I arrived after a long work day and of travelling. I booked a room and paid in advance and when I arrived I was told there was no rooms available. I was confused as to what I paid for if there was no room. The manager was very rude and acted like I was an inconvenience. Then gave me a room and told me it’s over there go find it. And when I complained the next day a worker told me I was lying as the person was not there at the time I said even though I had evidence. I was disgusted with my experience.

Good for one night stay , clean and tidy , room good and bed comfy , could do with more teabags only 2 on tray and a pkt of 3 cheap biscuits between two of us Breakfast offered is plenty to start the day except we had to wait 20mins for items to be replaced , no eggs , no beans , food was cold , would have been so much better if all food trays were full and hot , asked staff and were quite nonchalant about it telling me " it's being cooked "

Waited over an hour for food to be told we hadn't ordered anything! Very rude unhelpful girl behind the desk, more worried about going outside to smoke. Then when our order eventually turned up, it was wrong. Room shabby, broken items in the room and plug sockets not working.

Due to roadworks the hotel was a little difficult to get to, though this was not something the hotel could do anything about. The hotel sign is set back from the road and partially obscured by bushes. It can only be spotted at the last minute. However, once in the hotel the staff were welcoming and helpful. The rooms and public areas are clea and tidy and there is a handy bar and restaurant available.

Small bed, only one chair. Difficult to get to, not advised obvious route closed by roadworks. Restaurant closed apart from breakfast so had difficulty getting anything to eat( as could not take dog into nearby restaurants and couldn’t leave her in room if we were out of the hotel). Tbh overall pretty grim ☹️☹️☹️

Hotel needs updating it’s very dated and scruffy on places. Breakfast choice was limited and ran out of cooked products when a large party came. Beds are small and not comfy at all plus the quilts are strange. Normally love holiday inn but not this one.

Staff were great, main reception/bar was nice and modern. Breakfast was good. Room was clean if a bit basic and tired looking , but main thing stopped from giving a 4;star was rooms weren't that well sound insulated and was quite noisy from other guests, plus we booked 2 rooms and my in-laws TV was not working for the whole trip. Hotel was full so couldn't move them to another room and they could not repair :-(

Bed was very comfortable and huge! Access off main road was poorly signposted. Once in it was fine but we missed the turning twice! Convenient location for our purposes.

Booked as standard room but got a disabled one which isn't a major issue but when one doesn't need these adjustments, especially in the bathroom, it is not comfortable. Bath was not clean around the edges, shower leaked spraying water everywhere.

This is the second time I have used a Holiday Inn and the second time I was pleasantly suprised at the quality of the room. Anna on reception was especially helpful sorting out some invoicing issues. The only shortfall is the restaurant. The staff work very hard, but the reception staff have to take menu orders and serve drinks. My chicken burger was very unappetisting. The pizza looked the best option, but there's not much choice and portions were small. The vending machine was my saviour for crisps and chocolate!There is plenty of parking space and it's a good location.

Resold my room, saying they tried to contact me (no missed call or emails) but because I didn’t check in they resold my room. Arrived late, hungry and tired, to be told this and no rooms left, so nowhere to sleep. Only offer partial refund. Absolutely appalling!

Good breakfast. Could really do with some maintenance. Bathroom tiles badly need re grouting. Loose floor tiles. Not given twin room despite booking months in advance and mattress needed replacing, springs were popping and uncomfortable. Not enough electricity sockets and none near the bed.

we stayed for 2 nights,20 minute walk to the station for the train to Utilita arena, room was very clean ,breakfast nice and hot! A special shout out to Sophia who worked so hard all morning and nothing was too much trouble for her,all with a smile,a credit to the hotel.
