No hot water, carpets are nasty, no one to service rooms, restaurants unavailable except by reservation and then food was gross. We didnt get the room we requested for our anniversary. Ive stayed here many times but this time might be my last. Just horrible

Because it is an old property, the bathroom was very small. That was understandable. It was wonderful that with 3 adults in the room there were 3 chairs.

The Inn was just what we expected. We were there when it was not very busy.

This was our first time at Green Park Inn. We loved the ambiance. The food in The Divide was amazing and Grant in the bar was delightful. Definitely a recommended destination.

It was good. Restful. I slept good. Think I was alone on the third floor.

This property was very run down. Cobwebs in the room and hallway had items that needed to be cleaned up. Smelled very musty. Several places need repairs done. It is an older property and floors went downhill and also slanted on the side of the room. It was very noticable when walking. Place was probably very nice at one time but is in great need of renovations abd reoairs.. On the plus side, the breakfast was very good and the person serving was very pleasant and helpful. I was not surprised when we checked out the person at the front desk didnt ask how our stay was. At one time I am sure it was lovely so was sad to see how run down it was

This location is a historic inn. It has a lot of character inside. The only suggestion I would have is to work on the outside of the building a bit.

A little worn jewel

It was very nice and historic. The service was great especially Grant. Unfortunately, the food was not the best. The burger was under cooked, the martini was way too strong, the waffle was cold and the bacon was rubbery. With the exception of the food, it’s a beautiful place

So… it’s a historic property, if sleek and modern is your style then this may not be the place for you. That being said room was spacious, updated bathroom. Rooms were quiet. Elevator is old and quirky, we chose to use the stairs. Staff if great!!! We greatly enjoyed our stay. Music in the evenings in the lobby area was a nice touch.

A step back in time. Lovely hotel.

This property was dirty, dated and moldy. There was grime and dirt on the doors entering the lobby and white dog hair on the carpet throughout our stay. The bar and eating area was dark and dingy with sticky surface areas. The food was limited and bland. The rooms were dirty with mold and spider webs around the window sills. The furniture was scratched and the upholstery torn. The porch was moldy and had rotted wood. The bathrooms were dated with wall paper peeling off and the tile was dirty. The pool was filled in with dirt and the grounds were overgrown and unkept. We booked a 4 star hotel but instead got a neglected version of the Overlook Hotel in the movie the Shining complete with the dark and infamous “Red Room” to sleep in. The owners clearly have neglected this property and should stop advertising it as anything but a run down shamble that has long passed its heyday,

Like the History of the place. Quiet

Property is old. Needs much improvement. Service is lacking. In room coffee did not work. Breakfast offering is not accommodating.

The inn was a little shabby. Door jams needed cleaning & wallpaper peeling at some seams. . However the bed was comfortable & the dinner at the grill was excellent

The set down breakfast provided is really good but they need more than one waitress. It’s a very quiet and peaceful place. Rooms need a mini refrigerator to store leftovers and desserts purchased in town.

Excellent choice!

Staff was great. The property itself is worn down and bleak. The door locks did not work except for the door handle itself. The carpets definitely need cleaning. One of the walls in the room was a mirror that covered the entire wall- kind of creepy. The restaurants were open very limited hours and very limited menus - I understand being understaffed but then don't advertise having dining onsite. The pictures on Expedia do not match what you see when you get there. We were a bit disappointed in the whole experience there.

We had a nice, relaxing wkend stay at the G.P. Inn. Everyone was friendly, & accommodating. The included breakfast was delicious! We thoroughly enjoyed listening to the Charlie Ellis Trio on Sat pm. It was apparent that they had quite the following of fans every Sat evening. He knew most guest, by name, as they came in to listen to him play.
The only negatives were the loud banging of the pipes in our room every morning. And that there was a spider that came down from the ceiling, on a long string, over the bed. He was literally face to face with my wife. He was quickly apprehended & flushed.🕷️❌
Overall it was a nice stay in an older Inn.

Green Park Inn was a perfect place for convenience and comfort. It is located right opposite the pathway to the Blowing Rock lookout, so location wise this place is awesome.

Stayed at the Green Park Inn on a recent trip to Blowing Rock. The hotel is a historical property so it's a little dated but the rooms were spacious and clean. The breakfasts were cook to order and there is a small restaurant / bar on site too. Good place for the money . I'd go back next time I'm in Blowing Rock.

If you like historical sites you can’t go wrong here. Breakfast was delicious and staff were all friendly. I highly recommend staying here if you don’t mind antique. It was close to Grandfather mountain to go on hikes.

Elevator a tad shakey

The Green Park Inn is a lovely place to stay. The music on the veranda is very relaxing. The staff is wonderful and could not have been happier to attend my needs. The only downside, which I failed to mention to the management, was that my room had a window air conditioner, that was basically covered in mold. Because of the outdoor heat, I just wiped it down and turned it on.

We checked out after about 2 hours. Everything in the room was quite old and needed updating. We ran the water for a good 5 minutes and it was still only slightly warm. The musty/mildrew smell causing sore throat and eye irritation was the final reason for leaving.

This hotel is a just out of the way gem. A historic hotel from the 1800s still in operation. It goes without saying a wood structure that old is going to have a high maintenance workload. The age of the hotel also gives it an amazing vibe. It is beautifully decorated with antique furnishings. The staff are excellent, friendly and accommodating. The two restaurants are very good, the Burger I got in the Divide was one of the best I’ve had anywhere. The bartender was a very interesting and engaging gentleman that you don’t run across often. The bar was lightly populated when I went and was ghostly in a tangible hanging in the air kind of way. The hotel is a nice reprieve from the compact and crowded downtown and is truly rooted in the real local Appalachian culture. A historic treasure.

I love how unique our experience was from checking in reading the adorable welcome note (from the dog), to the nice size room and the history inside is fabulous. We loved our bartender, Parker, at the tavern inside. The food, drinks and atmosphere were fantastic!

Nice & friendly staff, but is old & in need of repairs.

Nice historical site. But the property needs more upkeep and repair. Room was clean but showing much age. Worth a stay at least once. But not likely to return.

It was nice to stay in a classic vintage accommodation. You can feel the past, in a good way! Breakfast and service were very nice. Our room with a balcony overlooking the garden was very comfortable and it was lovely to sit outside in the morning.

Quaint traditional inn that is located near the Blowing Rock and has easy access to the downtown area.

Overall above average - quaint in its own right.
Carpet on room very old and bed/pillows simply too firm.

This place has seen better days. The rooms need a major renovation. Some of the staff were very helpful and nice.
