We enjoyed our stay. Room was clean and beds were comfortable. We really enjoyed the hot tub after a long days drive. Loved the marina nearby and our view of the water. Only negative was the people sitting and standing at the front entrance smoking.

Great views and location. Enjoyed the proximity to the Lake and amenities without the "city" vibe of Duluth. Would definitely stay again.

I was here on business. It was quiet and comfortable. Allowed me to get the work done and relax after and even while doing it. There is a restaurant on the property and a bar. Outdoor seating is also available.

Overall a pretty good place to stay , staff were all very nice and helpful. Food and drink were good. Pool area was clean and stocked with towels and plenty of tables to sit at.
The rooms were pretty decent, but could use more places in the bathroom to hang towels or pretty much anything, along with some sort of a counter to put bathroom items on.
The bathroom being my only real complaint I would recommend this hotel.

Duluth and Superior and the hotel location are great, the room not so much. The sink didn’t drain and it was just really outdated for the cost. The pool and hot tub looked nice but we were too busy exploring the area to take time for that. Definitely way overpriced for how old the rooms are, however the beds were comfy!

The air conditioning in my room didn’t work properly; it was warm and humid the whole time even though it seemed to be giving off cool air?? The room smelled somewhat moldy as well. Definitely needs an upgrade!

But overall very comfortable stay.
Restaurant is good, but service was very slow because they were servicing wedding too.

Great setting; walking paths, beach access, etc. Property is a bit tired and in need of a little TLC, but we were quite comfortable here. Very quiet area.

Super dated and in need of updates. Rust on the bathroom lights and peeling wallpaper from the 80s. Quite dingy overall. The walkway by the pier was nice.

Beautiful area away from busyness. Near a walking path, beach area and scenic view. However, overall upkeep of property seemed to be declining and the facility beginning to appear "dated" and in need of a "sprucing up". Parking lot areas were overgrown and in need of attention. Trash was found strewn about the grounds. This is no doubt an "ideal" and "beautiful" site! Hopefully it will be spruced up, better maintained and not allowed further decline.

We spent the 4th of July here. Was an amazing experience and the city truly orchestrated the chaos so well!!!! Such a wonderful time

This hotel is right on the marina on Barker's Island with a walking trail out front and a very good restaurant on the property. We'll definitely be back!

It was okay. Mostly clean. Waitress in restaurant was great, but our food (hamburger and French dip sand) took 40 minutes, and we were the only ones there. The room fridge had no button to adjust it (it was missing) and when I told the front desk that it froze our food and pop and one can exploded, there was no offer to make it right. There were water leak stains on the ceiling in both bathroom and bedroom. Bathroom exhaust fan did not work.

Location to Duluth convenient. prices more in line then Duluth. Clean and well maintained. Pool and lounge fully stocked. Fast check in and out. Parking convenient.

Staff is friendly, but property is in shabby shape. Sink drain was broken, soap and shampoo containers were empty. Beds were in good shape, at least.

We love Barkers island. Have stayed there many times. Staff was great, room was nice, loved the bar in the hotel. Sat down to eat in the restaurant not realizing it was about to close. Server came to the table not 2 mins after we sat down and said, "do you know what you want cause they want you to order now" decided to go eat somewhere else, so i can't nt speak for the food in the restaurant. However, our bartender at the bar was amazing!

The room could use some major updating. The beds are older and not comfy. It had a huge minifridge but it was sitting on a table so kind of in the way. It had a table and 2 chairs which was nice. The room has some potential. Bathroom was standard. The pool was nice, its not too deep 3-5 feet, smaller hot tub. Everything was clean. We ate at the attached restaurant, food was good but the wait was long.

We were there for a wedding, very nice venue. Rooms are outdated, but bed was really comfortable. The reason for my four star, it might be time for some updating but other than that we had a nice stay.
