Beautiful place tucked in the green mountains

Stayed 2 nights on business. Great hotel with much more potential. Staff was attentive and very pleasant. Room was large and well kept, but decor and furniture a little outdated. They may be remodeling because there were construction materials stored in parking area in front of the lobby (which blocked parking slots next to entrance). The room, facility and grounds were very clean, quiet and comfortable. I liked that they had heavy, plush towels and a vanity with a small, lighted, magnifying mirror. Bathroom was huge and cold. Lobby had complimentary water and coffee, which I liked. Also a huge, hotel living room next to lobby with nice couches to hang out and conversate. Nice bar upstairs where they offer wine tasting. Never had a chance to indulge due to conference in SLO. Would like to go back after they finish construction.

We celebrated our 1 year anniversary Monday and the hotel was beautiful despite heavy construction, the staff was friendly. The room was clean and had everything we needed. The bed was comfy and the robes were a plus to have with the hot tub just located on the balcony. We look forward to our next stay.

Although there was construction going on, we had a fabulous stay. We rode our bikes to the beach. There was live music venues along their biking/walking trail. We only stayed one night, but wished we stayed longer to play pickleball and check everything out. The hotel itself was very clean and nice. The fireplace was a romantic touch.

The main reason why we decided to stay at that hotel was the access to the nearby athletic club that was covered by $30 resort fee that they charge you. It was a very unpleasant surprise for us to find out upon arrival that it is no longer included. It is quite outrageous to continue charging guests $30 resort fee. When we asked what that resort fee covers we were advised that it gets us “free coffee, a small bottle of water and bicycle rental”. We tried to use the bicycles last time we stayed there. They are some clunky never-oiled graveyard things that won’t get you anywhere. I am attaching a picture to show what we were forced to pay $30 for. Also the gate to the trail is locked now. If you want to go for a walk you n ex to go around the property and nearby construction. And we were put into a room overlooking the parking lot with the same old and super-uncomfortable mattresses. Never again!

Beautiful hotel very secluded and tucked away. Perfect for a birthday or anniversary

They should include the athletic club use as they have previously

Very cozy, room is well maintained, we did experience a power outrage during our staying, but the staff took care the situation smoothly and provided a flash light to us.

We have stayed at Avila Village Inn many times, and always have a great experience. This time the power was out when we arrived, but it came back on just in time for check in and Jenny the manager handled the challenging situation with ease and confidence. The hot tub is perfect after dinner when you want to wind down and also with a cup of coffee in the morning. I highly recommend Avila Village Inn, great quiet romantic getaway a bike ride to the beach.

Love this place! Beautiful location and walking path to downtown Avila Beach. However, a little concerned about the parking situation once their addition is completed. Hope it in includes a parking garage!

I really enjoyed staying in the hotel Avila Village Inn! The room was really cozy- there was a fireplace in the room and the decor was just made to feel comfortable and at home-like! What really caught me by surprise - bathrobes! Thank you for your hospitality!

Really nice hotel in a great location. Short drive or bike ride to Avila Beach. Great walking trails. Beautiful rooms, very nice grounds. Free bike rentals. We've stayed several times before. It's one of our favorites.

We’ve never felt more relaxed and comfortable in a hotel, this experience was so tranquil and romantic for us.

Staff are always helpful and very personable. The hotel is clean and very comfortable. I have been staying here 3-4 times a year for the last 8 years and have never had a complaint. Location is wonderful and peaceful on the trail. Close to the beach yet far enough away for a peaceful visit.

Loved my stay at this quaint hotel. Staff was very friendly. Despite the construction next door, it was quiet and very clean. Loved the fireplace in the room.

Pictures are very deceptive. No pool, not on the ocean. Room was nice but pool was at a neighboring business and cost $25 a day, a person to use.

Second time booking with this place and I love it. Quiet, clean and comfortable.

There is no pool or spa and that is deceiving because of the pictures online. Our shower was horrible!! Water only came out of half of the holes in the faucet and it came out like needles. It hurt so bad. There was construction just outside our balcony that woke us up and ruined our view. It was the most disappointing stay I’ve had in a long time. Will never go back.

The property was very quaint. I felt like I was staying in someone's large home. The only negative was that my room was right next to where they were doing construction. I would stay again, hopefully after the construction is done.

The staff was great and the place was clean. However, there is no bar and no pool/hot tub as the pictures show. That was disappointing. There was construction on the building right next to us, so we couldn’t open the curtains or construction workers could look in.

Very clean, staff was welcoming.
I bit disappointed that tbe garden area was no longer there.

Our stay was very disappointing. My husband and I booked this trip for our last getaway before we welcome a new baby and we were shocked by the overall experience we had. Upon check in we were treated different based on the fact that we booked through a third party, very rude. The following day we were getting ready to head out for the day and the power went out. we understand thing that are out of there control however there was absolutely no communication with the staff and us regarding the issue and it made it impossible to get ready for the day in the dark with now power. We came back that evening to find that it had come back on and we were looking forward to using the amenities advertised in the booking such as the pool only to be told they no longer included that in our stay and it would be an additional $25/person per day to use the amenities at the clubhouse next door. The room was very outdated and the “fireplace” didn’t work well. There is also construction going on and the parking situation is just ridiculous considering they can charge a $30 per day resort fee. Overall we would not book here again for the price and experience we are very disappointed.

Great hotel! Very clean and comfortable.

The good news first; free charging for your EV vehicle if you have one. Located near Bob Jones Park, lovely 1.2 mile path down to Avila Beach. The not so good next; charmless room with no amenities, meaning no water no coffee. Room is tired and dated, bed is mushy and the pillows were rock hard. Room and bathroom were clean but a maintenance man should touch up room and bath more than one every 7 years. The general store adjacent to hotel is filled with amenities that have little relevance for one that wants to eat. As this is a mixed use developments be prepared to have to drive if you want a decent meal.
