Terrible front desk experience with “Malvin” the night I arrived. Svetlana however made up for it by giving me a quieter room on the top floor. No one told me I had to request room service. At over $300 x night, you would think it’s done….

Hotel is in a decent area. Room was average. Shower was built in a way that caused water to be all over the floor. Breakfast was below average. Biggest issue was the fact that i requested my room to be serviced daily and that didnt hapoen despite asking 3 separate times.

The room was good overall, they should have filled up the shower gel, shampoo, hair conditioner, they were empty but I always brought my own personal stuff, and I forget to tell the front desk. I stayed for two nights, my next door came at 3am in the morning, I heard the noise and smelled the cooking in the middle of sleeping. Woke up at 3am for two nights stayed.

Hotel location was close enough to campus, plenty of parking space and gated which was great and safe. Cleanliness was lacking all across my designated room, restroom was not cleaned neither was the kitchen. I have stayed here before with a much better experience, I hope it was only a mishap because the hotel has much potential.

Nice place to stay in Shadyside. Our only complaint was the unfriendly attitude of front desk staff when we arrived. They may have been having a bad day but they seemed curt, really didn't seem to care. At check out we spoke with a very friendly person at the front desk.

Stayed in Pittsburgh for family trip 3 nights. The hotel itself is pretty average. Reception was friendly. The pool was a bit cold and not very clean. The hotel is right across from a hospital so we heard ambulances and a lot of road noise. The breakfast was not great (but it's few so I guess can't complain too much). Parking was expensive. Furnishings in the room itself were a bit run down. Overall it wasn't a bad place for the price we paid but would probably not stay again.

Another great stay in a fantastic King room at Hyatt Place in the Bloomfield/Shadyside neighborhood. The staff was amazingly friendly and made me feel welcome. The breakfast buffet, 24 hour front desk and convenience store made me feel like I was staying with people who cared about me. The hotel was also a 20 minute walk to the restaurants and shops in which I had interest. I definitely plan on visiting Pittsburgh again and will stay at the Hyatt Place. It is quickly becoming my favorite place to stay.

I like the pool and the breakfast was nice. My room wasn’t as clean as it should be. A lot of hair everywhere in the bathroom shower and in the sink. I think pay $24 a night for parking is a bit ridiculous. When your a guest paying about $300 for a room. It was a okay experience. But definitely won’t stay here again. Much better places for the same amount of money.

The front desk staff was friendly and informative. Breakfast changed daily, which was a pleasant surprise. Self-parking in the hotel lot is easy and convenient. The location is ideal - within easy driving distance of most Pittsburgh universities and attractions.

Travelled with my husband and our 4 children. Upon arrival our room was not cleaned properly. I.e. dirty dishes in dishwasher floor and couch not vacuumed. It took less than 10 minutes for management to send housekeeping. I pointed out the issues and they got right to it. Everyone was polite and professional our entire stay. The breakfast buffet was convenient since traveling with children. My family loves the pool and I personally loved the cleanliness of it. I would return.

Great location. Great staff. Overall, great property but our room had some quirky things needing attention--such as the dishwasher had clean dishes but had not been unloaded, the bathroom door kept sliding open, and the closet was a disaster with the ironing board falling out when we opened the door. The little details matter, and the Hyatt did a great job on all BUT the little details.

Very nice property. Lights in the entranceway in our room were out and there was only one coffee mug in our room. We just got cups from thebmain lobby area so no big deal.

The woman at check in was very kind and explained the property and local area very well! A little bummed parking was $24, but oh well. The hotel felt modern and clean. When I reached my room, the door was actually open, so I was a little nervous at first. I checked the room and made sure no one else was inside.. I figured it must have been an error with housekeeping. I’m sure I could’ve gone to the front desk and asked for a new room, but I didn’t feel it was necessary. The room was extremely well-equipped with a kitchenette, the bed was comfy, the AC worked well. Roomy, lots of towels. When I showered, I realized there was no shampoo or conditioner in the wall pumps.. I could’ve called the desk, but was in the shower when I noticed, so I just dealt with it. I was a little disappointed that the hotel didn’t provide lotion or makeup wipes in the bathroom, but again, maybe housekeeping never made it to the room to restock. I started to wonder if the open door was evidence housekeeping never made it back or something. Breakfast began at 6:30. I walked downstairs at 6:25 and it looked like quite the feast! There were a few guests eating breakfast already, so I planned on getting some food, but a staff member from the kitchen came over and told me, “Breakfast doesn’t start until 6:30.” I was in a rush, so I left. All in all, the hotel was pleasant and worth the cost. I would absolutely stay again because I think these small items were one-offs.

The hotel was a good place to stay. Central location so didn't have to travel far for things. The room was fairly clean, but there was a mark on one of the sheets and some random hairs on the towels. The bed was really comfy and I slept well. The shower was nice, but the shower head was a bit weird. Overall enjoyable experience. Would stay there again.

A very comfortable hotel. The staff was nice. The room was very spacious, updated and clean. Breakfast was better than average, just not a fan of dry eggs and paper thin bacon. The yogurt on the other hand, was great. The only real drawback was the $24 per day parking fee.

The location is close to CMU and Pitts, the parking lot is convenience, free breakfast is okay. Hyatt house is fitting for travel with pets or really need to cooking simple meals. Otherwise, will not recommend it.

We stayed for one night and the room was a suite with fully equipped kitchen with microwave, dishwasher and electric stove. Somehow in the room description and photos on the website, it was not clear that the room has these amenities. The morning breakfast was included and had a variety of options including vegetarian options.

It was a nice building it was average swing clean my shower room kind of made me thought somebody had took a shower because it was water in my shower before I got there also I was there for 3 days nobody ever offered me extra towels or do I need my sheets changed the best thing was the young lady that was at the bar working Friday night she helped me renew some things for my credit card because the card I gave the lady told me that I didn't have enough money on it to put on hold for room damage I did think that was necessary due to the fact that I had to spit $700 for two nights for $700 for two nights $50 shouldn't have matter not at 10:30 at night she should have let me went to my room and wrestling and got up in the morning and handle that but she wouldn't let me do that she told me if I didn't have the dollars I couldn't stay there tonight even though my rooms was paid for second thing I'm going to pay you all that money and then got to pay for parking too that's that's crazy that is so freaking crazy I never been in a hotel that I paid $300 a night plus got to pay for parking $25 a night that's a big rip off
