When we arrived at the hotel they did not have our booking in their system and looked very surprised to see anyone there. We were the only guests at the entire hotel, but they still did not have a room available for us at 3.30pm when we arrived. We got our room at 4.30pm but was told we should wait 1 hour with using the private pool as they had just put in the chlorine. The rooms are a bit messy and dusty. We actually went there to look for a potential wedding venue, the people we were supposed to meet with never showed up - despite of them confirming via email that we had a booking and that they would meet us. Quite a bad experience and definitely not a place I would entrust to hold a +20k USD wedding. Plus, the hotel is in the middle of no where.

We had an excellent stay at the property. Amazing, quiet villa. Friendly staff who were extremely helpful. The food was delicious at the restaurant. The hotel driver, Made, drove us to wherever we needed to go and gave us a great tour of the area, so definitely ask for him at reception if you need to travel around!

Our stay in Alami was superb. Tucked deep in the rice padi fields, the location of the stay was about two hours drive away (consider traffic and all) from the hustle and bustle of the touristy districts of Seminyak, Kuta etc. And that's why it makes it perfect if you're looking to have a relaxing peace of mind and stay, and privacy. We arrived late in the evening at 10pm, but hospitality service from the team led by Desi was top notch welcoming us and the restaurant was quick to prep us sumptuous late dinner. The villa was well designed, balancing between contemporary and vernacular details. Rooms were clean, spacious and well maintained. You may experience some bugs - but considering we are out in the padi field, you should be expecting nature's calls and visits. Communication was made easy with the tablet provided - all breakfast/in room dining/resort & room info can be found in the tablet, and communication was made through WhatsApp. There are couple of activities i.e bikes for rent at 90k for a day to ride through the local villages and down to the beach. If you don't intend to move about in Bali and doing a low key vacation, Alami is highly recommended. Overall, we enjoyed our stay, only wish that we could stay longer.

The villa and everything is definitely a wow. That’s all the upsides. Staffs are great, they try their best to help you. They give you a coconut as a welcome drink. Awesome! Lots of activities available if you book with hotel. During the day it’s gorgesous, but a bit problematic for me at night. I should’ve thought about this with the open air setting, it comes a many insects. A price to pay if you want to enjoy a Balinese villa, there’s also bats flying under the roof and leaving in a second. It’s almost impossible to get around unless you hire hotel contract drivers. Internet is spotty. Kitchenette is not very well cleaned. Not enough hot water so cannot take a bath at the beautiful bathroom tub. The hot water runs cold after a few mins.

We have just had the most wonderful week here. The staff are all wonderful and went out of their way to make us feel at home. The villas are even more stunning than what you see in the photos. The atmosphere is magical. uninterrupted views of rice fields and oran beyond that. Of course having you r very own infinity pool makes the new even better. We are a family of 5 who stayed in the 3 bedroom villa. Bedrooms are beautiful and probably have the nicest bathrooms i have ever seen. The area is very quiet which is exactly what we wanted. Our lovely driver Puta took us to ubud for a day and we were so happy to come come to alma as Ubud is crazy busy. the lovely chefs Intan and Giri did a private cooking class for us and the staff made it so special. A special thanks to Sugi who took care of all of our needs. and also to surya, anti and Yoga for all the fresh coconuts, and food they brought to our villa.DwI dressed us in local costumes and went out of her way to take some personal photos for us. The kids did kite making, while we had lots of strong great massage. We were so sad leaving, all of the staff came out to say goodbye to us and even when we arrived after a long tiring trip to bid the staff were there to welcome us with face towels etc. the staff are genuine and genuinely happy to see that we are having a good time. This is my favourite place in bali and we will come back here. If you want rest, peace and quiet this is the perfect place.
