Lovely hotel, rooms a bit dated, but the spa. Wow, more than made up for it. It was amazing. The staff were very friendly and super helpful too. Will definitely stay here again if we are in the area.

Was staying here for the Oddebollen football cup. Room was ok but should have a fridge for keeping beverages and some food.Could not adjust the warm water in the shower. Just this room or to keep the power cost down? Location was a bit outside downtown, so either eat at the hotel restaurant or take the car into the city. Nearby only a mini-golf course and a small bar by the sea. Overall an ok hotel. The food and staff was excellent!

Friendly and service-minded staff with genuine smiles and a great breakfast makes up for some of the shortcomings in the room. Very dated room, especially the bathroom which shows many years of wear and tear, and not very fresh. Location of the hotel is fine, with great views overlooking the harbor inlet. Free parking vary close to the reception, which is great. Didn't have a chance to visit the Spa, but I heard form other guests that it is fantastic.

The view was amazing but the spa was (poop). Yes there was poop in the spa pool and all of the hot tubs needed a scrub badly. The pool next to the cold plunge obviously hadn’t had a proper cleaning in a long time. Ponds have less brown scum and floating skin cells than this. The other hot tubs had sand in the bottoms. The spa had big potential but just fallen off. Add one more staff to go around water vacuum out poop and sand. Drain the hot tubs and introduce them to a scrub brush. The room was wonderful.

Vi var ett gäng på sex personer som bokat tre rum. Incheckningen var väldigt långsam. Våra rum var inte klara förrän ca 16.30. Städerskorna gjorde vad de kunde och bad om ursäkt men vi fick ingen ursäkt från receptionspersonalen trots att de sade att vi skulle få tillgång till rummen senast 16.00. Servicen i restaurangen var ej bra men maten var bra. Spa avdelningen var ok men det finns andra Spa i närområdet som enligt mig är betydligt bättre och mer prisvärda. Rummen var ganska slitna. Kommer inte återvända till Bohusgården igen utan väljer andra alternativ.

Bra frukost.Men sämre service.Dåligt städat när vi anlände samt en trasig fåtölj på rummet, allt påpekades till receptionen, men inget hände på de fem dagar som vi hade bokat.Så tyvärr blir det inte detta hotell någon mer gång.

Rommet var greit, men gammelt. Maten, både frokost og middag, var dårlig. Maten trakk ned hele oppholdet. Vi betalte oss inn for bassenget og var med våre to barn, for å få tilgang måtte vi også betale inn på spaet som vi ikke fikk benyttet. Dette burde ha vært to priser på.

Hej! Var det tråkigaste rummet jag någonsin har bott i, var ett konferensrum! Fanns ingen tvål på rummet, fick säga till,pinsamt dåligt. Middagen var så uselt, bad att få en dricklista-det fanns inte. De satte oss vid ett bord, där det fanns en dörr,som stod och slog hela tiden.Kom ingen och frågade hur det smakade/eller om vi vill ha ngt mer att dricka. Jag bad om att då våtservetter, då jag åt räkor. Men det trodde hon (servitrisen) inte fanns, fast jag såg att bordet brevid hade. Så jag letade resa på dessa själv. Ingen sa ngt när vi checkade ut, frågade inte/tackade inte. Riktigt besviken !

Mycket fint och trevligt bemötande under hela vistelsen. Rent och väl omhändertaget hotell, mycket god frukost- och bistrobuffé. Hade med oss en person med rullator samt en hund och fick boende perfekt anpassat utifrån detta. Fin strandpromenad nedanför hotellet. Kommer gärna tillbaka!

Allt var otroligt bra. Bara två små detaljer att anmärka på! Brödet till frukost borde ha större variation. Den enda brödrosten som fanns var otroligt liten i förhållande till den stora mängden folk på frukosten. Två större brödrostar borde finnas. Vi ser fram emot nästa vistelse!

Rummet hade varit vattenskadat. Taket hade skador. Ett enormt ljud liknande en båts ångvissla när närstående rum använde dusch eller toalett. Trots påpekande gjordes inget. Blev ej erbjuden annat rum. Efter att ha klagat fick vi dock halva summan för rummet återbetalt. Dock en dålig natts sömn.

Ppl and resturant was ok. Food was nothing special. The room i had was Horrible. No aircon or ventilation. It was clearly not upgraded since 1970's with brown lepard theme on the wall. Bathroom looked and felt worn down. Construction also right outside that started somwere between 0530 and 0600 in the morning.

Nice hotel and friendly staff. They always went the extra mile whenever we had questions, which was very appreciated. Breakfast is included and everything you need is there in abundance. Very pleased with that. The room we booked was with a view on the sea. If you value a good view from the hotelroom, this is definitely worth the extra money! The view was amazing and the balcony was nice to sit on. The only thing I found lacking was a mini fridge, which would be very convenient if you have white wine in the room (like me). I will come back as a customer again and would recommend this hotel!

Hotellet hade behövt en uppgradering. Rummen kändes som ett bed and breakfast. Det var inte värt priset.. dusch munstycket var trasigt och man fick knappt ut balsamet i håret. Maten var tyvärr inte heller i toppklass. Kvälls Buffén kändes som en lunchbuffé... Kommer inte åka hit igen.

Hotellet var jättefint! Rent och snyggt och överraskande nog blev vi bjudna på kaffe, croissant och godis när vi anlände! Rummet med enormt vacker utsikt och all bekvämlighet förhöjde vår vistelse!

Nice hotel and a very nice view from the hotel. Excellent place to walk, run, bike around the hotel area. Water in the Beach is not the best but is also a nice place to be on a sunny day.

The staff really makes you feel welcome. Genuine smiles on everyone's face. Nice breakfast buffet with a good variety of products The only negative thing was the beds in my room. Extremely soft (or worn?)

We stayed only one night, travelling through. The room was spacious and light and the staff very helpful and friendly. However, the room was not very well cleaned, despite the ongoing pandemic, and the beds were extremely soft. It's a matter of personal taste, I guess, but for us it was too soft.

These are strange times. It's even stranger the way Bohusgården have decided to cope with it. While many (if not most) hotels provides sanitizer gel throughout the premises, increase the cleaning regime, place disposal gloves at the buffet restaurants and offers key cards to minimise the spread of the virus. Bohusgården reduces the cleaning service and only clean rooms between guests, do not provide any disposable gloves in the restaurant and have standard physical keys for the rooms. This spa and conference hotel offers fantastic views over the fjord and the spectacular Uddevalla bridge is a maze of corridors and buildings where the newest additions offers high standard, super comfy and spacious rooms with very nice beds. The older wings are subject to refurbishment so ask for a new room. There is no shortage of conference rooms at the hotel (especially nowadays...) and the spa is a not to miss. Apart from several saunas and hot tubs (also outdoor) there is a huge indoor pool. The hotel is quite a walk uphill from the (mostly deserted) city centre and a car is a necessity to explore the fantastic coastal area west and north of the city.
