Staff was nice upon arrival. Room was clean. Shower was nice.

The room and bathroom were great only issue is the room heats up a LOT they provide a fan but the room was so hot even with the window open, but it was unusually hot for that time of the year

Was contacted for checkin and warmly greeted.
Accommodation consisted of en-suite room.
Room was clean and simple. Wifi included which was good for work.
Ensuite was dated and could do with a revamp or silicon reapplied. When shower is in use the whole bathroom got wet - a shower screen would be valuable.
I would stay again if visiting one night.

Helpful to check in and there is a bus stop right outside to get into Oxford. Room was clean and had everything required.

The Oxford House is a reasonable back-to-basics hotel tucked away amongst some foot outlets. It is okay for an overnight stay as the rooms are just a bed, a desk, and a shower/bathroom, and that's it.
The biggest concerns might be the electricals, with a broken TV frame and their kettle boiling near the sockets on the desk. Still, the lamp raises alarm bells with its flickering light - even the 'receptionist' dismissed it as a bad connection with its plug and didn't replace it.
The bed is fine for what it is, but you can feel where the sheets end and the mattress start - and where they store the additional bedding.
The shower en-suite is a reasonable space, although seeing a bit of the carpet when stepping up into the bathroom must be a nightmare when tackling the splashbacks from the shower. It's a lovely shower with all the basics you expect with an en-suite.
For a stay near Temple Cowley, it is acceptable to access the Templars Square shopping precinct, within walking distance from all the fun and atmosphere that Cowley Road offers. It feels like a converted office space into these hotel rooms, and it is probably feasible for a budget stay in Oxford.

I booked this accommodation last minute as it was just a one night stay Unfortunately this was a poorly maintained property with flimsy walls, very noisy and leaks in walls and property as shown in pictures is not fit for purpose.I don't think such a property should be advertised by a website like Hotels.com. I did call and inform the costumer service team of hotels.com of the state of this accommodation. I am not sure whether this property is still being advertised.

So far this was a good stay for me.

It was a nice ten minute walk to supermarkets. Residential area that was quiet.

Property was clean except for the carpet and rugs. Very dirty floor. Bed and bath were very clean. Ordered cab thru owner, but it didn't show up! No staff on premises.

This was not a B & B in the normally expected sense. The picture of the premises that popped up when I viewed it was totally unlike the actual site. It showed what looked like two S/D houses, and both with the same Oxford House sign, and appeared quite impressive. The reality was a door between two shops, with a staircase leading to one floor with 7 rooms, and a 'cupboard' proudly displaying the name 'Reception'. No-one in attendance, so after ringing a given number, was told my key was in a postbox on the wall next to the entrance door. Not quite the service or amenities expected. There were no facilities at all, though there was free Wi-Fi. There were no dining facilities whatsoever. Suffice to say that this is the worst overnight experience of my life, and I would NOTrecommend this establishment in any way shape or form. I am not surprised that they took my money at the time of booking, so I had little option but to stay and make the best of things.

It was ok. The bed was clean, but mattress not particularly comfortable. Pillows a bit thin and no extras. Bathroom & towels also clean but the shower was a bit sticky - got the right temperature in the end. This place is absolutely fine if you are wanting a no frills stay and you sleep easily anywhere. There is no reception after 8pm so as a solo female I felt a bit vulnerable - I realised afterwards it does say this on the website. The noise of the traffic is really loud. There is a fan so if it had been hotter it might have been ok to sleep with windows closed. The curtains are not blackout so the room is lit by streetlights at night and the sun streams in in the morning - they cant fix the traffic, but they could easily fix this. The guy who let me in was friendly. Bus stop right outside so excellent transport links into Oxford.

Decent enough room. Staff wasn't there after check-in. A LONG way from town or even amenities.
3.0 / 5.0
This is basic but satisfactory accommodation for the cost of a stay.
The window latch was broken so it let the cold in and the noise of the road was loud as a result.
Apart from that the check in was effortless.

Quite depressing. Soulless.

So so. Below my expectations.

It was a pleasant place near amenities

It was not a Hotel
Housekeeping was great, but it was just a poorly maintained room in a multiple occupancy house
2.0 / 5.0
Good location and reasonable price but very noisy and unable to sleep. Mattress wasn't very comfortable and walls are paper thin. Essentially, rooms above a carpet shop with paper-thin walls and no control of over other noisy guests.

Very helpful

It was a basic hotel but got more than I paid for.
1.0 / 5.0
Small poor hotel located above a shop with limited parking, rooms were poor, not clean and may broken thinks in the room.
5.0 / 5.0
The staff/ receptionist in the hotel was excellent because I was called prior to my arrival.

Service was friendly, helpful and informative. Room was plain and small but clean and functional. Easy to use and good quality walk-in shower was a plus. Previous visit I had to call & wait a while for initial entry, which was slightly inconvenient. Entry via 20+ steps not suitable for all guests, especially those carrying large luggage, but fine for me on this occasion. Unfortunately neighbours, presumably in adjoining building and not part of the hotel, decided to blare very loud awful music at 8am making sleep an impossibility early on a Saturday morning, which though not the hotel's fault, would put me off staying again, especially with my wife. Overall ok, reflected in lower than average Oxford city price, but unless inconsiderate neighbour issue is resolved (i.e. noise abatement) I would avoid staying again, regardless of price.

This little place provides a great 'bed for the night' experience. Family run, there are 6 rooms. It is very clean and comfortable and quiet. You have an en-suite wetroom, also very clean. Fresh towels every day, soap and shower gel. There is a flat panel T.V., free WiFi and tea, coffee and hot chocolate available in the room. There is also a bus stop right outside which has very frequent services on the 1, 5 & 10 leading to Cowley, which is a busy, vibrant little sub-district in itself and onto the City Centre. A 24 hour pass costs £4.20 and you can travel on any bus all over the city for that. There is one free parking space right outside, which we were luck to get. There is also other free parking available nearby. We hope to return to Oxford in the Summer and would definitely stay at this place again.
