My wife and I just spent our honeymoon here.
The property was absolutely gorgeous, the staff were very kind, courteous, and extremely helpful. The concierge even checked his own wallet when I asked if they could break a €50 and the till didn’t have the right change.
The lobby is beautiful, the stunning wide staircase with a lion statue and columns all the way up is breathtaking. Further inside there are painted ceilings, historic artwork, and tasteful furniture.
We had drinks brought up to the lemon terrace, filled with lemon trees and strawberry plants, we even saw adorable lizards. The views from the terrace of the Spanish steps and the San Carlo al Corso were fantastic.
Our room had two terraces facing Via Del Corso and sitting outside every night with a view of Saint Peter’s Basilica was one of the highlights of every day. The canvas awning over our terrace had a rip in so we didn’t use it, one of the rungs on our curtains was also broken off. Other than that there was nothing wrong with the room at all.
It was very hot while we were there in July with temperatures regularly approaching 40 degrees, the ac struggled a bit to cool the room, but we found if we left the doors closed to the sleeping area itself it wasn’t too bad.
Just two blocks away you can find dozens of restaurants, a convenience store, pharmacy, and a grocery store not far away either. Close to most main tourist spots.
We would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a central luxury stay.

This Hotel is amazing. Staff very friendly. In the middle of it all. We walked everywhere. So many restaurants and bars to choose from. Highly recommend thia gem among so many places.
Deluxe rooms are spacious but I recommend an executive suite. 2 large rooms with amazing balcony views and a spacious livingroom to relax in.

A wonderful Roman hotel in the heart of the shopping district. We were walking distance from everything. I literally went out side to walk around 5am and felt super safe. A lot of cute shops/cafes around the area.

First room the gave us had no shower, 2nd room no coffee maker or snacks in mini bar and the shower was broken it would wet the entire bathroom. They tried fixing it but, did not. Roof top bar closed and in disrepair. Repair personnel working throughout the property. The hotel is beautiful but, needs major upgrades throughout.

Excellent staff and accommodations
3.0
This hotel has an excellent location. Most all attractions are in walking distance. The hotel itself is very old 19th century edifice. First room we got was supposed to be an upgrade but bathroom flooded after shower. We were moved to a smaller room. Most electrical outlets did not work. At $700+ a night I expect better accommodations. No working restaurant in the hotel. Breakfast was routine continental stuff. Asked for omelette and was told it would cost extra. Staff was very friendly and eager to help. Room service only till noon. We had early flight on checking out day and couldn’t get breakfast, asked for credit but declined stating since we didn’t book directly no credit. The hotel has beautiful interior areas but not worth the price.

First, the hotel is beautiful, the staff were very helpful, and the bed was wonderful. That’s the end of the good stuff.
The room needed MUCH more light. Electric outlets were all near floor, and we had to get on hands and knees with flashlight to charge phones and plug in electric kettle. Huge room but no comfortable seating at all.
Breakfast very disappointing. Set up to look great, but it was a mirage. Bacon was distinctly old and bad-tasting.
I submit this with regret.

It was good , clean room, great location.Wonderful drivers for pick at airport and dropofff.
The cleaning staff had no slippers( usually they do) no hard soap only liquid.
We are regulars of this hotel for years. No early check in was available. We arrived at 11:00am and waited till almost 4:00pm after 10hr flight. Again no early check in when we stayed 2nights before returning home.

We were very pleased to end up at this hotel when our originally booked hotel was over booked.
The staff took great care of us and we got a junior suite which was beautiful and very nice AC in the hot weather. Large king size bed and both a bathtub and a shower.
We also had a balcony. We never really sat out there because of the hot weather, but it was nice.
But overall a fantastic historical hotel in the centre of shopping near the spanish steps. I would love to come back!

Easy check in and check out. The staff was very helpful as well

The Grand Plaza Hotel been around for many years. Its dark but lots of arts and marble. We reserve a Delx room. The bathroom was remodeled but didn't have a shower only bath tub. The cabinets & furniture are very old. The beds are very cheap and extremely uncomfortable. Its like sleeping on springs. The mattress was very cheap, and the springs was very hard. The front desk service are extremely helpful and willing to assist.

While this hotel definitely needs a major facelift, it’s full of charm. The staff is very attentive and they breakfast is lavish set in a sumptuous environment. The best part is undoubtedly the terraces overlooking Roman rooftops. The rooftop bar is opening on June 15!
6.0
The hotel is in a -fantastic- location, and the staff is very kind and respectful. But the hotel has seen better days and while the grand marble staircase is amazing, chipped paint in the rooms, a lack of outlets and electrical adapters made this more of a three-star hotel versus higher. Also, the room I booked showed a bathtub, but when I checked in, was told none were available - so a bait and switch. The fitness room was nice, but, for example, none of the lights worked . . . the place just needs a thorough renovation, because the location is amazing and the staff marvelous.

Hotel was dirty and with trash in the floors. Room wasn’t serviced from previous guest… called front desk and they hung up on me… left the hotel with no response from anyone. They did not care at all

Great location… beautiful room …. No bar to speak of ( only negative)

I've stayed here in the past, but was very disappointed this time. The hotel is in dire need of renovation. The beds are uncomfortable and metal springs squeak when you move. The shower in the bathroom is a joke. The breakfast used to be excellent and now is just a basket of bread. It seems all the staff is inexperienced. I couldn't change $200 for Euros as the don't have change? The hotel is not worth the money they charge for rooms.

The hotel itself was beautiful, given its history and interior design. The location was central and perfect when traveling with teens.
We had booked two rooms and upon checking in were upgraded to spectacular family suites.
Nasir at the front desk was exceptional in his customer service his friendly suggestions for dinner reservations, shopping and most recommendations for the local area.

Problems with this hotel:
1) Water initially came out brown in the bath in both rooms we had
2) TVs in both rooms did not work
3) Phones in both rooms did not work
4) Light bulbs in various light fixtures we missing or out indicating a lack of maintenance
5) There was a sign in the lobby indicating a reception/happy hour on the roof terrace complete with signs. We went there, NO ONE not even hotel staff was there.
There was virtually no one around except for a handful of people overall in this hotel. For breakfast, we were almost always dining alone. This hotel seems like it is on its way out of business. For its high cost, we expected much more.
2.0
The property was once a beautiful hotel, and now it is a run down, dirty, unpleasant place to stay.
This hotel should be closed for renovation as it is not appropriate to accept guests.
We came on their first day being open after the hotel was closed for 2 years.
Hotel was NOT cleaned.
Hotel had NO staff.
The only thing was clean bedsheets and towels (everything else was dusty or falling apart).
When we arrived, at first they didnt let us in and after they kept us in the lobby as they were renting the hotel for a movie so we weren't able to go to our room.
Restaurants in the hotel were closed (even though the hotel shows it is open in their offer).
Lobby had the furniture stacked in one corner as it is being under construction.
Phone was disconnected and we couldn't reach the front desk for most of the stay.
Room: tub clogged. Floors dirty, curtains never cleaned, door handle fell off when I touched it, furniture random.
The receptionist was a porter and a room service!!!
Breakfast was stale and from the supermarket.
Terrible experience. Terrible place, Terrible service.
We wanted to cancel our stay the first hour we came but they didn't want to refund the money ($1,000/ night).

Room was not what paid for Or as listed. Very small. Not as described at all. Headboards not attached bed frames are very cheap steal frame with springs. Bathroom was not as described. Overall not worth what was charged. They spend all the money they make to make lobby look fantastic and skimp on the rooms.

Read this! There’s a trick to making this hotel experience good! Ask to see your room and another. Some are old but clean yet a bit dark and rough. Some are updated and bright. The reception was very kind in giving us a choice. We took the bright one. Huge room for a hotel in Rome. The hotel is old and quirky! It is clean, just has character! The staff could not have been more kind during our 10 day stay. Room service lightening fast or very very slow. Hey, it’s Italy. The location is the best part of the hotel.
4.0
We loved the location of the property and staff was outstanding! We felt the rooms needed upkeep, as they were tired or run down. The plugs did not work , we had to unplug the lamps in order to use the outlets, there was no shower and the bathroom door would get stuck. When using the bathroom water would overflow out and had to put several towels to keep it controlled. The mattress of the bed was hard and worn down as well. Definitely not a 5 star hotel due to the room. The common areas of the property are beautiful. The rooms definitely need to be remodeled.

We arrived in early evening an was told we had to wait for our room ?? It turns out they gave us a room that had sewer problems smelled so bad had to move us to another room at midnight very disappointed should of upgraded us or offered credit we got nothing..
