In a business trip I look for a clean room and a friendly staff. Hotel Acosta has it.

Simple and adequate but only one towel for two people. I could have asked for more and should have. Water in the room would also have been appreciated.

It’s an older hotel, but all the basic needs are met at the hotel. Staff were always helpful. The hotel is in a good location. Breakfast was satisfactory but not elaborate.

We stayed 2 separate nights. 1 before Amazon and 1 after. First night rooms were close to very busy road. So noise all night long. 2nd night moved away from road and was better. Tried to arrange transport from Airport and hotels.com wasn’t able to get a hold of them and neither could we by phone as the number on hotels.com was no longer inservice. Finally our hotel in Cusco was able to look up another number and got ahold of them. There airport shuttle price was very high so for the trip back to airport our Amazon tour group (Curassow) took us to airport for a much cheaper price. Rooms were clean and breakfast was good.

I was with my 2 young adult sons, we had a triple room, just for a few hours of sleep before moving on. The size of the room was small, but adequate. The mattresses were not very comfortable, but tolerable. The worst complaints were: no hot water, loud/echoing hallways (though thankfully the other guests did not disturb us while sleeping), and the airport transportation. The website said free airport shuttle is provided; when we landed and called for transport, we were told that is only for guests staying more than 3 days. The taxi fare was 30 soles for all 3 of us (approximately $10), which wasn't objectionable. But I was very anxious about choosing a safe/official taxi.

I travel to Iquitos annually. Acosta is a reasonably priced facility that is only a few blocks from Plaza de Armas. Clean with a/c and a decent breakfast. Will stay again.

Very close to restaurants and shopping. A nice place to stay for the price! And breakfast was also good. It was comfortable and clean which is important to me! The motorcycles are a bit loud from the street, but that is everywhere in Iquitos really.

Centric, clean and friendly. Nos encantó hospedarnos en este hotel. Y por supuesto el aire acondicionado es a plus.

In a good location, but quite loud because of all the moto-taxis outside. Ask for a room not facing the busy street and it will be much better

Very nice basic hotel. Clean safe good breakfast nice bed 1 block from the main square. Have stayed here many times...Jaky and her staff are excellent people. Would give it a 5 but internet is a little spotty sometimes, of course that is true all over iquitos

Great hotel - Clean and quiet (make sre you ask for an inside room that isnt on the street as Iquitos has 1,000s of mototaxis 24/7 that will heep you awake - Great breakfast incluided - Free airport transfer - The same company also owns the Heliconia Jungle Lodge -

Arrived late at night check in very easy. Room was clean and quiet. Breakfast buffet with lots of choice as well as cooked eggs to order. Well located for us. Would stay again and have recommended to others as a good place to stay.

Its pretty basic. No lift. Rooms are dated and scruffy but clean. Staff are friendly and helpful. It is located one block down from plaza de armaz, very central. It is however, extremely noisy, literally all night long next to a busy road. If youre a light sleeper, you may struggle to sleep and / or wake up in the night. If you can put up with the noise and dont want to spend too much money, this will work for you. Id recommend Victoria Regia as an alternative.

The staff at Hotel Acosta were exceptional. From the first day we entered the hotel lobby we were treated as honored guests. The desk staff, the breakfast staff and the cleaning staff were all open, friendly and willing to help in any way we requested. The last night we were there we requested a recommendation from the desk clerk for hotel for the next night in Lima. She said would see what she could do. We left for dinner and when we returned she had reserved a room for us in a very nice hotel in Lima. Very happy with the hotel.

Close to the main plaza, clean rooms, great staff

The hotel was a good value but not for everyone, just like Iquitos. Pro's, very nice staff. Good breakfast, only several blocks from the waterfront and the happening part of town. Cons, it's right on the edge of the nicer part of Iquitos and not a terribly pretty part of town. Ask the staff for the direction of the water and the plaza and walk that way as the wrong direction puts you in a less desirable area. Room was clean but nothing fancy and not recently updated. It was a good value and I'd recommend it to travelers who can handle fewer amenities than most 3star hotels offer. We stayed here prior to our Amazon ecolodges and it was a good transition.

We were a little nervous when we saw the barred security door on the entrance to the hotel, but inside the staff were helpful, the rooms clean and beds comfortable and the breakfast buffet was good. This is definitely a no-frills option- if you want a pretty room look elsewhere- but for us the price, included breakfast, and shuttle to airport at end of our stay were worth it.
We had an interesting experience one morning where we found ants (quite common in Iquitos) had discovered one of the platters on the breakfast buffet- when we pointed it out to the kitchen staff we were pleased to see that they not only got rid of the ants and cleared the platter but cleared the whole buffet and reset everything.

Nice hotel, Relatively clean, close to the Iquitos 'downtown' square. (10 minute walk or less.) Mostly need to walk into square to find amenities, cafes, etc, although there are some closer to the hotel. Best feature of the stay was the free, (with e-mail pre-arrangement) shuttle from the airport to the hotel. Morning breakfast was OK. Stayed there twice in two weeks' time and the first stay was a more 'full' breakfast, second just had some toast and deli meats. Not much for a vegetarian. Overall the hotel was decent and prices pending I would stay there again.

Room was small and basic, but comfortable enough: air conditioner kept the room at a nice temperature. Bed was just OK. Main problem was the noise: my room overlooked one of the busier streets in Iquitos and so was very noisy from dawn to night. But most of the centrally situated hotels in Iquitos are like this, so I would recommend earplugs or noise cancelling headphones. Friendly staff and an efficient free shuttle to and from the airport.

After checking the hotel on hotels.com and the casa Andina website, it seems like this hotel was over sold. Disappointing

This is a great hotel for the cost. Our room was clean and the staff were very pleasant and helpful.

I was pleased to find this hotel, chosen at least in part because of the cost, clean and comfortable, with very responsive staff. If you are seeking lodging in Iquitos that is cost-effective and of good value, I would definitely recommend you check out the Acosta.

clean, refreashing, will stay again.

Clean, good service, free wifi, hot breakfast buffet... Only one problem and that was our room as facing the road and there's a lot of traffic. But honestly I'm just looking for problems here. I'd definitely go back and definitely recommend it, maybe just ask for a room that doesn't face the main road.

Hote Acosta was very well-located in the city. Within-walking distance of all the main sights, it was great. The hotel staff was also very helpful and in general seemed concerned about my well-being and travel experience. The free beakfast, however, was vey lame and not worth waking up early.
1.5 / 5.0
convenient hotel well located at a walking distance to good restaurants, shopping and the amazon riverfront. no luxury but well conceived rooms. good value for the rate.
