Spent three nights here over my birthday and so we could see the Illuminations. This is a really lovely, traditional style hotel and we loved every minute of our stay. We had the Dinner, Bed and Breakfast deal and the meals were really good, with a nice choice of dishes. Overall great value for money and I'd reccommend this place highly.

A lovely old Blackpool seafront hotel but showing its age and the lack of investment in the property is obvious. Everything is a little tired. Decent breakfast but waiting half an hour for a pot of tea was disgraceful. Car park charges are a rip off

To get an early check in was £20, I thought thys was a bit expensive compared to the price of the room.

The hotel is obviously 'faded' in areas. Our room was very basic (and cheap) but very clean and the constant hot water/bath was very welcome after long walks along wonderful coastline. The refurbished rooms are lovely but obviously more costly. The evening dinner is superb. What makes this hotel so special - I visit every year - is the lovely staff. They are so friendly and helpful. Will be back.

We are not snobs but having stayed before we feel the number 10 bar has lost some of its charm and character due to the young bar staff
We arrived late at night (11pm) and after checking in we went for a drink to find 3 young people working in the bar
The two males were very childish just messing around like 5 year olds with one coming back into the bar and kicking a chair back to the table rather than placing it back which even made the young lady behind the bar look amazed
We had upgraded to a sea view room which was on level 4 and had what I can only describe as a window the size of a port hole which you had to stand up to see through
For me this was over priced and should be classed as a restricted sea view and reflected in the price
We asked to be moved as we know other rooms have normal windows but none were available so decided to upgrade again to a superior sea view room as we were very disappointed with the restricted view which also had roof beams I would have knocked my head on
We will go back because the other staff and food were very good but the bar staff need training and need to understand that the hotel has charm and character which should be reflected in the way that they act

We had a few problems with rooms, one was above a noisy function room and so were moved into a much smaller room, too small for 2 people. So moved again, however management were excellent at dealing with our issues. Rooms were full of character which is what i liked, windows though were single glass sash type old fashioned windows but even though the room heating was off the rooms were still warm enough. Breakfast was good. Also plenty of parking although have to pay extra for I think its worth it to park at the hotel compared to some other hotels where cars are blocked in by other guests.

Great location and a very spacious room, which was clean and well equipped. Perhaps in need of a little modernisation but was very comfortable. Great bed and shower. Check in took a little while but was friendly. Breakfast buffet was very good with a good selection of food. Very busy on Sunday morning but quiet on Monday morning. The hostess Janet was excellent and remained calm during the rush, despite the queue of guests waiting for a table. Would definitely return.

Great Location, Bus stops and tram stops outside the hotel. Great selection for breakfast ( and its all you can eat buffet)., Breakfast includes.... Fried eggs, Scrambled eggs, bacon, sausages, hash browns, tomatoes (not tinned), beans and mushrooms. Also toast, fresh fruit, yoghurt, and a selection of fruit juices as well as freshly made pastries and various cereals, Not forgetting Tea & Coffee..

Great value for money in a great location on the seafront. Good breakfast included.

Beautiful old building, well kept with stunning features. Staff were all extremely friendly and helpful. Room was comfortable with everything you need. Food......was amazing we had the 3 course 'posh' menu and it was gorgeous and the breakfast was outstanding.

Only a one-night visit but nice hotel. Staff service was excellent throughout and very good breakfast in the morning. Would certainly return on a future visit to Blackpool.

In its day it would have been the place to go, it’s now showing its age, a little tatty in places, but it’s ok, rooms are comfortable enough, breakfast very good, enough parking, check in a bit slow. Overall 7 out of 10

The check in process was the longest I've ever had in my life. Only one person was on check in at peak time on a Friday night and he was extremely slow.
The room was big, warm and had a very hot shower.
Reception in the morning were helpful in extending the parking for 24 hours for free, thank you!

Our stay was so relaxed and chilled out.
The staff was warm and friendly and nothing was too much trouble.
The room was very spacious ans well equipped.
The bed was so comfortable and I have not had a good nights sleep like that for a long time.

Excellent breakfast. Shower needs updating struggled switching off not powerful so water kept running hot and cold. Had 3 hairdryer which 2 of them didn't work, third hairdryer was blowing cold. But apart from all that staff was excellent.

Staff polite and professional, me and my best friend come every year, really lovely hotel

The hotel was beautiful, decorated to match its lovely regal 1800's build and all of the furnishings were well cared for and clean.
Upon arrival, parking was difficult due to spaces being so tightly packed in and the £10 per night to park there was a bit of a naughty, previously undisclosed addition to the price.
Our room was lovely, well spaced out, clean and jad everything it needed, but the view was awful. Granted we had one of the cheaper standard rooms, but I thought £200 for 2 nights would have got us a bit of a better view than the side of a roof, so be careful if you are in an odd numbered level 1 room, it will not be a sea view or picturesque courtyard. (Cant upload picture as website isnt letting me upload)
Breakfast was nice enough for the price of £12 with plenty of choice.
My only other quibble was the misleading information about NHS discount. They bragged a 20% discount on the healthservice discounts website, but when i brought this up, the server had not heard of it, upon speaking to a manager they confirmed that they stopped nhs discount after Covid rules relaxed, but hadnt cancelled it on the website! They should have honoured the discount as it was their error, and i gave up my discount at the local premier inn to support an independent business.

Nice hotel but the room we had was in need of of refurbishment, i would grade the hotel a 3 star.
The food at breakfest was of low quality which I would put on a par with Wetherspoons

There was quite a lengthy queue to check- in which was a little uncomfortable but the room/bathroom were a good size. We enjoyed breakfast although the sausages could be of better quality. We were particularly interested in the Churchill Room which sadly appeared to be being used for a function. Our short tour of the Turkish Baths were incredible and sleep quality (quiet room) helped provide a really good relaxing trip overall . Thank you.

Overall a good stay. Food was excellent. Rooms were clean but tired. Old furniture and decor around the hotel. Hotel perfectly situated for a short walk into central Blackpool.

Called hotel before we book was told to book a double with a cote bed as the rooms are big we was told when we got there the room was small and with the cot in there there was no room so went back to reception to up grade to a family only to be told no family rooms available

Takes an awful longtime to check in,very noisy floorboards from coming out of the lift to your room and beyond.

Good comfy bed and excellent breakfast what more do you need ?
2.0
The room was very cramped and dated. The bed was rock hard. There were stains on the towels and pillow case. Wall heater was extremely closely to the bed and couldn’t be turned off. Breakfast was tasty although we were given a dirty tea cup at first.

Last minute booking but the reception was deserted when I got there. After a few minutes, someone came out to check me in.
Quick easy check in, and was handed an alarm pad in case a fire alarm evacuation happen during my visit. Blue light flashing every minute was very annoying though, suppose it's better than suffocating with the smoke inhalation.
Breakfast
I was seated very quickly, and there was a big selection of hot and cold food, cereals, pastries, fry ups etc. Toast does get slightly burnt though, as the toaster has only two settings, burn on top and barely touched on the bottom. Ah well.

The Imperial is such a lovely building but unfortunately over time, the building is becoming tired. My window in the bedroom wasnfully closed but yet I could still hear what was going on outside a.d even after being told that i wont be near the delivery bay. I could still here trolleys being wheeled around on the concrete outside. On the Tuesday, the fire alarm went off twice. I was woken up by a chamber maid who came into my room and I had only been in their one day. Not ny best stay at the Imperial.

This hotel is a beautiful building in disrepair, our first room was so dirty, polite manager agreed and moved us, this room had a broken window which we couldn’t shut!
Room service barely made bed, didn’t hoover in four nights etc. very dated.
The breakfast buffet was great and all staff friendly and doing their best.

Loved the hotel but didnt like to pay gor parking or extras

Lovely grand hotel in a quiet location. Conveniently located for visiting the attractions of blackpool, being just a short walk to the North Pier.
We wanted a quick bar meal as we had arrived late, but the bar area is small and there was a musician on, so all the tables were taken. Instead we had to find somewhere to eat in town. For a very large hotel, the bar area appeared to be extremely small.

A second trip back to this hotel with my young child. Both love it . Friendly staff, lovely food and very clean rooms. Needs a wee upgrade but perfect for what you pay for.
6.0
The hotel is tired and is in desperate for a facelift, amazing building the size and style is classic but the actual facilities in particular the bathroom(s) require some investment. Staff were professional, the breakfast was top drawer.

The family booked 3 rooms with 3 children and 4 adults in the wonderful Imperial. Every time we have stayed it’s been so clean and so relaxing .We highly recommend this historic and important hotel to all age groups.

stayed for a few days in this amazing beautiful hotel, full of character and grandeur
loved our room, wonderful sea view
breakfast was good staff very helpful and professional
4.0
Lovely majestic looking hotel from the outside, but could do with some tlc on the inside. Our bedroom window wouldn't close, and the bathroom window was painted shut! Stair carpets were loose in places.
Reception staff were lovely, restaurant staff were a tad unorganised, it was all a bit manic at breakfast time. The food was really good though with plenty of choice. Would stay again.
