The Henderson Resort and spa is a beautiful place. The service is first class. The room was so pretty and the bed was comfortable. We had a king room with gulf view but there was quite a bit of road noise, construction and tour helicopters that made sitting on our balcony less than relaxing.
We sat by the adult pool for awhile but the water was too cool for me. The grounds are meticulously kept.
We walked on the beach several times. It was a 15 minute walk from our room (a bit of a maze to get there)
We ordered room service and used the pool bar and breakfast restaurant while we were there. The food was good but pricey. We were going to try the spa but again it seemed a bit overpriced for Destin.
Destin was not what we were hoping. Such a gorgeous coastline that has been spoiled by over development. Chain stores and restaurants aren't what we are looking for in a vacation destination. That's why Orlando doesn't top our list of Florida hot spots.
We won't be coming back, but if a busy tourist town is your idea of fun, the Henderson Resort is a lovely place to stay.

Beautiful property and facilities! The staff were all friendly but seemed new and confused some of the time. The daily resort fee is too expensive if you don’t participate in the offered classes, etc. Overall, we had a great stay.

Sadly the night I arrived the smoke detector started chirping at 312am. It was fixed within an hour thankfully.

The hotel facilities are excellent and beautiful but they are way understaffed at the restaurants. When we checked in, the room was not ready when it was supposed to be. No apologies or here go get a free drink. The credit card machine kept rejecting my card on check-in and I told them it wasn’t my cards, it was on their end. They told me I needed to call my bank but I could tell it was on their end as there was plenty of credit on those cards and the attempted charge was not even registering. It was only when another guest checking in had the exact same issue that they realized it was on their end but a stressful 10 minutes and again no apology. The staffing at restaurant is biggest issue - seems like they were not ready for prime time.

The room wasn't as pristine as I had expected for the price. We had a hole on one side of one of the beds and that was unfortunate. One phone in the room didn't work and you couldn't call down to the staff. Room service was too expensive, but that's normal.

Would have given a 5 star rating but was surprised and disappointed that was asked to pay $50 extra if I wanted a 2 hour late checkout. They did allow a 1 hour delay free

Hotel is absolutely beautiful. The only thing that needs improvement would be the wait staff in the restaurant Primrose. Specifically the morning breakfast waitresses. I still left gratuity only because I’m a good person.

This is one of our favorite place to stay we go several times a year. This particular trip was in January and my husband surprised me for my birthday with a stay at Henderson Resort. When the receptionist found out it was my birthday, she had a bottle of champagne and two flutes delivered to our room. Just a courtesy. So very kind! They have something new since our last stay, there is now a Starbucks machine that will make you a fresh coffee or a chai latte in no time for no additional charge! The rooms are beautiful with a beach-y look , very comfortable bed and temperature control.

Two nights in a row we could not sleep because of noisy neighbors! I was never told about the resort fee per night only the valet parking! When I got the bill it was shocking because I live on a budget and I could afford as much as I was charged! I thought the only extra

Bathroom is great to have a hot bath and quite impressive. Room services dinning is awesome. The servers from restaurants are soooo kind and attentive. I love the servers. They deserve better, i think. However, making a reservation for a premium view at high price, i got a room on 2 floor. Besides, couldnt see ANYTHING AT NIGHT AT BALCONY. THERE WAS NO LAMP OR LIGHTS OUTSIDE AT ALL. HOW COME THIS ROOM OF VIEW IS PREMIUM? I DONT KNOW. the staff at front desk BERRY? She is not that much willingfully help guests.

The staff at the property was very nice the property was very clean and nice with good access to the beach. The rooms were nice but the beds were a bit to hard and the food was extremely overpriced for what you got.

We stayed over Xmas so experience may be atypical. Room very comfortable and well appointed. Room and public areas were immaculate. All staff very friendly and helpful. Beach is a short walk but it was a little chilly to enjoy. Be aware of $45/day resort fee (that did not cover the Spa which charged typical resort prices) and $25/day self-parking fee in a lot that half-flooded when it rained. However, overall this was a pleasant and special holiday experience. We would return if in the area.

Great property. The staff was friendly and helpful. Rooms were immaculate. View was incredible of the Gulf. Resort fees and parking was a bit much, but you pay for great accommodations.

The Henderson Beach Resort was wonderful. It is currently decorated so beautifully for Christmas. Every amenity was perfect. We loved the outdoor fire pit, the heated pools and hot tub. We had a beautiful view of the gulf from our balcony. We only live about 1.5 hours away and can’t wait to visit again!!

From the moment I checked in, the service was very impressive. Nice people who really seemed to care. Eva in room service was lovely and Sergey at the pool bar both really made and effort and helped make the experience amazing ! Looking forward to going back soon!!! Front desk people were very friendly also.

The food is lackluster at best and extremely expensive. The beach is quite a ways away. You have to leave the property and cross the street to get there. The cocktails were not good for a very small amount you’re charged 15$ each. The vallet guys were extremely nice.. the room was nice. Front desk was just ok. Dirty glasses setting around by the elevator for 3 days until I mentioned it. For the price you pay I just expected better.
