The gentleman who checked me in was friendly, & knowledgeable.
All staff encountered was friendly.
Beds. Were. A. Maz. Ing. So comfortable. The room booked could have slept 6 easily.
Very nice facility overall. Close to the venue we were attending. Parking available at a price of $30 (w/tax)!

Our stay could not have been better from the time of check in to check out. The front desk personnel were helpful with answers to all questions concerning distance and how to get to our restaurant and any other matters we needed help with.

The staff was great and friendly but overall the room wasn’t. We were put in a room where the bathroom door didn’t close if you were also in the bathroom. The shower was great but again can’t close the door. The sheets weren’t clean (there was a coffee stain on our sheets when we first got to the room) and our room had no soap in it. We had to buy soap from the Walgreens nearby. We got the TV to work channels-wise but it kept glitching out so we couldn’t actually watch anything. The only reason we stayed was the location worked for us but we definitely thought about leaving and going somewhere else.

We were pleased with every aspect of our stay. All staff members were very friendly. Breakfasts were very good and varied, each day and day-to-day. We had a problem with our shower (the hot and cold were reversed) and it was fixed within an hour while we were at breakfast. We highly recommend the Hyatt Place hotel.

Nice, comfortable, quiet property. I liked the individual room climate control. The swimming pool though is about the size of my bathtub. I did a search on pools and landed on the Capitol Lakes Retirement community with a large lap pool 1 block from the Hyatt. Further inquiry revealed that I could purchase a day pass for $10 (though checking in was always problematic). Breakfast was appealing with good choices and well presented though the coffee and orange juice tasted watered down to me.

I walked out. It smelled like body odor in the two rooms I booked. Also didn’t smell clean at all and my daughter started sneezing immediately as she seemed allergic to the room. I noticed that the rooms were not spacious and furniture looked chipped and haggard. These rooms were nothing like my experience at other Hyatt Places. We walked out as the stench was so bad even though it was midnight. We found another place to stay. I really want my money back.

The tv wouldn’t work when watching it as the channels kept going out. We had a hard time controlling the temperature in the room. Everything else was very good!

The staff were not obliging. Some of them were rude. I told the desk, before I left for work, to get my room tidied up. I came back to a messy room.
One staff, a young woman, was really nice. I wanted to buy some fruit.but because they weren't selling any fruit at the hotel cafe she went and got some left over fruits from breakfast for me.
Other than her, staff service was below average

My one caution is that the onsight parking is difficult to navigate and the signs denoting the parking spaces for the hotel are hard to read unless you get very close. There are reserved spaces for other establishments or buildings in the ramp and that increases the confusion.

Great location very close to the Capitol and State Street. Breakfast was great every day and front desk was very helpful. Would definitely stay here again.

This hotel is literally the perfect location if you’re looking to stay in Madison! So close to many attractions. We walked to most everything we did. The staff were SUPER nice and accommodating. The rooms were clean, the bed was very comfortable, and they provide shampoo, conditioner, and shower gel. My kid enjoyed the pull-out bed from the couch but I would have liked to see an extra blanket (not just top sheet) available for that. We had to ask for it, but received it right away. We also enjoyed the indoor pool and daily breakfast, which slightly changed each morning. Parking is directly behind the hotel in a parking garage and there were plenty of spots available. I would absolutely stay here again.
