The pool area and the pool were great. The view over the bay added greatly to the stay. Breakfast and lunch could be purchased from the pool restaurant. The restaurant on the top floor had great food and service and a beautiful view of the bay.

We paid 25usd breakfast for each person, but in fact you can order only 12 euro continental breakfast:

Amazing place! Incredible view, very clean and friendly staff. Only little thing to be aware of is that the rooms are sound sensitive.
3.9
If we could rate this higher, we would! Everything about this place was perfect. The staff, the pool and restaurant, the room, the view. We could not have had a better stay!
3.9
We had a wonderful 3-night stay. The view was amazing! The front desk staff and the restaurant staff were super friendly and helpful. The room was clean, comfortable beds, great swimming pool. A little bit of a walk down to the beach and the restaurants on the water, but there are shops and smaller restaurants pretty close. Definitely recommend it, and will stay there again if I ever make it back.

This was a dream. Luxurious, comfortable and quiet with a friendly staff. The location gives gorgeous views while also being close to the town. Perfect!
3.9
The hotel has amazing views of the bay and their dining areas are great. Hotel is within walking distance of the local dining and shopping areas.

This is the second time for me to stay in this hotel, the last stay twenty years ago before the remodel. I liked the hotel then and like it even more now. What a beautiful place, with a lovely bar and restaurant, and a large pool where I could really get a swim. I will definitely stay here again.

We enjoyed a lot!
3.9
Lovely location and amazing view from our room. However the decor is pretty tited and it was fairly pricey. Although i do think that middle of july is peak season and therefore more expensive everywhere. Loved villefranche, it was so pretty and quaint.
3.9
We had 4 very pleasant nights in the family room with our 2 girls (age 6 and 8).
We loved the sea view, the pool area and pool house - very nice design and friendly family vibe.
We would love to come back!
3.9
The hotel is close to shopping, dining, and the Instituit de Francais. The people were nice
3.9
Needs better Wi-Fi. Better air conditioning. Better media choices. Better in room desk and work space facilities.
3.9
The walls are paper thin and we could hear footsteps and noise until 1AM each night - not a super restful spot.
3.9
The hotel has a beautiful view and the pool was lovely. The room was okay - the bed was comfortable but there were not many amenities in the room (no fridge, cups etc.) although I have read that those could be requested.
Given the heightened awareness of cleanliness during COVID, we did feel the room was not up to standard (when we arrived we found multiple handprints from makeup throughout the bathroom and on the provided toiletries which made us question if it was properly cleaned). As some other reviews mention, you can hear a lot from the other rooms but this was not frequent. We enjoyed our stay and likely the location but would recommend some additional attention to cleaning and room amenities.

Location is great, need to update the amenities particularly bathrooms and carpet on the floors and mostly staff, very unfriendly and unhelpful. If they don’t want to work with people then please find another job

The most wonderful hotel and best kept secret of the south of France! The views from the terrace and entrance lobby are simply stunning and the pool looked out over the bay towards Cap Ferrat.
The staff were so kind and helpful and generous with their time, whenever we asked a question. The service was wonderful and I loved it so much that I cried when we left!
3.9
Good location but the hotel is looking a bit tired and in need of a refurb. The A/C broke for a couple of days and it was sweltering. Service was ok but not outstanding. The hotel invited lots of non residents in to use the pool meaning it became very crowded with too many people for the sun beds available and the staff became stressed. Restaurant good.

Stayed here many times and will be back. It’s location the views and everything is perfect for us. Love this hotel only one negative was the price of drinks but you could buy them in the little supermarket just down the road to have in your room on the balcony with those stunning views.fab

Exceptional View! Warm welcome! We hope to return soon!

Initially a terrible room. Student accommodation😩

As a frequent visitor to the surrounding area I have, many times, passed this hotel while travelling either towards Monaco or in the opposite direction Nice. As it was my birthday, my husband and I decided to celebrate with a few days in the South of France and decided on this hotel. I was not disappointed. The reception area was immaculate and the staff very helpful and welcoming but turn 90 degrees and you have the most amazing view over the bay of Villefranche over to St Jean Cap Ferrat. We were on the floor 3 (3 floors below entrance). The room was very clean, could do with some updating regarding wardrobes and a kettle would have been a nice addition but to open the curtains to be met with a spectacular view was fantastic. We had breakfast in the hotel which had a good selection of juices, pasties, buns and bread plus amazing homemade banana bread and lemon cake. There were also the usual cold meats / cheese and scrambled eggs. The staff were welcoming. We sat on the terrace overlooking the bay with the pool area alongside was lovely. Villefranche is such a lovely place you get buses to Menton via Monaco / St jean cap ferrat and Nice. We didn't eat in the hotel at night but instead walked the small distance down to the port with a great selection of restaurants for every taste. We ended each night with a glass of delicious Rose wine on the roof terrace lounge looking out to the bay. Spectacular. I will definitely return to this hotel.

Friendly staff and great location. The pool was a beautiful place to relax and enjoy the wonderful view
3.9
Great view and quiet area. The hotel itself was old but clean. Staff was good, especially the restaurant on the ground floor's staff was great. Need to improve breakfast. Overall, it was nice for the price.
3.9
Great location and amazing views. Everything else is okay. Found the beds a little uncomfortable for me but for the money in comparison to the rest of the area thought it was overall decent value for money
3.9
We had a really lovely stay. The hotel is very comfortable with fabulous views! We had a double room on the 1st floor and it was perfect. Decent size and a really comfortable bed. Bathroom very nice too.
The pool area isn’t huge but it’s got lots of sun and some shade. Just recommend getting there early to get a sun lounger.
We had breakfast one morning there - it’s lovely by the pool and the homemade marmalade was to die for. But a bit expensive at €18 each.
We had cocktails on their rooftop lounge which were delicious but opted to eat in restaurants in town, as again, prices were really expensive. The town is a short 8 min walk away or so down the hill, with wonderful restaurants and shopping, and the beach and train station too. Overall a great stay and would stay there again!

Great location, good restaurant. Room was VERY loud.
3.9
It was a really pretty stay, view from the room was amazing and we received a great service throughout our stay.
3.9
Hotel nowhere near Nice- very misleading listing as it is listed as Nice when using Hotels.com search. Nothing in the area.
3.9
Spectacular view. Close to Nice, but far enough away to be peaceful.
3.9
Perfect location. Walking distance to shops, restaurants etc. Room had excellent view, staff was very helpful. However, no fridge, no access to tea/coffee in the room.
3.9
Enjoyable stay. Room clean. Bed comfortable. Excellent sea views from balcony. Interiors dated. Towels small. No kettle or drink making facilities. Breakfast disappointing for cost. Staff generally very friendly and amenable and willing to engage in English. Restaurant meals of excellent quality but expensive.
3.9
Bathtub would not drain while taking bath/shower (plugged up). Notified front desk. He couldn’t believe what I was telling him. Said a maintenance man would check tomorrow. No maintenance man arrived. Door to room would not close without slamming shut. They made a queen bed by pushing to singles together. Pool boy/waiter spoke every good English but was rude to wife when she order food at pool.
3.9
AMAZING views of Bay of Villefranche from most parts of excellent hotel. The reception staff, restaurant/breakfast buffet/bar and pool staff were very helpful, nice, and eager to try to communicate in English (its helpful to know a little French). Dinner with view of Bay of Villefranche on the outside roof terrace and looking at the views from the pool were breathtaking and memorable. Highly recommend!

Appy as Larry was you friend and humble narrator.

The hotel has everything from a great resturant, bar, pool and view of the Mediterranean Sea. The room we had did not come with a shower curtain or screen for the bath tub. It made no sense to have water go everywhere. The staff seemed like they preferred to think you were not there and always seemed put out if you had a question. There is a bus in front of the hotel which is very handy and goes to Nice or Monaco. The staff would not offer any information about the bus as if it wasn't there. Sorry to say...so French.
3.9
Absolutely fantastic hotel with excellent views. Very expensive for breakfast and evening meals so went out for local croissants and into Ville Franche to eat which was much more cost effective.
The room (seaview) was well worth the money and the location absolutely fantastic.
Generally the staff were dismissive, but a couple of the younger girls on reception were lovely and incredibly helpful.
If you can get over that, then I would definitely recommend this hotel.
Looking forward to going back.

I travel extensively around the world and see many hotel but this one was pretty disappointing. Rooms very small (I changed 3 rooms), bathroom doesn't even have shower curtains so when you take a shower water goes all over, bed take most of the space in the room, under the bed dust, staff fairly useless and when asked for a recommendation locally for restaurant the answer was... "mhhh, I dont really go out so we dont know"
The only positive is a beautiful view of the harbor. Price wise, very expensive for the quality and overall comfort (I spend $300-$1000 a night without any problem) but when you spend $270/night for this poor quality is not right.
We spent 4 days in Monaco at the Monaco Bay Resort which is a similar 4 star but it doesn't compare even the slightest. Don't be fooled by the photos.
3.9
Enjoyed our stay here. Rooms clean. Facilities good. Balcony lovely with sea view. Just slightly away from old town.
3.9
Nice staff the rooms were small but the deck is beautiful and the pool is very nice.
