Our stay was amazing. It started with check-in; Hunter was amazing at the front desk. Then the pool and hot tub was so nice, the restaurant for breakfast was wonderful, and the room was perfect. What a relaxing and peaceful stay up in the beautiful surroundings of Skamania Lodge and the gorge.

Our stay was wonderful, would not recommend the restaurant, wait staff was friendly. Our food seemed to take a long time as others seated after us received their food before us (and yes I’m considering what they ordered) we had room temp garlic fries and a burger was nothing special. Over priced for what you received

The price was outstanding, such a great deal! The bed was really comfortable as far as the firmness; however it is memory foam which makes you really really hot after an hour. I ended up not sleeping at all because of this. A cooling mattress cover would fix this problem without compromising your standards. Overall our stay was wonderful, just without much sleep.

I come here often to write, have meals, relax, and explore. I’ve been coming here for several years. I chose to do a few days getaway. The staff is always friendly and accommodating, and the place itself is always lovely. Amazing views There were a couple of hiccups in the room itself, the phone did not work, and two of the side lamps did not work also. Also, on there room service ordering, the number provided was no longer working on the printed materials, but they did give me an updated phone number. Two things about the food: the food is just OK, nothing to write home about. Confused about how they Are in award-winning dining experience. As an example, for breakfast, I ordered my eggs over medium because I do not like soft runny whites, and had to send back twice, as they still did not get it right. For one of my dinners I ordered a Caesar salad, and basically was given a whole head of lettuce Sprinkled with some Parmesan cheese, not torn up or even halved like a wedge salad. Very lackluster. Looks like some thing I get from Trader Joe’s to take home. I had to run downstairs to the convenience store for a couple things, and was kicked out because I was barefoot. This is strange because shoes track in more junk than bare feet that have just come off of a carpet, and… They let pets in there with no problem, some of who have just peed or gone to the bathroom outside, wipe their feet and then track all of that inside. So I wasn’t able to purchase anything.

My wife and I celebrated our 50th wedding anniversary this past weekend. Thank you so much for providing the perfect location for us to relax and enjoy each other. Side Note: I took my wedding ring off and laid it on the bathroom counter, then forgot to put it back on. Thank you to Lori in Housekeeping who called me and let me know it was found. We were too far to come back, so she is mailing it to me complementary. Thank you! Additional Side Note: My wife was not happy that I didn't even miss the ring until I got the phone call. I told her after 50 years I had worn it enough! She was not amused. Looking forward to our next visit! We may bring our Grandkids and do some Glamping!

Staff are extremely friendly (except 1 woman in the gift shop). Jacob is very, very pleasant & helpful (bellman). The Pro in the golf shop was super nice as well & the golf course so fun to play. We did experience some problems with the plumbing in our room which was a day’s inconvenience but the front desk would not compensate for that…the wine menus are beat up & tired looking & seats in dining areas not comfortable- but the server assured us that “restaurant chairs are supposed to be uncomfortable” …??? Cocktails are good but very light & scant in size for full price drinks. Can definitely use some updating… but in general a nice place.

We really appreciate for Hunter when we checked in. He was very personal and friendly to comfort our stay. The server Sheena at the restaurant was great and friendly, thank you. Although, the menus and foods have rooms to improve. Overall we enjoyed staying there.

We couldn't find a hotel in Hood River and then we stumbled across this hidden gem in the woods. Best find ever. The lodge was very nice, staff was friendly and helpful, fiod was good. The pillows were the best ever. Definitely would recommend and plan on coming again. Next time want to stay in one of the tree houses.

My family of 6 stayed at Skamania Lodge for 2 nights. We traveled from California.I had high expectations because of the price. All the staff I've encountered were very nice and helpful. I think people from Oregon are genuinely nice and friendly. The lobby was beautiful and checking in was quick. April from the front desk gave us tips on places to visit. The hallways were dark because of the lighting ,i guess it adds to the rustic feeling of the lodge. It is carpeted throughout so there is the old dingy musty smell. We stayed in a riverview room on the 1st floor and the view of the gorge and mountains are beautiful. The room was small, dark,carpeted. No microwave. No vents in the bathroom. My kids enjoyed the golf and hiking trails looking for Sasquatch footprints. We didn't get to try the restaurants on site but I wished they offered free breakfast because there weren't a lot of dining choices near the lodge. I had high hopes for this place, it's nice to experience once but that is it.

I am not used to this type of pampering from a hotel. Service was professional from curb side service to checking in through checking out. Wished I would have stayed longer to get a massage and facial. We walked the trails around the hotel, very well kept and accessible. My grandson did the healthy activity stations. We used the pool and hot tubs. All incredible and clean.

The room was musty smelling and muggy, the bed was uncomfortable and my husband couldn't fall asleep because he could hear snoring form the room next door and someone else's bathroom fan running. The restaurant food was lack luster at best (although my son did love his chicken strips). The restaurant service was abysmal; took 15 minutes for the waitstaff to visit our table and then erroneously said we couldn't buy smore's kits since they were reserved for Treehouse guests only (we discovered the next day they are sold at the gift shop). The hot tub was crowded. The view from the lobby was gorgeous and the only redeeming quality.
