The hotel location is perfect for someone who likes to be near the shore specially if you get the sea view room with balcony as I got. The staff are very polite and helpful. The rooms and furnitures are old style as seen in the pictures but they’re clean. The breakfast buffet is perfect.You can walk to shopping area, restaurants and to the seashore to get your tour boats. Overall got a very good vibe.

Our stay at this hotel was amazing! The staff was hard-working and was always there to answer our questions. If you’re looking for peace and quiet, this is the place. Spent a few days at the pool and enjoyed the bar and food there! I would definitely return on my next Sorrento trip…👍

The location and pool were nice. The room was clean but the bathroom was small and the shower was clogged. When you turned it on, dirt came up from the drain. Absolutely disgusting. We were told that housekeeping wouldn't be in until 9am the next day, so we couldn't take a shower after traveling all day. Overall an ok stay

The bathroom is a decent size but the shower is very small. I am a slim person and it was a tight fit with the door closed. Think small pie slice shaped basement shower. Location of hotel and rooftop terrace was amazing

The pool and continental breakfast is what sold me on this property. The kids loved it! The heated pool was nicely sized and there were always lounge chairs available. The beds were comfortable so we got a good night sleep. The windows were great at blocking out most of the noise from commuter cars and bikes. We did have a few of the sea. The room came with a small safe for vaulables and refrigerator. The refrigerator was mainly filled with hotel beverages for a cost and restocked daily. The staff was efficient at the main front desk, in the restaurant, and at the pool bar. The property could use some modern improvements in the condition of the room/ presentation. The bed covers look like they are from the 90’s and had a fool scent. The additional bedding comforter provided in the linen closet had multiple stains. The light switch plates were falling off the wall, and the shower head holder in the bathroom was broken. Hotel Villa Maria overall is a nice place to stay and within a few steps of downtown Sorrento. I would recommend this property.

The hotel was in a great location. 12 minute walk from the train station. Very close to the centre of the town. Plenty of bars and restaurants in the area. Supermarket around the corner. Staff were very competent and efficient.

Really great hotel in a fantastic location. Brilliant friendly service and high level of cleanliness, the pool and sun terrace facilities were also a nice addition with stunning views. Could be a little noisy in the evenings (doors/ people etc) fine for me as a solo traveller- maybe a room on a higher floor is better for those with families!

The location of the hotel is great as well at the pool area and bar. The buffet breakfast is ok with all the usual food types. The low rating relates to the cleaning staff leaving our room unlocked and with the door open after cleaning for approximately 8hrs while we were out sightseeing. Also we requested for our mini bar to be removed on check in and twice more over the next 2 days without a result, on the second last day they removed the contence and just left it in the room. There was also mould on the ceiling of our room.

We did not want the room cleaned first two days of our stay but asked for towels from the housekeeper. The second day I forgot to ask for a bathroom floor towel asked one of the housekeepers and she took it from the other housekeeper. I heard a loud yelling coming from the hallway. Few minutes later the hotel reception called me to say don’t take any towels from the cart. I said I didn’t take it the housekeeper gave it to me. Then I explained that we did not want our room cleaned just wanted the towels. Receptionist understood but left a bad taste in my mind because I believe the housekeeper racially profiled us.

Hotel was in a great location, close to the main street of shops, bars and restaurants. Ten minute walk to the train station to travel to Pompeii and Vesuvious. Rooms are dated, but adequate. The pool area was excellent, very clean with lots of longers and a good bar. Seven minute walk to the Ferry Terminal to travel to Capri ans surrounding islands.

I stayed in a quadruple room at the hotel. While the room was on the smaller size (compared to what I'm used to in the US), it was well furnished and clean. The floor and wall had beautiful hand painted tiles, and the beds were comfortable. The cleaning staff were excellent about working around our schedule and coming when we were out, while still maintaining daily clean towels and new toiletries. The food at the restaurants was very good and the wait staff and chefs take pride in their work. The front desk staff were always helpful and friendly. The pool was nice and well maintained. Additionally, the location is great. It is very walkable to the main shopping area but not in the center of it, which made it nice and quiet.

Clean enough, but cramped single room with shortage of hooks. Water not replenished daily. No kettle or beverages provided, but room service brought it up quickly on request. Limited dining menu, but all perfectly adequate. Room and bar service very good. Helpful staff everywhere.

Great hotel with pool and roof terrace with hot tub. Nice breakfast with plenty of choice for everyone. Lovely staff. Really good location by the shops and restaurants. 10 minute walk to the free public beach (albeit small, but plenty of room in early June)

We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The staff was friendly and very helpful. The prices are very reasonable and a great buffet breakfast is provided daily for free. It’s a real breakfast too, with lots of options and warm choices. The location is super, many wonderful restaurants within walking distance and loads of shopping. I would absolutely stay here again.

Great place to stay. Staff is very helpful and service was excellent. Breakfast was great and the drinks and food at the pool was my families favorite. The only thing we didn’t like was the size of the shower, it is small. And our wives didn’t like that you have to hold the power button down on the hair dryer to keep it working. Bring your own. But we will definitely stay there again the next time we are in Sorrento.

Shower big enough for average size adult to stand (barely) & not bend over. Bed basically 1950s couch. Some staff superb, others not. Asked for glass or bottle of water at check out in order to take a pill- told to walk upstairs and buy one from pool (€500 / night room). Asked for change at Desk for €20, told they don’t have change. This is a Motel 6, but in Sorrento

Property is dated but clean. Breakfast included is spectacular and professional. Pool staff also great. Only negatives are very thin walls (could hear the neighbor coughing at night) and towels are not supplied at the pool, which seems to common but is still annoying to have to “rent” towels.
