Clean and convenient to train station . Very busy road outside so noisy in rooms facing road . Small foyer with few seats .Bar only opens 6-9 pm Receptionist helpful .Breakfast ok.

We have stayed at this hotel twice and it is wonderful, we wouldn't stay anywhere else when visiting Lake Garda. The staff are all very helpful and friendly and the hotel is very clean and comfortable with a great breakfast. It's in a great location, a few minutes walk from the centre of Desenzano and about a 10 minute walk from the train station which is very handy to explore places further afield such as Venice and Verona.

Most reception staff very dismissive & rude. No tea making facilities in the room. We received rolled eyes when questioned. Room was comfortable & clean. Lovely pool area.

Amazing hotel and very friendly staff and reception staff who gave us lots of pointers of where to visit with maps etc. so clean and quiet (request a quieter room and they upgraded us to a ground floor overlooking pool). Breakfast and coffee so good only criticism is there are not coffee facilities in the room which I missed!

Mis sold a room. Hotel attitude was terrible. Booked room with view, given room with view of road and car wash. Asked for money back, refused. Spiteful attitude of hotel was disgraceful.

Beautiful looking hotel, very clean and good facilities. Loved the pool. Great reception staff. Very helpful and attentive. Bar staff were good and bar prices very competitive. The Only downside was the breakfast staff. The breakfast had a wide variety of foods, but even though breakfast didn’t finish until 10:30, we found coming down to breakfast after 9:30 would mean the staff were more interested in clearing breakfast away than being attentive to the guests. Some foods would not be replenished after 9:30. However it was only a small niggle and would stay again.

This hotel was lovely and clean. The swimming pool was always kept clean with plenty of sun beds. Nicely situated and 5 mins walk into the town and 10 mins walk to train station. Breakfast was plenty but one little critism was it would have been nice to have beans. My personal taste though. Had a lovely stay here and would recommend this hotel.

Hotel was in a good area to visit the town but the only problem was we had a room on the front of the hotel and the noise from the road was loud and the car wash opposite was loud so we couldn’t have the balcony door open, and that’s the only fault I can give this hotel.

We found the hotel a great base to explore lake garda and other cities in Italy due to the town having a good railway station. We used the ferries regularly to visit other places on the lake. Venice, Verona and Milan are also accessible on the train for a reasonable fare. The cost of the bar drinks was the only real negative.

Stayed here for a week in July 2017. Hotel facilities bright clean and modern. Looked like it had been recently refurbished or redecorated. Lovely staff made us feel very welcome. Breakfast is excellent. Parking outside and in cool garage area. Would recommend and return in future. Good base to visit Garda area and short walk to main line rail station for trains to Milan, Venice and beyond.

We were recommended this hotel by my son and daughter in law who stayed there last summer and, after our stay, we would be very happy to recommend it to others. The hotel is tastefully decorated and above all, clean and welcoming. The room was lovely and the bed particularly comfortable ensuring great sleep each night of our 1 week stay. The bathroom was very well appointed with a nice big walk in shower (no bath which is fine for us, would have to check if baths available in other rooms). I was disappointed that there wasn't a mirror in the room (there is a full length one on the inside of a wardrobe door but no socket nearby) as I prefer not to have to dry my hair in the bathroom and have my own hairdryer with me. However, a request for a mirror and extra hangers was dealt with swiftly and courteously. In fact, requests to he staff for help in any way were always dealt with in a professional and courteous manner. Breakfast was of an extremely high standard, lots of choice, a little of everything which was constantly replenished and choices for those that are gluten free/diabetic or watching their weight! The hotel's proximity to the centre of Desenzano was great, basically a little stroll down the road and plenty of car parking spaces was a real plus as we had hired a car. All in all a really lovely hotel which we would happily return to.

Gerat hôtel, good location, good facilities, closer to 4 Star than 3 Star. Minor comments - pool area could end up very busy/short of beds, simply due to the size (was lovely when we ewre there outside school holidays). Staff are all very friendly but service outside breakfast hours is sometimes a little slow - not a problem if you're on holiday and unwinding though.
