Lovely little place with a restaurant (diner-esque) on the premise. Only qualm was i enjoy my room cold and enjoy the white noise from the fan, and their air was not working only the heat. Otherwise everything was great.

Room was clean but out dated. Requested room with two queen beds and received a room with two full beds. Breakfast was not so good. They really need to evaluate the quality of the food. But thank you for offering.

The bed was hard as a rock. The breakfast that was included was a buffet with no orange juice. The server plopped on some stiff scrambled eggs. And said I guess they forgot to fill the beverage machine with orange juice. The toilet didn’t flush. And the water didn’t get warm. Not a good hotel stay.

It’s a roadside motel under an overpass so you will smell car fumes and hear highway traffic. The rooms are gross. The lock on the door is iffy. I checked out five minutes after I checked in.

The two nights we did stay there was very loud people talking and yelling next to my door. It went on for quite a while. And a restaurant that serves you a free breakfast, but is only open until 9am.

The hotel was old and their power outlet situation deflected that. They had everything in the room hooked to 2 separate power strips, that were filled so nothing else could work. The walls were thin so we heard other rooms televisions. For what you pay for the room you would expect more. Room service came daily which was nice. But if you take a hot shower for longer than 5 minutes your fire alarm will go off because of the steam And lack of fan in the room. The bed was surprisingly comfortable tho and we slept well. We did not get to experience the restaurant in the hotel, but it looked well kept. For the price i would expect a little More updated room, considering as for a little bit more you could stay somewhere fancier. Not a bad place to stay if you are only there to lay your head and go into the city (which was what we did). Cheapest decent place around so i cannot knock it for that. But with the price comparison you would think it would be nicer, i would either spend more and stay at a fancier place, or spend a little less for somewhere comparable without a restaurant because you are more likely to eat somewhere in town/city.

Good location. Clean, comfortable, affordable. A bit outdated. Excellent buffet breakfast included in attached restaurant which included eggs, French toast, pancakes, bacon and sausage.

Decrepit state of disrepair with many homeless people milling about. It was not a comfortable night of sleeping.

We were afraid to take our shoes off that's how dirty and stained the carpet appeared.

The beds did not smell clean, there was mold all over the place, and when I woke up in the morning, I had a sore throat and could hardly breathe. They obviously have not kept up-to-date with any of the amenities or the cleanliness of the property. This place should probably be shut down by the health department.

Very unclean and not as great stay had to find another hotel because stay was not comfortable. Towels weren’t clean tissue in the floor not somewhere I can stay

The hotel was not what I was expecting - the rooms definitely need to be updated. However the room was clean and the staff was helpful. The TV stations are very limited and the wifi was terrible. The best thing about the stay was the breakfast buffet. The food was delicious and there were numerous choices on what to choose.

The room was dirty pubic hairs in the tub and on the towels floor looks as if it has not been vacuum in a long time bed had hair on it

The room was nice. The reception by the staff was nice. I was a little concerned that the entry to the room was upstairs, outdoors, but it was fine.

Stay at this Inn a few days ago. It was better than i expected. The rooms very very clean. There were no unpleasant smells in the room. The breakfast was good not alot of options though. Generally very comfortable and the cost was reasonable.

The best staff ever! So helpful and kind. Donna helped us with our reservation and she went out of her way to make sure we were okay and happy. Great place to stay; awesome breakfast. Only issue was the wifi didnt work for us, but we didnt stay super long anyway. Awesome place to stay.

The hotel was dirty. The sheets had stains on them and the blanket had a hole in it. We asked for a new blanket and they weren't sure they could find it. All of the towels had stains on them, and it took 15 towels from the storage closet to find one without stains. I would not stay here again!

Only two items stood out as less than great: 1. A/C would turn on loudly, blow cold air on us, then turn off very quickly. We woke up a lot when it would happen. 2. Shower was nice and hot, but suddenly turned ice cold for about a minute. Shocking! Otherwise good experience, including breakfast.

The location and breakfast are pretty good. The hotel and rooms however are very dated. You can sort of see some of the upgrades in the rooms but they really MUST change the carpeting…disgusting!

The property was old and in need of renovation and repair. That said, it was clean,he people pleasant and very helpful. IT was located very conveinently for our purposes and the price was right.

Clean and quiet. Microwave, fridge and clock in room were a big plus. Restaurant on site and buffet breakfast included with room. Two issues: the toilet was child sized - difficult for older person with bad knees. Also WiFi was iffy at best. For a one night stopover it was all just fine.

I have been in worse. The room was fairly decent. Outdated for sure. def. needed to keep shoes on at all times. Bathroom could have been cleaner. But over all it was convenient. Breakfast was awesome!!!

We checked in on a Thursday evening to stay until the following Tuesday morning. The man who checked us in was fine. However, the room was a little dirty. That wasn’t the problem. The problem was that on Saturday, the West Gate Inn Nyack lost AC. When I asked the front desk staff, they said there was nothing they could do and it should come back on soon. We went out Sunday, came back at around 6 PM, and the AC was still not on. When we asked the front desk, they said they were trying to be empathetic but they were hot too and every guest was upset but management said they couldn’t do anything. They told us to check out and ask our third party for a refund. Now that the third party reached out to them, they’re not going to give us one. I’m not one to write online reviews, but this was bad enough to warrant one.

Very outdated establishment.

Firstly, kudos to the nice young lady that checked us in, she should be considered for a raise or seek employment with a hotel worthy of her talents and kindness. The room was extremely dated, buckling, old red carpet, phone didn’t work (tried to call front desk, had to use my cell), only working outlet in the room was on one side of the bed. After 10 hour drive, just wanted hot shower and sleep. Shower temperature goes back and forth from ice cold to scalding hot. Our tub didn’t drain, by the time I was done, was standing in 5 inches of water. The towels were stained with holes. Reported the issues to the front desk, an older woman who was dismissive, said she would have some one come and fix. (we declined a room change, my husband has mobility issues and changing rooms would have been an undertaking). We stayed the second night, nothing fixed. Had to wait between showers in the morning for all of the water to drain out of the tub. We couldn’t wait to get out of there. Don’t stay here, spend the extra $30-$50 per night to stay somewhere that is worthy of hosting guests.

This is the most outdated motel ever. The room was stunk, there was deep marroon carpet on the floor that was as old as me, the door to the outside has no extra security to lock it. Breakfast was cold. Will not stay there again or recommend it
