Great stay and I enjoy the breakfast each morning.

We had such a lovely stay. Staff was incredibly friendly and hard working. The woman at the front desk upon check-in was very helpful with our need for handicapped access. The breakfast was DELICIOUS and the breakfast attendants kept everything filled and so clean. Overall a great experience

Very neat and comfortable hotel. It is right next to a park and also there are some good restaurants nearby. Plenty of parking. My kids enjoyed the pool.

Service was excellent & very clean. Afternoon tea with cookies was a nice touch. Free hot breakfast included was a great way to start our day!

We stayed for one night for a dr appt. We were pleased with everything. It was clean place all the way around. Pool was great. Breakfast was great. If I coule think of one thing I didnt like it was the blankets were very thin. Will def stay here again!

We would like to thank the English Inn for their hospitality. It was a very relaxing and peaceful stay. The amenities and breakfast were very nice. We will definitely love to return on our next trip.

The English Inn in Charlottesville Virginia is so nice! Super clean and friendly staff, the atmosphere is so nice. There is an indoor pool which is also very clean and the free breakfast buffet is excellent! Definitely recommend the English Inn!

This was a super cute place to stay after we drove through Shenandoah park. The room was clean and comfortable, and the free breakfast included a whole hot spread of eggs, sausages, pancakes, oatmeal, fruit, cereal, coffee, and more. It was easy walking distance from some tasty dinner spots as well.

I was pleased with my stay. My room was very clean, as was the rest of the place. The hot buffet breakfast was good, and the coffee was great. Everyone was nice, parking was easy and the location worked well for me. I'll stay again for sure.

Pool was nice. Room was big with full size refrigerator. Breakfast was good. Only complaint is got extra blanket for son and it was not the best.

The room was great. The bathroom was large and looked new. The bed was a little firm. We had a 1-bedroom suite, and the living room was huge and wonderful. I gave 4 stars because the blackout curtains in the bedroom did not close all the way, so the room was not very dark. It would also be nice to have additional hooks for towels and bathrobes near the shower. The price was great. We will stay here again.

Had to wait 5-10 minutes at check-in for a staff member to show up, and then the staff member was not very polite/friendly. Check-out staff was much friendlier.

Our stay at English Inn was amazing! This is the most unique hotel I’ve ever stayed in. The gentleman at the front desk was super nice and made me feel welcomed. Our room was within a courtyard that was well kept and lovely. Our room was nice! They offer a breakfast buffet in the mornings that is very tasty. Overall, we would definitely stay here again.

Certainly not a 4 star hotel but truthfully an exceptional value and very convenient location just 6 minutes from campus. Very nice lobby area to sit.

When we first drove up, I thought uh-oh. Property was tired and dated and expectations were low. But it turned out to be a nice one- night stay. Bed was comfortable, great shower, clean, good breakfast, free cookies and tea at check-in. Very affordable. Thank you for doing your best at a property that sorely needs an update.

We were in town for one night and chose this hotel due to the charm and European style. Price was decent as well! We had an appointment at 1pm and the front desk allowed us to stay until noon, which was so appreciated! Loved the tea and cookies in the lobby!

Initially I tried to make a reservation through the hotel's website, but no rooms were available. I discovered that rooms were available through hotels.com. Given that I planned to take my dog with me, I checked the hotel's pet policy. On the hotel's website, I found the following statement in fine print: "Pets Service animals exempt from fees Pets are allowed for an extra charge of USD 65.00 per pet, per week" Given the language stated in your website's policy, I assumed that I would only have to pay a pet fee of $10 for a one-night stay. I was honest at check-in that my dog is not a service animal. However, I was told that I would have to pay a fee of $65 for the one night stay. Upon check-out, I raised the issue at the desk. The clerk said the $65 pet fee is actually per "reservation," not per week. Further, she said the hotel cannot be accountable for the language posted on the hotels.com website. I have never paid more than a $25 pet fee for a one-night stay at a hotel. My dog is a 7-year old, well-behaved therapy animal. We were only in the hotel for about 12 hours. Needless to say, I will not stay at English Inn again. I plan to file a complaint with the hotel manager, and I will not take for granted the accuracy of the information posted on hotels.com.

Afternoon high tea and the lit fire place were nice welcoming touches. Facility is newly refurbished, very comfortable beds. Well done breakfast and such nice staff!

While this is definitely a budget hotel, it is really good value. Easy check-in, clean and spacious room, great breakfast all combine to make this a good choice for budget conscious travelers.

We enjoyed our stay here. It was a great room and the breakfast was yummy. We did find that they charge $65 for dogs, which we were surprised at. Sadly, that's too costly for us for any future visits.
