Lovely location for a friends meet up. Beds were comfortable and food delicious, especially to the breakfast. Great care was taken to ensure we were well looked off. Pool was very busy with children sadly. So we made use of the hot tub.

All very good but we should have been informed that prior booking in the restaurant was necessary. Even at booking in we were told that it was ‘walk up’ to the restaurant that was actually fully booked. Otherwise all was excellent.

Everything was great but I thought the black mould in the bathroom could have been cleaned off. I have stayed there twice now and there was black mould in both bathrooms

The Goodwood hotel was absolutely stunning! The staff were so kind and offered a genuine hospitality to everyone. The grounds are ginormous and you can get a map for 2 different walking trails. There is golfing on site. Our nephew was married at the Goodwood house and all I can say is WOW! You must see the inside, it will take your breath away! Overall, a 5 star stay in all ways!

There were instructions on how to use the shower which on the surface was extremely helpful but the sign was too near shower as needed my glasses to read it and was impossible to read without them suggested a relocation of the sign.

A uniquely British hotel with the added Spa and Golf course. The rooms were near perfect and the staff, especially reception made our stay excellent. Also a very good shuttle to and from the Goodwood racecourse. The only issue was getting a table at the restaurant in the evening as it does get booked up and being a bank holiday weekend none of the surrounding pubs had spaces. Eventually we booked a table at 9pm and were not disappointed. Enjoyed a full english the following day followed by a nice walk around the estate (not signposted). Thank you Goodwood.

We were somewhat less enthusiastic about Goodwood in August 2024 than the previous summer. Our room (the same one in which we stayed a year ago) was cold and the heating didn't seem effective. The (British grown) tea available in both the rooms and restaurants was completely insipid. The pool is still great, but the hot tub was only warm. The biggest problem was that the restaurant has moved to a new location with a self-consciously forced, early 20th century agricultural theme. The decor just looked old, dirty and tired in our opinion, including chipped enamel teapots and mugs. It isn't clear whom this move was designed for, but it did not appeal to us. Had we wanted shabby decor, we could undoubtedly have found it at cheaper hotels.

We would have liked to have given more stars, but on this weekend it seemed the hotel was under staffed. Rooms are apparently cleaned up until 4.00pm. We got back at 2.30 on the first day, our room hadn’t been cleaned and so it wasn’t that day. Also the bath wash was empty and the shower screen wasn’t well fitted, so there was a pool of water on the floor after each shower. On the second day we got back at 3.50pm to find the cleaner still in our room, which isn’t ideal. Why couldn’t rooms be cleaned earlier? It’s a 4 star hotel. On the second morning the staff apologised at breakfast as they had many more people than expected. They’d run out of menus, tables hadn’t been cleaned, food was not being replenished on the buffet and only one of two coffee machines was working, but that kept malfunctioning. We hadn’t been told that there was filter coffee as well?! The staff were helpful and charming, but we felt were really up against it. Disappointing.

Reception staff were helpful and kind I was a lone traveller so needed to feel comfortable There didn’t seem anywhere to work and get a drink but I managed suitably Dinner was gorgeous

Hotel was fine but a bit tired, often feeling like it was missing some TCL in the common areas such as the lounges, spa and reception. Breakfast was tasty but on several days felt like it wasn’t the slickest operation.

Lovely room, few small things like no non slip mat in bath which could be a problem for someone elderly. Bath didn’t drain well. However a fab room which was very well done.

We had a great weekend at the Goodwood Hotel. Room was very well presented, comfy and clean. Service was excellent, Breakfast was exceptional and we ate both at the Kennels and the Butchers and again very good. Unfortunately the grounds were closed as they were preparing for the festival of speed and there wasn't anything on their website to advise that prior to arriving. This was a bit of a shame as we had planned to do some of the walks advertised. However the Hotel did apologise and advised us of alternative walks in the area.

Fantastic hotel, we were upgraded as it was our wedding anniversary which was really lovely. The bar and restaurant staff were very attentive and knowledgeable. I would highly recommend this hotel.

The hotel is very nice and clean and staff friendly. The restaurant was over priced and very small portions. The atmosphere was weird with music playing outside the dining area when it should of been inside. Waiting time for dishes too long and stagf didnt clean tables. Very disappointing to be honest

Only a short overnight stay as visiting relatives in the area. Lovely Hotel Setting and breakfast very good. Staff all very attentive and helpful. Parking easy. Highly recommend. Not cheapest but worth it.

Customer service was poor from our arrival for dinner. Staff were not bothered and did not have skills to wait on tables. Only restaurant available was Butcher… and for the price of dinner, the service made it so that we didn’t visit again. As residents, I wanted to book a spa session, but reception staff at the spa did not book this and I never heard anything from them. I left feeling very ignored. The management have a job on their hands for the staff to understand the concept of customer service.

Great property, but looking a little “tired” in places. Some window frames need replacing, some carpets look dirty . Staff are very helpful but sometimes the IT infrastructure seems to let the customer down. Last point - the bedrooms need more power outlets to cope with all of the devices that people now want to recharge each day
