Big plus for the lovely staff, super comfortable bed, fabulous gym, really quiet room on 5th floor.
I have to say though that my room and hotel common areas could do with a refresh as they are getting quite tatty. Also my bathroom was grotty with mould in places and my breakfast cups and crockery were not properly washed. Breakfast offer was generous on the full English scale but no healthy or continental option when I visited.
4.0
business, easy access to hospital and shops

Great stop

Receptionist when we arrived barely said anything, not very helpful at all.

My overnight stay was as expected at a Village Hotel.
In a friendly non-pretentious environment with good facilities that were well maintained.
The service I received as a guest speaker at a conference the following day was amazing! I had a few audio issues with my presentation and the conference host could not have worked harder to support me to find a solution which she did.

Their own signs indicate that the hotel should be quiet between 10.30 and 7am, not unreasonable, and yet an exercise class in the gym (the floor below my room) with unnecessarily loud music began at 6.30 am. Not that early, but not the point. I worked very late then was awoken early by very loud shouting banging and bad dance music

Convenient, clean and comfy. Pity that the aircon comes on when the next door room have a shower in the middle of the night which did wake us up. We mentioned it to the lovely guy in reception who was most apologetic and said that had we called down they could have sorted it. Otherwise had a restful stay.

Great apart from the air con was making a really loud noise for a long time! It sorted itself out but after an hour I’d say. No phone in the room to ring reception only a qr code to report the error?! No one came to fix ir

I have stayed at various village hotels before and this one really fell short of my expectations. I was disappointed with my stay.
The room had lots of stains all over the carpet and feels in need of some renovations.
However finding a pair of men’s boxers behind the bathroom door was the worst part. This shows the level of cleaning. These were removed when I let the check in staff know thankfully.

Always happy with the service and rooms at the Village. Food was also really good.

Easy check in. Stayed just one night in club room 420. Room was left with just 1 x hand towel and 2 bath towels so I’m guessing the room turnaround standards are low. Bathroom floor was bouncy so could do with attention.
After a rainy night I found evidence of a leak near to the entrance to the room. This was reported upon checking out.

Wonderful day couldn’t say enough positive things about this location. The check-in gentleman was so delightful. What a great experience. The seagull sits outside the window, waiting for you to throw things out the window to him. Don’t feed the bird. lol. It was a cute addition

Great service but rooms are really dated considering the hotel looks quite modern on first glance. Wouldn't visit again.

had a great stay here room on the 4th floor. it was really nice and peaceful.
the bar was very pleasant though not overly impressed by the food choice or quality.
room was great loved the decor and size , bed was perfect even had a thin pillow that i like without having to ask for one
only complaints being that the chair in the room was badly stained and the floor standing lamp didn't work

Room was lovely but weekend ruined by our bikes being stolen. Hotel did not allow us to put bikes in room. The had no locked room. We locked bikes in outside bike racks. We were told they were safe and on cctv. Thieves didnt care. Cut through locks took one bike and came back for another. There was cctv that police will look at. When we reported this to the hotel they said it was not their liability and denied saying that had said it was safe. So nice rooms, reception staff need empathy training and not to lie

I have stayed here a few times and on this trip I ordered room service. It’s the first time I have eaten at the hotel and my meal was delivered with no cutlery. Get some sent up was a joke you have no phone to call reception just a QR code for a chat bot. After. Answer a number of questions way more than necessary to get through to a person I sat wait for a response for over 10 minutes while my food got cold. In the end I called the central reservation number the only number I could find. They called the hotel and finally someone brought me cutlery. I think I’ll go back to eating out and not eat at the hotel again. The food wasn’t even worth the wait

Fun place to stay, with pool and gym facilities and a lively bar/restaurant all on site. Great staff, easy parking, fair prices, etc

We had a good time as the facilities were brilliant (indoor pool and jacuzzi) which were included in our stay. Our king sized bed was very comfortable. Some minors though, we noticed that our room was not very clean (plenty of hair stuck in the chair in our room- not our hair) and the floor not cleaned very well either.
We would really suggest improving the cleanliness aspect of this hotel as it would massively enhance one's experience.

Got checked in by a very friendly chap and went to my room to find two single mattresses made up on the floor. Went back down to reception to make sure I wasn't in the wrong room and was told by the always rude lady receptionist with the red hair that I should move them myself to under the bed. If it wasn't in a convenient location I'd stop staying here because of her.

Always love a village hotel!
Stayed for 3 nights on family holiday to Bournemouth. Location was ok- right across from the hospital a&e (but there wasn’t much disruption from this), and a 10 minute drive from the beach/amusement pier. Not much else close by without having access to a car.
My son managed to spill my red wine on the duvet on the first night and this was left like this by housekeepers throughout our stay, they just made the bed every morning with the stain on show!!!
Kids loved the pool which was clean (but a bit cold!) and they had access to noodles and swim weights for them too.
Food from the bar was nice and the rest of the hotel was clean and well kept.
Friendly staff.

From the minute I walked in the manager Palo clocked me . I was feeling rather down . I was on my own and probably looked a mess. There was no judgement. He was so so kind and understanding. In fact all the staff were incredible . As a lady on her own I have never felt more safe and looked after in my life . I honestly recommend to anyone and everyone. I’ve stayed at high end hotels and this hotel topped them all .

It was very spacious, have to kids wish there was a sofa or more of a seating area in the room there was only 1 chair an the kids beds were literally roll out beds so close to the dirty floor,
Bathroom was not that clean, other guests were so noisy they must of had an big family in 2 rooms and there were young kids in an out of the rooms talking load knocking doors till late

Lovely welcome from staff on arrival. Our room was very large, clean and comfortable.
Loved the swimming pool and clean changing rooms. The lobby area was large and relaxing.
Great having a Starbucks on site too.

Good location.

Room was ok. Even though we have booked a club room, there was no entertainment facilities available (Sky remote was missing and staff did not know that should be there even). Bed was with two single mattress put together even though said a king size bed. Breakfast was a disaster. All the hot stations were cold. Bacon was cold and soggy, eggs were dry and beans was cold. Coffee machine only had black coffee, coffee tasted old.

The stay was good can not believe you have to pay for parking when you are staying at the hotel when you pay over a £100 a night

Good hotel but the late night parties ruined the experience.
8.0
Little bit to far from Beach

Shower screen totally inadequate length for the shower. No matter how hard I tried water escaped onto floor and had to use floor towel and a hand towel both days to make floor safe to walk on post shower. Such a waste!!

The night manager was amazingly friendly which is so nice as we visit hotels in bournmouth every fortnight for the last 3 years.
We will now only stay at this hotel from now on.
He made us feel so welcome when we arrived
