Mare Nostrom was a great petite hotel, Enrico the owner was exceptionally hospitable and helpful. We spent a week traveling in Sicily, and on our way to Malta so we could comfortably get some rest and enjoy the beach across the street and some great restaurants recommended by Enrico. I highly recommend this spot!!

The hotel is centrally located and the owner/hosts are very nice, helpful and kind. The city centre is just around the corner and the beach close by. Ideal for a combination of activities and stop over. There are several restaurants nearby as well as a beach for a swim.

This Bed and Breakfast hotel is the perfect example of a small family-run lodging that gives you that extra layer of care and comfort travelers want and appreciate. The owners were friendly and kind, giving us the help and support we needed on our trip. We highly recommend this hotel and would certainly stay here again!

Super location just across the road from the beach, lovely restaurants within easy walking distance, and a 5 minute drive to the Virtu Ferries. A little bit of work on the outside of the property makes it tricky to find the hotel and blurs the view from the window, but superb service and a very lovely overnight stay. Thank you :-) for the breakfast.

We expected a hotel, as the name is petit hotel. However it is a B&B. The room is comfotable, with space to put the luggage. Bathroom well equipped, even if the shower stall is smallish. All very clean.

Great location for access to the ferry to Malta. The owner was very nice, providing us with a bag breakfast when we needed to leave very early in the morning. Several restaurants within east walking distance. Overall pleasant experience.

This is a great find in Pazzollo. Most people probably choose to avoid this town but it is a refreshing change to be in a normal working village and outside the tourist track particularly if part of a cycling tour which is what brought us here. Reception was very friendly. Although check-in was not open until later the manager came back from lunch to let us in and to open the garage where we could safely store our bikes. It is 5 min from the sea but about 10-15 min from the nearest beach (which we would not particularly recommend). However, there is a fantastic restaurant and wine bar nearby called "Avalatta" which is right on the water and deserves high praise and serves excellent fish specialities in the perfect setting with friendly staff. The hotel is clean and calm. While there is no view this was not a problem given our short stay and it was great to have a function aircon. The breakfast was excellent. Overall it was great value.

One night to catch Malta ferry early morning. Enrico was a fantastic host and I highly recommend the hotel. Very happy with our stay. You can walk to everything. Enrico arranged our ride to the ferry terminal and he was waiting for us a 6.30am.

Overnight stay. After disembarking from a 21 hr ferry journey from Genoa to Palermo we drove to Pozzallo. The owner stayed up late to greet us at 11.35 pm. We were given a friendly welcome, in good English thankfully as we don't speak Italian. He even gave us good advice as to when we should leave in the morning for our next ferry to Malta, giving us an hour more sleep than we would have had. The room was clean with a good sized en-suite bathroom and a huge comfortable bed. Definately would recommend this hotel for long or short stays.

Upon arrival we were greeted warmly by Enrique, the owner of the hotel. The hotel is clean,warm and cozy and the complimentary breakfast was lovely. As with Enrique, each member of staff provided a really friendly personal service. Had we not been travelling to Malta the next morning we would most definitely have stayed longer.

We were very pleased with the personal attention and kindness of the manager. He was very patient with us and provided local information which was very important to us. He is a real people person. We will definitely stay here again when we are in the area. Parking was easy and we loved the town of Pozzallo.

Great little town with super helpful staff! Room was clean & comfortable. Water pressure was great and bathroom was modern & clean. The town has a great feel to it; i drove from Amsterdam to Malta and this was my favorite stop along the way. :) Ohhh... And the free breakfast was amazing!!!!

We broke our holiday in Malta to have three days in Sicily and decided to stay in Pozzallo so as to be close to the ferry port. The hotel was a little dated and ready for some TLC but that was more than compensated for by the owner and staff who could not have been more friendly and helpful.Our three days of exploring this part of Sicily was greatly helped by the research that they carried out for us on local bus and train times. They also recommended great restaurants and walks around the area.

We spent two nights at the Mare Nostrum on a weekend trip to Sicily. The hotel is well situated in the small town of Pozzallo and a comfortable place to stay at a reasonable price. What really made the trip stand out was Enrico (director) and his staff who are super nice and helpful. They went the extra mile to make our stay and visit of Sicily great, including helping us rent a car, restaurant recommendations and sightseeing advice. we will definitely go back on our next trip to the island

Hotel was not luxurious but very basic, breakfast was a let down and really didn't take it after the second day. The other thing about the hotel was the noise as its right facing a technical school so lots of noisy kids from early on in the morning. It's ok on a very basic level sea is one street away but everywhere there is graffiti feels very run down and a bit scary for a woman alone at night.
