Walking distance to great restaurants and Times Square. Staff were friendly. TV allows streaming from your own Netflix / Disney or other account which is nice.

Great hotel. Breakfast buffet is excellent, and the location is amazing if you’re going to Broadway shows! Will return to this hotel

It was a short stay. The staff was friendly and kind. The room was very clean.

Great location. Room was ready before the 4 pm checkin time. 😃. Everything was very clean. Best buffet breakfast at a hotel, ever. My only complaint was that room / elevator cards are easily ruined. We had to have ours reprogrammed 2x in one day.

It’s my pleasure to mention Natalia from the front desk. My wife and I were treated very well by Natalia

We had a great stay at the Riu Times Square New York! The room was clean and up to date, staff was very friendly and helpful and the breakfast was great! Will definitely stay there again!!

Room was way too small for 5 people. It was wall to wall beds (not kidding) and no room to move around at all.

Really lovely hotel. Right in the heart of Times Square but close to all areas you’d need to explore. Breakfast was good but very busy however it was well organised. Main frustration was that the USB chargers in the room stopped working for some reason but Overall would recommend.

I travel to NYC several times a year with friends. Every stay at the RIU Plaza has been wonderful. The staff is so friendly and welcoming and check in is always quick and efficient. The rooms are spotlessly clean and very comfortable. The breakfast buffet is extraordinary and very much appreciated. Overall great experience.

For the cost of hotel I would expect tea/coffee making facilities in the room. Also water to be supplied like the first night.
Hotel is in a great location and staff very helpful and friendly.

This hotel is located on restaurant way. It is very convenient to all the best restaurants. Check in was a breeze. David assisted us with our luggage’s and garment bags from the time we pulled in front of the hotel. Breakfast buffet though is crowded is very organized. The room is very tiny. The bathroom has silhouette glass not ideal for family with grown up kids unless you have extra money to book them in a separate room. The lobby is inviting and smells good. I scored it really low because of the bad experience checking out I requested for a help checking because we have a lot of luggages, but no one came in our room. My wife and son struggled while I walked 6 blocks to get our car. Plus there is no space to park in front of the hotel to load our things compared to when we checked in. I also feel bad with the cleaning staff. I only saw one cleaning staff working the 8th floor. When we got back in our room at 1 pm, she was still 5 rooms away from our room cleaning I just requested for new set of towels and tipped her. She was. Very grateful

It was an excellent stay. If I had to choose something that wasn’t too great it would be the bathroom. If you turned on the lights everyone in the room could see your silhouette because the bathroom walls are frosted glass

So, the bad: A/C was inop when we arrived. They sent facilities to repair promptly which they did. Total time:30 mins. Asked for extra blankets (A/C issue) and they delivered promptly, but the blanket was bleach stained. Was replaced promptly (10 mins).
One Elevator was inop. Elevators are finicky but work. Crowded.
Hallways look like a hospital. Not attractive but ok.
Housekeeping was great.
Front desk was great.
In all, a good, not great, hotel. Excellent value and excellent location. Restaurants on 46th street are wonderful. French, dim sum, steak house, all are great. Close to theaters, close to train, close to Central Park.

Most of the room did not work properly. No customer service. Claimed they will hold my deposit for 2 weeks and blamed it on the banks. I will never go back

Good location although it would be helpful if website gave clearer direction (cross streets) to hotel and distances from sites. Near many restaurants. Complimentary breakfast was just ok.

We were completely delighted by this hotel in every way for our family vacation.

The parking is a problem for us. Having to walk 3 blocks to park our car is not something I had intended. And apparently if we had our ticket validated we would have gotten discounted but I was never told this. Won’t be staying here again. The eggs and toast I had are not worth the aggravation of arrival and departure.

Enjoyed the contemporary look and feel of the lobby and rooms. Some things weren’t so good, including the temperature in the room, certain elevators not working and some food at the buffet very dried out.

We had a great corner room on the 23rd floor with 3 windows, just wow, yes the rooms are quite small but have almost everything you need, I like a cup of tea first thing so took a wee travel kettle. Breakfast is busy but manage very well. All staff were polite and work very hard. Thank you Riu.

We loved our 9 day stay at the Riu Plaza Hotel Times Square!!

Booked a few days before trip, seeing that I could adjust the stay by 3/16/24. The morning of 3/16 I wanted to switch to 2 rooms instead of family suite, but when I called hotels.com they said I couldn’t make changes because 12:01 AM was the cutoff. That was extremely aggravating, but I just left it as the family suite. That time was really misleading! When we arrived the room was tiny, not big enough for a family of 5 people.(only 1 night was for 5) The double beds were pushed up next to each other touching and the couch was right next to that. There was nowhere to walk or move around the room. We ended up splitting up and adding another room, so we ended up paying way more than if we had just got 2 rooms. We also over paid because it was less if we had booked directly through the hotel. That 3rd night I think it was almost $800 total….not worth it for what we got. We didn’t make use of the breakfast. The front desk people were incredibly rude and unhelpful. Each time I called hotels.com or hotel directly people were unhelpful and not friendly. Some of their English was also not good and they didn’t seem to understand what I was asking them. It made our stay in NYC very stressful and frustrating. I actually think we need to get reimbursed some of what we paid. We feel we were ripped off.

Great cleanliness and customer service however shower in room leaked the last 2 days of my stay. Room was a bit noisy. I could hear walking and chair being dragged in upstairs room. I could also hear all the cars and sirens.

Although room appeared clean, bed sheets, throw pillows were all dirtty and stained. Found several black bugs on bed- immediately stripped bed to sanitize and sanitized the entire room.

Very worn down considering it’s not a particularly old hotel. The bed was fantastic though.
