Tv didn’t work. Toilet consistently running.
3.7
Nice overall…. But hot tub was closed for work. The facility could use an exterior facelift & some additional instructions for newcomers.
Smoking is still allowed which was disappointing
3.7
Rooms were very dated. Was not. Happy about the additional parking fee.

beautiful room

We had a very enjoyable stay. We loved the very friendly and helpful staff as well as the hospitality we were provided. One issue we had though was the hot water took too long to come in most of the time. Our tv was also old, small, and had closed captioning that was too small making it very hard to read. I am hearing challenged and depend on the cc to enjoy watching.

Rooms are nice and that's it. Use a cane and even though not busy, put us at the very end of long hallway from elevator. Have to pay $20 day for self parking even when a hotel guest. Not enough budget friendly food. Cafe closes at 2:00 pm and only other food is terrible food court or extremely expensive restaurants. $30+ per day resort fee. Tried to charge us double for parking and had to walk back in to desk to get out of lot because gate wouldn't open. Very tight slots, very few table games open. Will not stay here again.
3.7
No hot water in shower, ineffective a/c, heat lamp in bath not working, smart as attitude of maintenance workers called to address issues.
3.7
It was a great room so the a great view! Will be back there!

i am surprised Harrah's did not charge for breathing the air in the casino. went to get a soda out of the vendor machine. no soda on 8,9,10,11,12,13,14 floors. it smelled like cigarettes and cologne
3.7
The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room exceeded our expectations

Despite the high ratings and price, this hotel was quite underwhelming. Starting from the driveway to the entrance (which circles around the back) to the room amenities, this hotel had a run-down feeling overall.
Self parking is $20 a night and valet parking is $25 a night. Going in and out of the parking lot is a hassle because the magnetic card does not work at times.
The shower had low water pressure. The toilet paper was cheap and bad quality. The TV was small and dark (could not adjust brightness). Room had no microwave.
The hotel was interior was too cold. Other guests complained that the pool was too cold.
Having said all this, I have not been to the other hotels/casinos in South Lake Tahoe. So cannot compare.

Needs major upgrades, the property looks old and dated
3.7
the room showed a lot of wear
there was a washcloth left under the sink of one of the bathrooms
checking in was really backed up
we checked out early and was charged an extra day for the resort and parking fees
35 minutes on the phone to resolve that

We have stayed at Harrahs a couple of times over the last decade and May return again. The location is terrific to walk around the state line area. I still like the place but at the very least the rooms need updating. Many of the fixtures are tarnished and much of the the furniture was chipped and scarred.
3.7
I guess we have to accept that everyone has a hand out. Xtra $$ for resort amenities if used or not. Supposedly for wifi which today a phone hotspot will suffice. Valet parking offered only to have valet stand by your car with his hand out. Why am I paying for Valet if you expect a tip also. For a non smoking location you can't walk through the casino without the overwhelming smoke smell.
3.7
No room service till after three days of stay and you have to call. Rooms are old and not very clean
3.7
Areas outside the property needs upkeep. The ac doesn't work well. The beds were not very comfortable.
3.7
Enjoyed our stay immensely.
3.7
Hotel was probably very nice in its day. The hotel needs renovation. It appears they are not spending money to keep it up. The pool was less than desirable and hot tub closed off. Carpeting in room had a huge wrinkle in the middle of the floor. Parking was $20/day and resort fee was higher than advertised. Never stay in. Harrahs again
3.7
I liked that there was two full bathrooms in the double room.
3.7
Great view of lake. We got an upgrade upon arrival, only $6. more. It was great, our room had 2 bathrooms.
3.7
Air/Fan did not work, but window opened slightly so that helped. Overall nice hotel
3.7
Faucet cold handle loose, bed shows dips, wallpaper at base of shower loose
3.7
The hotel is aging and could use some TLC. We had a large room with two bathrooms which was very nice and the bed was comfortable. The front desk staff was very unpleasant and unhelpful. Should I return to Tahoe I will probably stay elsewhere.
3.7
Overall a good place to stay at in the South Shore Lake Tahoe area.
3.7
The hotel is very old the carpets are old and the furniture. The non smoking room smelled horrible smokey and musty
Definitely not what we thought we had reserved.
3.7
The area and overall property were great. The rooms need some love. There was wallpaper pulling away in some spots and the cabinet that held the mini-fridge door was about to fall off.
3.7
I loved that our room had two bathrooms. The bed was perfect and so were the pillows. It was a great stay
3.7
The room is exceptionally large but cozy and very comfortable. The sofa is very long and was the most comfortable I have ever sit on in all hotels I’ve ever stayed in. Got two full bathrooms which was surprisingly great. The only thing that needs improvement was the TV which was too small and old. Overall experience was exceptionally good. Will choose to stay again.
3.7
My grandson enjoyed the arcade which was well maintained.
3.7
I would not recommend it
3.7
Loved Harrah's. Rooms are clean and staff is helpful!
3.7
Room was nice, could have a better TV package of channels.
3.7
Very dirty!
3.7
Bed was so uncomfortable we left the hotel. The front desk clerk was the rudest hospitality person I have ever dealt with. Even when he was told this booking was for our honeymoon. I think his name was Joseph but not 100% sure. We are currently trying to get reimbursed for this horrible experience. This hotel has always been very good in our past stays. It’s unfortunate it was so bad on such a special occasion.
3.7
We liked the location and check in and check out was easy. Our room was also nice and quiet. We didn't like that the bed was very hard and the bathtub was old and dilapidated and needed to be updated. Also the coffee maker didn't work at all. Room #836.
3.7
The rooms need a refresh. It’s not the property it used to be.
3.7
I’ve been a regular visitor to Lake Tahoe and the Stateline hotels since their heydays back in the 80’s. Harrah’s and Caesars Tahoe were THE places to stay back then. But now the properties seem dated, the rooms have seen better days. At check-in I was offered a “suite” for $86/night extra, and when I checked out the charge was $98/night (before taxes!). That plus a $50/night “resort fee” just made it all worse. I’ll probably reconsider my accommodations next time I’m at Lake Tahoe.

Clean room . friendly staff.
3.7
The rooms were nice & spacious. We especially liked that in our king room that there were two bathrooms. One bathroom had a tub and shower combo where the other bathroom had a walk-in shower.
The property was clean and safe and was in walking distance to shopping and restaurants. As for eating at Harrah’s it was a joke. Main coffee shop closed at 3:00pm and you had to make reservations for other restaurants. They did have a Fat Burger, Asian Food and pizza by the slice in their fast food area. We ate the Asian and it was fair. If you walked to the shopping area through the block they had many restaurants to choose from. We especially liked the Base Camp pizza restaurant, excellent pizza and great choice of beverages.
