A great hotel in an excellent location 100 metres from the Duomo square. Lots of restaurants and bars nearby and very safe and quiet. Breakfast can be inside or out in the square and has all the choices you would need. Concierge for our bags and staff to recommend and book for you. Taxis drop off out front.

We have had a perfect vacation.The hotel is beautiful and classically stylish.The staff are genuinely warm and attentive.Having breakfast outside on the patio was something we looked forward to every morning. On the one occasion we had dinner at the hotel,it was wonderful.Ortigia is picture postcard beautiful with an abundance of excellent restaurants , architecture, history and enough fashion stores for any one who is interested.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at the Palazzo Artemide. Ortigia is a charming town with lively streets, many great restaurants, and cute stores. The hotel is in an incredible location right between the cathedral and one of the best shopping streets. Our room slept three people very comfortably and had a little terrace with a view of the cathedral on one side and the sea on the other! The staff, especially Roberto, were super helpful and thoughtful. The breakfast outside under the big umbrellas was perfect. This exceeded our expectations— we were so pleased! Thank you!

Even before we walked in the door, the staff had begun to demonstrate the superior level of their service. Parking even our tiny car was a challenge due to the narrow street, but two of the staff arrived almost simultaneously and got us parked with ease. Superior service continued with each member of the staff and management, making our stay easy and most enjoyable. A part of what made the service so exemplary was the positively delightful friendly demeanor of them all. A special nod to Ermina at the front desk, for making us feel as if she were welcoming us into her home. Luca at the front desk was extremely helpful and accommodating for our every need. Each day started in the most upbeat and uplifting way as we were greeted each morning by Luisa. She is the embodiment of a genuine warm soul. But the accommodations were wonderful as well, we enjoyed our room very much. I truly hated to leave.

perfectly situated hotel, polite and nice staff, but rooms lack of light and balconies could have been adapted to have a view (like put a little platform), breakfast was little disappointing with the lack of freshly orange local juice that you can find in any local bar for a few bucks … bacon was really dry, eggs overcooked, no pistachio croissant or granita… bar was with great proposal, but overpriced on the spritz, all the other drinks were justly priced and great

I loved everything about this property! Everything was perfect. The hotel is beautiful as are the rooms. The staff couldn't be more gracious. We truly enjoyed our stay and would happily stay again.

The hotel is perfectly clean with beautiful furnishings, flooring, et cetera. There is no lift which is a major negative. The location is perfect practically attached to the duomo and on the main square. The breakfast buffet was one of the smaller ones I've seen in Italy or Sicily. The staff was helpful and friendly enough perhaps a little bit aloof. My classic room had no view and I looked into a tiny unkept courtyard, although there was a banana tree out there. The AC fan had an annoying sound like there was a wind storm going on outside. So a clean beautiful building and rooms but I found it a little sterile and the negatives of no lift and light breakfast would cause me to choose a different place next time. As for the view, other rooms had balconies on the Piazza so that would be good, but my room felt too isolated and was at the top of 3 flights of stairs straight up, then you had to walk down a few additional stairs to reach the door. This is just my honest report of the plusses and minuses.

Staff went above and beyond. Parking - valet for 30 euros a day, which was a great price considering. Very hard to drive to hotel through tiny streets and Google Maps lead us astray. Staff packed us a breakfast for our early departure. Comfy room and bed.

Hotel Roma is very difficult to find, but it’s in a great location in the city. The only way to visit with a car is really to use their valet service which is 30 Euros per day. The rooms are small for the cost, but clean and comfortable. The staff is friendly, but slow to respond to requests (safe malfunctioned in room, bath towels were not left after cleaning). breakfast was excellent, but it’s difficult to get service for coffee (yes, multiple America cups) on the patio. The dinner menu is very limited, and unless you plan to order dinner, expect some push back for having a drink on the patio, regardless of the time. Dinner menu is quite limited, but there are so many other options that it’s not an issue.

Hotel Roma is a very comfortable hotel in the heart of Ortigia. It’s a perfect base for walking around the old town. Great breakfasts and a lovely outside patio. The staff are very helpful.
