Copacabana beach is just 300 away and around are many shops. The hotel itself is very outdated. Rooms looks like a 80s swimming pool (including the glare lights). Breakfast uninspired. Friendly staff at reception.

Great budget option! Clean, good air conditioning & hot water, good breakfast, nice staff, only 1 block up from center of Copa Beach!, surrounded by tons of shops & restaurants, & totally safe area. But note: rooms are very basic, so don't go looking for elegance. Again, great budget option (especially if you can get online for under $50 US). (Note: Ubers are very cheap, esp the motorcycle taxis to jump around; & don't miss nightly outdoor samba party at Pedra do Sal - about 20 mins away in Centro but worth it!)

Stayed in this hotel a few times, various rooms/floors. It's very basic and dated but my experiences have been positive overall. It's usually very clean but above all the staff are superb. Very helpful, very friendly...a winning team from the cleaners, porters to reception and cooks. Very pleased with the service and it makes up for what the building lacks (like charging/plug sockets in the rooms!) it is mostly good value, and the breakfast while simple..is good and fresh. Noise in some rooms is a little loud but I requested quieter rooms and had good success with that, comfortable sleep.

The hotel was great for the price. It's nothing fancy but everything worked super well. The front desk staff were extra friendly, the housekeepers a little less but not enough to bother us. The breakfast was decent and the location amazing!! Booking it again next time I go to Rio!

They didn’t clean my room for 3 days or give me toilet paper despite various request from their WhatsApp. Called for them to clean my room and no one answered. This is my 110th night in a hotel this year alone. I’ve never seen anything like this. Breakfast is a zoo

We found many parasites crawling on our bed. The place is dirty and nasty. Looks very nice in the pictures but it is a nasty hotel. We contact management they did not even apologized. It was a night mare staying at this hotel.

A very basic hotel. Enough comfort completely satisfied - and absolutely nothing fancy. But it’s also extremely well priced. The staff are amazing and the lobby and general areas are clean. Breakfast is more than adequate. Location is five stars. Literally a block from famous Copacabana Beach.

Great Stay and location… steps from Copacabana beach. Professional staff, Special Thanks to Martins, Concierge, for all his help, and the Reception Person on arrival Sept 19 and the same person( on check out Sept 23) Sorry could not remember your name. Large room, good linen & towels and toiletries. And the fabulous breakfast!!! Don’t forget to walk to Ipanema Beach- 2 klms. Beautiful différent landscape. Hoping to go back!!!! Bring from Canada it seemed like the natural option to stay here. I have to say that the hotel staff here is the most helpful of anywhere I’ve ever stayed. Especially Afonso at the front, he answered all my many questions and helped me with my tour of the city! The hotel was comfortable and in a great location.

The location is great, a block away from the beach and near by all stores. The hotel is a outdated and there were some issues with water in the rooms. There was no water to shower one day for a couple of hours.

Good location close to the beach in Copacabana. Good service for a budget hotel. Held our bags last day in Rio as we explored. Room is fine for exploring not fancy but clean and spacious. Excellent air conditioning.

This is a typical mid-level Brazilian hotel. I booked one of the more basic room categories and it was clean, comfortable, and cozy. AC was a trifle noisy but it worked. Plenty of hot water and functional Wifi. The breakfast was very good and varied and the staff (shout out for Ana and Martins) were friendly. The hotel is just a few blocks from the beach and a 10 minute walk to the Metro station which will connect you quickly and easily to most destinations in Rio. This was excellent value for the location and a worthwhile pick if you are staying in Rio and don't want to break the bank.

Beds were too short! One cockroach seen (and killed) in the room. Airconditioner made too much noice! Only cold water came out of the shower! Breakfast was very good though.

Not amazing, but it had everything it was supposed to. Very nice breakfast, good location (second street from the beach), room had plenty of space for 3 people and was clean and well kept. Excellent cost-benefit, will recommend to friends.

WE just stayed for 2 nights not enough for a full assessment but for the 2 days was okay. We like the hotel it was near the beach and the and accessible to every thing except the shopping mall.Stall at the front desk were very friendly and helpful. Thank you very much.

Nice hotel in the heart of Copacabana. It may not be a modern luxury hotel but its cozy and comfortable. Only a five minute walk to the beach. The staff was very friendly and their English was excellent. And their breakfasts were amazing.

Location - Excellent Breakfast - Excellent Room - Ok - old but well maintained WI-FI - work sporadically Staff - Nice people Bit noisy too. All in all worth the money if you compare to Rio's room rates.
