Really enjoyed our stay! Very clean! Ordered takeout from the Japanese restaurant downstairs and they call your room when the order is ready. Sushi was excellent! Also appreciated the coffee maker and tea in the room that morning. And express checkout and free parking. Will be back again soon!

A/C was horrible!! Did not work even on the lowest setting. Hotel should focus more on functionality instead of just Aesthetics. Paid $200 to try to sleep like I was in the desert!! Freaking ridiculous!! When I told the front desk that I didn't enjoy my stay, the lady guessed correctly that the A/C wasn't wiring properly... imagine that!! NEVER AGAIN!! STAY AWAY UNLESS YOU LOVE HEAT!!

Room was hot that we were unable to fall asleep and even though maintenance came to reset it twice, the issue was not resolved. They brought us a fan as their solution. Sliding door latch was broken and they were able to fix it. Didn’t want to leave our room without that issue being fixed as someone could enter our room. Remote for the tv needed a new battery, they provided a new battery. The following issues were not reported because I could live with it and night person who answered our call was rude and hung up on us when we called a second time to report that the AC was still not working. I didn’t want to encounter another negative experience. - Reading lamp was not working. - The toilet paper holder seemed to be repaired using hot glue and it was barely hanging on. Had to carefully hold the roll holder while taking the toilet tissue. - The towel rack easily popped out and needed to be put back on every time I removed my towel. - coffee and tea were not refilled on the final day of our stay. The hotel location was excellent, safe and clean. The room was dated but still okay if everything worked properly. The self parking was readily available. Some staff had excellent customer service and greeted guests wonderfully and provided an atmosphere that we expected from the Miyako brand, like the young gentleman that helped us bring our luggage to the room and the housekeepers. The front desk was not as I would expect and did not have basic customer service skills.

Enjoyed my stay for sure. The window next to the 2nd bed that looks into the shower and tub is a little weird though. I can understand in a king bed room but typically if you book a double it means you don’t want to share a bed with someone so you probably don’t want them to potentially see you taking a shower. The window covering was also on the bed side of the window so the person in the shower cannot control whether it is up or down. Trust who you are staying with I guess cuz you can see through the to toilet too if it’s up. The bidet was nice as was the seat temp selection. Loved the shower too. One of the best I’ve had in a hotel.

Checked into hotel 9/5/24. Heatwave in Los Angeles. Hotel room air conditioning started. Came back 2 hours later room warm and air conditioning not working. Called front desk and they said engineer would fix it. Requested a new room and told they were sold out. About an hour later it was working. Weak all night and warm in room. Went out next day. Returned to warm room and air conditioning not working. Called front desk and requested a new room. Said they were sold out and engineer would fix by midnight. It was 8pm. Midnight came and no air. Had to sleep in hot room all night. Couldn’t open windows because the chiller was outside our window and very loud. Next morning called front desk about 730am to request a new room. Told they would check on it. Meanwhile I chatted with a live agent on hotels.com app who called the front desk and requested a refund way entire stay. Front desk told agent they were working on finding us a room while my husband was standing in front of him. They eventually moved us to a suite on the third night with working air conditioning but it took 2 hot nights and an agent requesting a full refund to get us moved to another room with air conditioning during a heatwave. We wil never stay at this hotel again. I requested a refund for my miserable first two nights and haven’t received it.

The Miyako Hybrid Hotel has been consistently clean, safe, and providing top-notch service. As such, it's become my favorite stay when in the Los Angeles area. The parking is free, safe, and convenient. The neighborhood is walkable and loaded with shopping and eating options that aren't tourist traps. Best of all, the Japanese-inspired bathrooms keep me coming back.

Our 1st room was a suite #327 and it had a big fat spider crawling on the bed. Traumatized my kids so we requested for a different room even if the room was smaller. The room was also not clean, not what we expected from a Miyako property. The wifi didn’t work, it took 3 engineers to figure it out but still didn’t work. Our 2nd room was much cleaner and the Wifi worked but also a lot smaller. The staff are nice and very apologetic. My husband was frustrated with one of the front desk staff due to the language barrier, he felt that she wasn’t understanding what he was asking and they kept going in circles. They definitely do cater to Japanese clientele. Japanese toilets are great and EV car parking right up front was very convenient.

The hotel was clean, the bed was very comfortable, and the staff was kind. My wife and I stayed for 2 nights. Many good restaurants in the area, about a 15 minute drive to the beach and about an hour away from Dodgers Stadium with traffic. The only things we didn't like was the fridge was very small (compact fridge) and didn't cool well until I pulled out the fridge and adjusted the temperature, and the other thing was that the room did not automatically come with a microwave. There was a fee to have one installed. Other that than, we were happy with our stay.

The towels in my room bathroom were not clean. The towels were thrown over the rack in the shower. Although housekeeping brought new sets of towels quickly, just having dirty towels used by another guest was not acceptable.

I coming back from a long backpacking trip, and ended up finishing up early. So tried to check in earlier, and my room wasn’t ready yet. I opted in for their option to call me when my room was ready but didn’t get the call. Really wanted to shower so slept in my car, had to call them an hour after check in time to ask if it was ready, which it was. When you say you’re gonna do something the understood expectation is that you will do it. The room was beautiful, they had self warming and ergonomic toilets, loved the shower and bath combo and window. The room was mostly clean, some sticky spots on the walls and floor. The beds were more plush instead of supportive from what I expected from a Japanese run hotel, but other than that it had everything I needed.

The staff was incredibly courteous during checkout and fulfilled my special request for extra towels. I enjoyed having the small balcony to walk out on. The bed was covered with enough padding to be comfortable. One of the best surprises was the deep soaking tub. Im tall and have long legs anfni was able to comfortably sit in it. Parking was easy peasy and there are grocery storea and many places to eat nearby.

The room upgrade was wonderful! The suite was lovely. Loved the bidet! The breakfast buffet was really good. I like the Japanese options just as much as the traditional American breakfast options. Checking in in the middle of the night was easy and checkout was the same. I would definitely stay upon my return.
