From now on, I’ll skip hotels in Rome and stay at this lovely place in Frascati.

Hotel was about 30 minutes ride from Roma Termini, and was right by the train station. Cute little town outside of Rome, and full of good spots to eat if you don’t want to eat in Rome! Very friendly staff, and very clean rooms. Get the balcony! You won’t regret it.

Pretty dated place with an apathetic staff

I've stayed here previously, and this is always a good option when staying in Frascati.

Great value and close to town. 5 minuet walk to multiple restaurants. Limited Breakfast included in my room rate. Staff was helpful and spoke enough English!

very noicy aircondition. Perfect service and practical location in Frascati centre.

Everyone was so accommodating. We picked this hotel because it was across the street from the train station, but it was on the hill which required many steps on either side, not good if you have a lot of heavy luggage. We were trying to catch a pasta making class and they quickly checked us in. In the morning it was raining so heavily and the staff who served breakfast tried to call a friend to take us to the train station. Though no one was available on a Sunday, including taxis, we were so grateful that she tried. The breakfast was lovely, the room comfortable, and the balcony overlooking the city was large and impressive. Definitely would recommend the hotel if you don’t have a lot of luggage, the staff was incredibly nice!

What a great surprise! We were looking for a hotel in Rome for our stay in Italy and couldn’t find something we liked that would be in our budget. We came across this hotel and read in one of the reviews that it is half an hour by train from Rome. We decided to take it.
What a great choice! The hotel is just what we wanted; an authentic feel, a welcoming crew and beautiful view of Rome. The train ride (given no strike happening) is short and about 2 euros each way.
The town, Frascati, is a gem! Amazing restaurants and great vibe. If you stay there on the weekend, Saturday night is filled with people and music from the piazzas and restaurant.

Nice hotel. Best option if you want a quiet place. You can take a train for 2$ and will be in Rome Center in 30min.

The location was perfect for navigating the town and the proximity to vesuvius.

I stayed here for 8 nights while I volunteered at the World Equestrian Games in Pratoni. The room was spacious and cleaned, fresh sheets and towels (many!) daily. The balcony was huge and had an amazing view of the sunset and Rome in the distance as well as the castle on the hill. I love how you can walk the beautiful cobbled streets to so many amazing restaurants, gelato and other stores and hotels. Frascati is an amazing relaxed gem of a town. Perfect place for a quiet restful vacation where you can walk to everything. I easily took a taxi from FCO to the hotel through the Samarcanda app and the hotel arranged transportation back to the Airport for me at the end of my stay. The shower stall is a bit small for larger people, not sure if they are the same size in all rooms. sometimes it took a little while for the hot water in shower to reach me, most times, it was readily there. hair dryer and soap, shampoo and conditioner provided. small room fridge and fan, and has "splitters" for AC.

Hotel is nice and clean. The negative feedback would be the temperature of our room. No air conditioner, our room was 85F with the doors open. They said they don’t turn the air on until June 1

Value for money is very good! Rooms are big enough and I had a large terrace with view to Rome. I didn’t spend much time in the hotel other than sleeping.

Fabulous restaurant, simple Italian breakfast buffet, but wifi non functioning outside lobby

Hotel is in the old building but everything (a/c, sinks, electrical, etc.) works fine. There was big active reconstruction next to the hotel but from the room I didn't hear a sound. Hotel is located in a narrow street, fool of parked and moving cars and garbage containers but my room had private lanai (balcony twice the size of the room) with chairs and table, overlooking very nice hills, parks and Rome on the horizon. The hotel is only 5 minutes walk from the town center (cathedral or city hall). Breakfast was simpler than I expected but sufficient. The restaurant (with the same name as hotel and with one of entrances linked to the hotel) offers hotel guests special lunches and dinners at fixed price of 25 euros. The staff is very friendly but not always available, there are clear instructions how to reach them. Overall, I enjoyed my stay and had everything that I needed.

Besides being a good hotel the best part of the Cacciani Hotel is the restaurant. Quality of the food & wine, staff and overall ambience is excellent. Located in the centre of Frascati it's easy walking to shops, taxi stand and railway station.

I was accommodated in a business room on the second level for two nights. Room had a large terrace and a somewhat limited view of Frascati, on higher floor the view must be better. The airco was a bit noisy, so I did not use. Breakfast was a continental style, I liked it. Staff was kind and did their work excellently, everything was immaculate. I would definitely return.

The hotel is located next to the train station and very close to the city centre. The rooms are clean buit very basic. Beds are terrible. It looks the hotel had a good past but it remained in 70s.
Breakfast is the biggest disappointment. Poor selection and not fresh. At least the coffee is decent.

We found the hotel easily and were lucky enough to be able park directly in front. The staff were pleasant and efficient, the room was comfortable and well furnished. Bathroom was up to date and met all of our needs. We did not use the restaurant and left early, before breakfast. The town is pleasant and compact. We ate out and had an enjoyable experience tasting the local produce. Overall, we were very happy with our stay and would recommend the hotel to others.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Cacciano hotel. The location is great. You can walk all over the city of Frascati. Our dinner in the restaurant was one of the best we had. We had a rental car but the hotel only has two parking spaces. We managed to use that for most of the days but the weekend is very busy there and we had to go to public parking and pay. Our room had a wonderful view and the room was very nice. The daily cleaning needs some updating: forgot to leave glasses one day. They did not return dirty dishes to the restaurant for us. If you want hot water in your room you need to carry up the water heater and hunt for a ceramic cup. They mainly have plastic glasses.

This hotel was located near everything in Frascati and also had lovely balcony rooms and a terrace for eating. The breakfast was good and the rooms had everything needed. Our only stress was finding parking but there are many public spots in the surrounding area.
3.0 / 5.0
Room with balcony overlooking great vistas was clean and comfortable with pleasing color scheme. The shower is very small however. There are really no public areas to speak of. The restaurant on the ground floor is highly rated, but was closed or full during my stay. It is also not part of the public area of the hotel other than a portion of it being used as the breakfast area. The photos give the impression that you can relax on its large outdoor terrace which is not the case. Nor does it have a bar from which to have a drink. It is strictly a sit down restaurant with typical lunch and dinner hours. The location is great however just steps away from the main plaza, which contains a supermarket to buy picnic snacks for your room balcony. There is also a very good pizzeria just down the lane called Casa Gusto. More of a two star than three star hotel, but would stay there again.

Hotel provides comfortable rooms, reasonably priced and close to the town centre with an attached top class restaurant. Hotel guests are offered a 10% discount in the restaurant. We ate in the restaurant. Waiters who understand the dishes and advise instead of the uninterested plate carriers. It was excellent. Hotel and restaurant have the charm and elegance of Italian hotels old style but is well maintained. It was a pleasure to stay.

All the essentials covered- comfortable bed, wifi, clean, good quality breakfast options, nice view and accommodating staff. We got in after 1:00 am after having missed a flight and they stayed up for us to arrive and check in.

I came here for a business conference. And this is a nice place because of its calamity, quietness and peacefulness. It is quite far from the city center so the train connection is a must. It could be a problem because there is only one train connecting here and Rome center. And the last train is about 8 - 9 pm. So one has to be quite accurate about the schedule.
I like the breakfast here. At first I assumed only some simple milk and bread. But they also serve some lovely cakes and a full plate of cheese and real ham. Sometimes they also serve delicious egg-pie (maybe quiche but I doubt if they call the same way). The coffee is really strong that supports me for the whole day even with some hours of jet-lag.
The room is comfortable with double bed. But after careful observation it should be regarded as double-single bed. So there is a slit between two beds. Sometimes it takes some efforts to tug myself out. But the bed is very comfortable with fluffy pillows. The shower is not so ideal. It is difficult to predict the water temperature. Sometimes it only takes some time to get hot water. But sometimes the whole shower is only lukewarm. So it could be a problem when the weather is cooler. And one also needs good strategy to locate a stable wifi spot inside the room.
The restaurant is highly recommended. This is the first time I try Italian cuisine with such exquisite taste. I enjoyed very much on the many layers of taste in the food. Though it can be quite crowded.

Restaurant at the hotel is fantastic! Very friendly town. Hotel is close to the train station.

We wanted to stay in Frascati while visiting our daughter who is working there, but also wanted to be able to visit Rome. The hotel is extremely conveniently situated just a few minutes walk from Frascati railway station. It gave us all the facilities we were looking for, including a triple suite so our daughter could stay with us on her day off. There are plenty of bars and restaurants within easy walking distance. The hotel itself has a restaurant with a very good reputation, but unfortunately it was closed on Sunday and Monday while we were staying.

This hotel is really lovely and provided a very authentic Italian experience. The room was small but had all the facilities one could ask for and a sunny terrace with a wonderful view of Frascati and the surrounding towns and hills. Breakfast was a simple affair and adequate. The staff were very friendly and discreet. The hotel is centrally located in town and close to all the shops, restaurants and cafes.
Perfect.

Beautiful room with private balcony and easy access walking to the train and downtown Frascati. The family the owns and runs the hotel were very welcoming and helpful. A great experience all around.
2.0 / 5.0
Frascati is a wonderful town on the outskirts of Rome, & Cacciani is wonderful hotel to stay in to make day trips to Rome (only 40 minutes by car on a Sunday). There is also a train station within walking distance of the hotel to take the train in to Rome. The furnishings in the room are reflective of Frascati itself ... it is a town where prior to 1910 their were five large villas .. so the wood furniture in the room is traditional in style and has been well cared for, the mattress in my room was comfortable, and the bathroom was likely updated in the last seven years with new fixtures and has been well maintained and is practical - it has a stand up shower, no bathtub. While staying at the hotel avail yourself to the wonderful restaurant with an incredible panoramic view of Rome in the distance. The restaurant is a not to be missed feature for a fine dining experience enjoying some recipes that were perfected in the early 1900's, through updated recipes that chefs have created in the last two or three decades.
1.5 / 5.0
The hotel furnishings are a bit outdated and the staff is not particularly helpful and not very keen to speak English. The best feature of this hotel is the excellent views over the Frascati, Rome and surroundings so insist on a room with terrace. If you are planning to visit Rome frequently, beware that trains run only hourly (every 2 hours on Sundays). Although I'm not particularly impressed with the hotel, given the high hotel prices in Italy and the quality of accomodation in Rome, I would recommend this hotel...
