Good trip but the location is little off . It’s very far far the city , how ever the hotel provides shuttle every 2 hours .

We had a small hiccup during check-in regarding the quality of our room, but the staff went above and beyond to ensure we had a pleasant stay. Special thanks to Natalia for her excellent service. Overall, the team made our experience wonderful despite the initial issue. Highly recommended!

this was an awful place to stay at. They played loud music from 10 in the morning till 2:30 AM Supposedly for a wedding event and refused to turn it down in spite of us and other guests advising them, none of us could sleep and as a result of a completely sleepless day and night adding exhaustion to our travels, we wound up getting sick and required antibiotics and medical treatment for the next seven days to cure the problem. on top of that they insisted on charging us for the room. Certainly I have stayed in many five star hotels and this is not one of them and none of them, would allow this to go on to the discomfort of all of the other guests and in addition charge for the accommodations. we will protest these charges and I don’t recommend anyone go to this hotel. Finally the lake has become very dirty and it’s questionable it’s any longer considered as swimmable s the water is cloudy with a lot of debris, including what looks like unburned fuel on top of it making that aspect of the waterfront enjoyment impossible. Consequently, almost none of the guests went into the lake for a swim. Finally the food has become mediocre and very very expensive. Much more than many 5 star hotels This hotel at one time was fine but now it should not be considered a five star, but rather a two or three star and certainly not recommended

Hotel is in a bad location, not near anything. Facilities are old and dated. Pictures fail to sure a highway between top and bottom portion of hotel making any balcony views unattractive. Literally a parking lot is your view so not worth it. There was a wedding while we were there so we couldn’t use the pool. The service was standoffish and unpleasant staff.

Very disappointing stay. This hotel is so, so far from the 5 stars. Its an old, tired and in desperate need of refurbishing hotel. The service at the front desk is poor. Not rude, but just not friendly, not accommodating and uncaring. You will just get the cold polite indifference. The official hotel check-in is at 3PM and they will not give you the room a minute earlier. Must be the Swiss precision. Certainly not all rooms finish cleaning at the same time as the clock strikes 3 PM. Clean rooms become available as the people check out thru-out the morning and then get cleaned-up. BUT, no matter what, you will have to wait until 3 PM for your room. Even if you get there as the first guest at 10AM. The rules are the rules! They don't care! On the good side, the people at the 6th floor breakfast were very nice, helpful, service with a smile. Our room was large, but the furniture was old and quite beat-up. Curtains are dirty. We paid for the lake front view and our room on the 3rd floor was facing the lake. It was nice, but all lake facing rooms are also facing the main road, where the cars drive with hi speed all day and night and that creates noise in the room. Must say the shower in our room great strong water flow. Free Parking in the front of the hotel is nice, but in some cases they need to take the car keys from you. For us that turned into a very stressful situation,because they could't find our key for 20 mins, which cased us a lot of stress trying not to miss our flight

Fantastic views from our room, overlooking the lake, which was spacious and clean. Staff very helpful with all requests. Had a great gym and spa, with plenty of lovely eating places within Lugano (10 mins away) and just a mile down the road in Morcote. Would definitely return!

This hotel was very "White Lotus" in the best way. It is luxurious and immaculate. Our room had an amazing view of Lake Lugano that took my breath away. The staff was helpful and attentive; they arranged a shuttle to pick us up at the train station and also to bring us into town for a dinner reservation. We could have spent hours down by the lake and pool but also just watching the view from our balcony. The only downfall was the price of the food (40 chf for a club sandwich seemed a little much, even for swiss prices). We chose to eat at the hotel once and the food was decent. The breakfast buffet on the roof is perfect and delicious. Every detail of the hotel is thought out and it is a lovely property. I do wish that they had more eco friendly toiletries and would have liked a Nespresso machine or similar in the room rather than instant coffee. Overall we would stay here again without a doubt. An amazing property worth the drive from the main city.

Swiss Diamond Hotel located in Vico Morcote, provided exceptional services during my stay . I would give a rating of six stars because the staff goes above and beyond to ensure the satisfaction of their guests. The level of professionalism and kindness from all staff members goes beyond the average service seen at many top rated hotels. The staff genuinely cares for the guests and are not fixated on money. I was personally attended to by the hotel manager Adnan, who provided room service at no charge, after an episode of regurgitation the night before, which left me weak the following morning. Sabrina at the front desk and Armondo in food services, are two of the most amazing people I have ever met. In a world where good customer service has increasingly decreased, it is important to recognize, give credit and sustain good workers. Sabrina is very kind, patient and caring. Sabrina assisted in planning my excursions and went the extra Mile to ensure my safety and comfort while traveling. Armondo in food services always greets you with a warm smile and provides exceptional service on every level. Even though all staff members are kind and caring, the hotel would not be the same without Sabrina and Armondo. Service is prompt and the hotel is beautiful and very clean. I highly recommend this hotel and look forward to visiting again!!

The food and service at the Lago restaurant was fantastic as well. 5. Lugano itself was a nice small but very modern city. 6. You can’t really go wrong when you mix Italian & Swiss. Will definitely go back.

I waited a few days to review this, but in the end when Expedia nor the hotel did anything it’s time to talk. I booked 4 rooms for a vacation with parents, 2 siblings, and kids, parents tested positive to Covid upon arrival and I proved the tests to hotel and Expedia from a verified lab , we occupied only 2 rooms and ended up with one! Due to no connected rooms available connected or on the safe floor. however no one cared and I was charged over 2400 euros for 2 rooms out of 4 due to no show! Tried my best and receptionist Antonella promised to try her best with no promises and Expedia still said apologies hotel refused any kind of refund! As a family we took safety in this fake 5 star hotel and kept parents away for public safety and hotel and Expedia could care less!! First night I asked for insect repellent cause I had a bee and insects on every corner in the suite, plus room service after 10-11pm is only hand made dry meats and cheese! A 5 star should be 24/7 room service! Horrible experience, horrible hotel and management. Besides staff/employees being super nice and should work in a true 5 star hotel, this property shouldn’t even be a four star one! friendliest staff in a horrible hotel management and staff. I hope my word goes out to everyone. I hope hotel updates room, property, and location before posting photos, and I hope Expedia review more and more situations. After this summer I’m done with this website. Blaming on others is such an easy thing.

The staff were friendly and attentive, outdoor areas were very well managed and perfect for relaxing. Bed room was clean and the bed very comfortable. the only issue were the bathroom and this was the only area where the hotel let themselves down. We had a small baby so the bath tub was very important. The taps were not fixed in place and as such the water became tainted with the rust, dirt opened up by the silicon having been consumed. The maintenance came straight away to check and they arranged for it to be clean, but for the price we paid i would have expected this to have been checked before we checked in, also the sink on the right did not drain as it should, minor points but at 5* I expect these to be taken care of before we arrive,

We had to stay 22 nights because of an illness. We were treated as family. The staff is wonderful. The food is great. We are going back to the hotel not only because Lugano is beautiful but because we want to stay in this incredible hotel. Every employee was kind, generous, helpful. We could not think of going to Lugano and not stay in this hotel! We give a 5 star.

The staff didn't get in touch and didn't explain that w have to book a table in advance in the restaurant (if I didnt call them myself because of some special request, we could stay without any food during pandemic while we've got the last table and were the last guests at the restaurant). The same about spa - no one let us know that we had make a separate reservation (not before arrival, not during checkin) and as a result we could not do spa! But to charge 40Fr for a tiny dog - this was not forgotten (even though we didn't get even a plate for water for the dog!) Hotel/view/restaurant service & food, parking - was nice. But the service during pandemy was poor
