Good location and decent value but our room was in dire need of maintenance. In our room we had three failed lights (including both balconies), a balcony door with a faulty lock, a toilet seat that was very wobbly, a bathroom door handle that felt like it was going to fall off every time it was used and a sofa bed mattress that should have been replaced a decade ago. The room was good at first glance but not what it should have been.

From the early check in through checkout, it was a nice start, enjoyed the sauna, hot tub and pool, very relaxing weekend. Resort close to my favorite places to eat.

Looking for a place on the beach to celebrate our wedding engagement.This place did not disappoint. Great spot right on the beach, excellent and an extremely pleasant staff. I accidently left my wallet in the bedside table, they alerted me and mailed it back. Will definitely book this property in the future.

We had a great stay at Ocean Sands. The property was well maintained and the staff were super friendly and were happy to help with all our needs. The room itself was comfortable and well appointed. A slight musty odor in the room is the reason for my only 4 stars on cleanliness.

A wonderful and relaxing experience was had. Clean rooms with a lovely view of the ocean. Great staff who were quick to help at any given movement. Would stay again.

The property was an average aged hotel that was kept in good condition. The room was clean with an exception of the walls where you can see someone’s footprints on the bedroom wall. Some things weren’t working, but they came right away to fix it. The view was amazing, even though we were on the third floor. I like that we had easy access to the garage from the third floor. The pool and sauna was very clean and we enjoyed that the most. They even have a massage room on the property which my wife took an advantage of. , even though we were on the third floor. When I arrived, I had to go to the restroom, they said I had to be a registered, guess I told them I'll be registering here, but I have to go to the restroom. It took a little time, but I got a key. Everything else was good. The place is clean. The people very helpful. There knowledge of places to go like for breakfast, lunch and dinner very helpful. Was able to wash my clothes. Cook a meal if I want and had a little fun at the bar they have in there. Very nice place. Will go again hopefully soon.

The price was reasonable for the off season and the staff were friendly. The office condition was questionable, there were a lot of water spots on the ceiling but thankfully our room did not seem to have water damage. The rooms could be updated a bit but they weren’t terrible. We were responsible for taking out our trash and if we needed new towels or sheets we had to seek staff for those items. There is a little “game room” advertised that we did not see while checking out the hotel and the outside deck area was not like the picture at all, it was quite disgusting.

This hotel is really outdated. The mattress was caved in, the pull out was not comfortable so none of us were able to sleep well. Our hotel room door had a huge crack which made it look like the door could be easily opened. The walls are paper thin. I guess the best thing about not sleeping well is that we were out the door by 7am to go sit in the sand and watch the sunrise.

The staff was great,Alexis did a fantastic job checking us in.The room was dirty though,we had to clean before we could unpack. I don’t like to leave negative reviews but I hope it will prepare anyone who stays here to bring their cleaning supplies..

Location was good, but the hotel was dated and all aspects in need of an upgrade—Lobby, room, bathroom, Everything,everywhere. The parking was limited and tight and we had to park in a different hotel lot 2 blocks away. The WORST part was the BLOOD AND MOLD STAINS ON THE SHEER CURTAINS in the room clearly visible. Immediately contacted front desk person,Daniel, who said they would immediately at least arrange to remove them if they could not be replaced. Upon returning to Hotel ~4 hrs later, I asked if they had been removed and he said “yes and likely even replaced.” Got to my room and NOTHING HAD BEEN REMOVED. So to add insult to injury, was lied to. Felt unclean, room needed vacuuming, etc. It was a most uncomfortable night. Felt like surrounded by bodily fluids. Will NOT stay there again!

Came with my 15 yr old son and his gf for a few nights. Very clean and comfortable. Could use some updating. Right on the beach. The area out front is a bit sketchy at night. Thought I read that they provided breakfast each morning but only found a basic coffee bar. Food in restaurant was ok.

First (and last) time staying at this hotel. Pros: Great view and location. Cons: worst bed in any hotel I have ever stayed at. Mattress was bouncy and springy. Every pillow was awful. I lucked into a parking spot but was told getting one isn't guaranteed. The AC blew hot air onto the porch so it had to be off if you are outside. Inside, I had it set to the lowest of 60 degrees and the room was still warm at all times which, along with the bed, added to no sleep. AC and other guests made it noisy. Shower was warm and had ZERO pressure. Elevator was unbearably slow. Most times I took the stairs to the 5th floor. Will be at a different place next year fo sho

The location is outstanding The staff was fantastic The property & room was Outdated! Broken jet tub. Room furniture was disgusting. Stains on the arms & cushions of couch. Small refrigerator Barley kept water cold much less anything else. Again I know I was paying for the location but come on… I paid a lot for mildew smelling 1990 decorated room. The garage is treacherous. I almost broke my ankle over a misaligned/broken storm drain cover on the 3rd floor parking. You can hardly get 1 car up the small ramp & you better hope no one else is trying to come down/out. We Had a great time on the beach but the room was nothing to write home about..

I stayed at the hotel for a weekend getaway. The hotel was really nice and pretty much in the center of everything. The room was clean, spacious and up to date. There is a parking deck available, however, if you moved your car there was a good chance you wouldn’t be able to get a spot once you come back. I would definitely visit again.

We spent a long weekend at the Ocean Sands hotel to celebrate our anniversary. We had excellent communication from the hotel from booking through checkout. Daniel, at the front desk, was very helpful and friendly to us. All of the staff we interacted with were very nice. The hotel is older, which is evident, but its very clean and everything was in working order. The oceanfront room with balcony had amazing views. The location is very convenient to get everywhere. We would definitely stay there again.

I was placed in the wrong room. I booked a 1 bedroom 2 bath and was given a 1 bed 1 bath that had blood stains on the comforter, dirty carpet, dirty bathroom and a nasty stain behind the toilet. There is very limited parking. The manager and team didn’t place me into another room until 2 nights later (half my stay) and only offered to comp me one night. I had to initiate every conversation. Management never bothered to call. Never got the 1 bed 2 bath I booked. We didn’t get fresh linens until day 2. Housekeeping never came to clean room. Can’t find carts to load and unload baggage. Pool was nice. Convenient location. Just don’t expect good communication, clean environment/room or to find a parking space.

Our request to reschedule our stay was ignored making this one of the most expensive trips to the east Coast we have ever taken. This is a great location with the problems that come from that. The Fourth of July fireworks were great, but the management did not control their parking so the parking was overrun. When some kids that rented the room above us were over the top with noise and slamming doors, it took two days to get resolution. The elevators went out twice in our stay.

The property was just average. Easily identifiable signs that maintaining the property was a secondary priority. The staff, while very friendly, were not very helpful. Parking is pretty sketchy. It appears that they don't have enough parking for all guests. We made the mistake of going to the grocery store on our 3rd day, we lost our spot. Local parking is pretty expensive and mostly not overnight. After finding a new spot, we made a point to not leave with our car again. The location and access to the beach and boardwalk are excellent. Had a wonderful vacation. If you care very little about the hotel and amenities, this is the place for you. We do not intend to start here again at the current price point. I believe the rates that they charge should come with better amenities and a higher expectation of service.

The property location was good but other than that I was not impressed. Wanted us to park two blocks away, coffee machine in lobby was broke, no breakfast. There was so much sand on the floors in our room that we kept our shoes on.
