the guest rooms clean and provide basis amenities. We saw no sign of insects, water pressure was good, and in our case it met the criteria we were looking for - pet friendly, has an indoor pool, and the location. Would not be my first choice to stay here again, but it met our needs.

We found many bed bugs filled with blood, after all it was very incovenient and unsafe for my family.

Tv and toilet didn’t work in first room. Moved to another room, that tv only got three stations. When asked for a rollaway mattress for the third person in our room the two front desk staff debated how that would happen and one of them said they have never set one up? Really? You can’t figure out a mattress? It was also never moved to our new room. Didn’t have enough towels and I couldn’t consistently get more. At one point I was told there wouldn’t be more until Monday, at which point none were delivered. How do you run out of towels? Staff seemed frustrated and unhappy in general.

There was a roach in the hotel, the hallway carpet was dirty and smelled. We were in a room that had a connecting door and the people next to us you can hear everything so unable to sleep. Can hear running above us. Bathroom has mildew

The property was not well kept. No fresh towels available in our 4 day stay, no room service. The breakfast did not have options. Even cereal or bread was not in stock all the time for breakfast!
The advertised game room was not even there!!! It was an empty room.

Check in staff did all they could to take care of the customer. The room however was super dirty. Bed was super directy with spots on it and floor was sticky. Management of this place needs to give a full clean up of the whole hotel .

Room was ok for our need; it seemed to need some repairs. Bed was comfortable, and towels were good quality, tho. Was very convenient to our travel plans, too.

The hardware in the hotel is really old. Doors are old and crack, difficult to close. Beds are old and a bit out of shape as well.
The staff are friendly and helpful on the other hand! I am happy with the service.

I like that the hotel had an indoor pool all though the water was really cold which i did not like. I also like the fact that the breakfast was included, however it was very inconvenience that my key card was disabled and i was unable to get into my room i had to walk all the way downstairs to the reception desk to get it to work again, the front desk guy that was there that day was nice but did not have a valid explanation for me. It was horrible and very frustrating to have to constantly walk up and down the stairs to get my key reactivated.
