This was definitely not worth $160 a night. The tv didn't work in either room. In one of our rooms on the first floor the window was left unlocked and slightly open. They only put 2 towels in a double queen room.

Hotel is quite old. Room had a musty smell. Lots of work to be done - paint in bathroom where towel bars and toilet paper holders replaced and general upkeep. Door chain didn’t work. Air conditioner could be updated - thankfully I had a fan - room was quite hot. For the amount of money we paid, I expected a bit more (almost $200 for a two queen room).

Could use some updates and decent blankets.

This hotel is run down and needs some serious maintenance! Our room smelled musty and damp! The shower had two holes in it the size of quarter or bigger and the one had masking tape over it. Our air conditioner didn’t work. The continental breakfast was a shame!

usually good choice for a hotel…but the room was old and noisy (didn’t realize train went right by) and the toilet and sink in the bathroom was very low.

This is not a recommended hotel at the price we had to pay, especially. The window screen was broken, the room was old and awkward, the hallways were filled with old and nasty box springs, and everything was rusty and smelled like smoke, despite it being a nonsmoking room and area. Additionally, my granddaughter and I got some hives from the pool area (we healed them up quickly, thank goodness). It was stifling and dirty feeling in the hotel, with cheap cellophane over dirty windows. We've stayed at extremely better places in Red Wing at a fraction of the price this night cost us. One thing I will say is that the people were nice who worked there and I look at this as more of a Wyndham problem because they are responsible for the property upkeep in the ways that were horrible, at least from my vantage point. So beware Wyndham and definitely beware Red Wing Super 8. A final note: use caution whenever a hotel does a shot of the pool over a room for their main photo and be aware of edited photos showing condition of the property. I had seen a few bad reviews but they came after my booking was done--too late for me but maybe not too late for you.

Place is junk and only stayed one of two nights and they charged me for both.

Room was dirty. Pool was cloudy. Cracked and crumbling drywall all over our room and bathroom. Cracked tile. They closed the pool for no reason. The mechanical room was so loud we could hear it below us. Air conditioning on the room worked sporadically. Left - a night early and found another hotel. Didn’t get our $back.

The room smelled extremely musty when I got there. I had to go buy an air freshener it was so bad. There was hair in the tub when I went to take a shower. The carpet felt damp and sticky. Not much for breakfast offerings unless you wanted to load up on Twinkies and Hostess cupcakes.

Little bit noisy where I was at construction workers not a bad place to stay though

Property in the middle of a construction zone second year in a row. I feel they are doing the best they can under the circumstances.

Worst stay we have had. We have stayed here in the past but not again. Over priced and dirty. I’d recommend booking elsewhere.

AC does not work. Bathroom very tiny. Carpet very old.

hard to find off of main street, had a quiet night which was good, layout of hotel was kinda wierd alot of old airconditioning and junk furniture in halls it was ok for one night would stay somewhere else for next time or extended nights

This is a handicapped room. It is very far away from the front desk. Breakfast is a mile away from the room. I had to stop and rest halfway there. The room was not very handicapped accessible. My rollator did not fit between the bed and the wall. The bathroom has a tub. How is a handicap person supposed to climb into a tub? It should have a walk in shower. The vertical bar in the tub was loose and I thought it would fall off the tub wall.

Room had so many bugs. Only one worker at the front desk. She didn’t know what she was doing. AC was not working in the hallways and in the lobby. Very run down.

Pool was not working. Carpet in room had gravel on the floor. Old dirty mattresses and defunct air conditioners stored in hallways. Exterior siding was stored in the hallways too. Sewer smell in hallways which also had holes in the wall revealing sewer piping. I have photo to prove the above. This place is a mess!

Located on the bike route in Red Wing and an easy walk to Perkins

5 old black stained box springs taking up parking spaces. Pool and hot tub were out of service without notice when making reservation.

It wasn't that clean , i don't think they ever washed the floors , I wore slippers there and they are filthy , the bedding was ripped and cig burns , ...no I would never stay there again......

Great staff. Rooms were good. Pool was advertised, but no pool was available.

The hotel was terrible. The main reason we chose this hotel was because it had a swimming pool and a hottub and they were broke down even though none of the websites reflected that and there was no sign or anything even on the door or up at the office. The first room we were in said non smoking, but wreaked of smoke and was had our kids throats hurting bad by morning (we couldn’t go switch as we got there at 2 in the morning) they moved us the next day and this room smelled better, but all the towels in the bathroom had already been used and were just hanging as they “forgot” to change them. The lady at the front desk knew we were upset after the rooms and the pool and then called us to offer a discount and we said that would be great, then she said her manager would be in the next morning and she was going to call them, but never did and then they said they didn’t have anything wrote down for that kind of offer!

Terrible experience and didn’t feel safe

When we checked in and were told the pool/hot tub were not working, and that was one of the reasons we reserved there, we were upgraded to a room with a whirlpool tub. Great customer service! Very appreciated!

pool and hot tub did not work as advertised has not worked for sometime looked like swamp water one of the reasons we went there was to enjoy the hot tub was our 15th anniversary very disappointing looked nothing like you advertised very unhappy

Pictures look very deceiving on the website. Ceiling is water stained all over the hallways. No air was on in the room leaving it smelling and feeling extremely stale. Beds are very worn with deep divots in the middle. Each person got one flat, pillow. 4 person room with 2 towels. Some weird goop with bloody tissue shoved in the door guard on the bathroom wall that hasn’t been cleaned up. The nightstand drawer is filled with mold. Came for a night to enjoy the pool and hot tub. No heat was on in the pool room, pool heater was broken and hot tub was the temp the pool should have been. No towels stocked in the pool room. Extremely disappointed since we gathered as a family with the adult children to have a night by the pool and to play games.

Terrible experience. Room was missing fire alarm. Window screen was torn. Door chain was missing. Just A mess
