Exceptional place to stay. Very clean and well maintained. About a mile, 15 minute, walk to old town/St Michael area. Staff is extremely helpful and kind. Breakfast is great, but the waitstaff make it top notch. We stayed here for our 4 night stay in Cluj and had the best experience. Very comfortable.

Great hotel, very nice and modern and situated next to a shopping centre. The staff are extremely kind and helpful. The hotel is about 10 minutes walk from the old town. There are lots of transportation options around and we mainly used uber because it’s cheap in Cluj. Overall great stay.

In general, everything was good. The hotel is situated in the Paltinia shopping mall, so we had the advantage of having Meron Cafe and bakery, and the advantage of a mini market on the ground floor and the parking of the mall. The location was fine, but its 25 min walk from the old town

Beautiful property, and the room was the best on our trip! The Italian restaurant downstairs in the mall adjoining the hotel is quite good with impeccable attention to detail. The views from the upper floors are nice, although right now there is some very noisy construction across from the hotel. We could not hear it in the room, but the traffic and construction did make it difficult to enjoy the balcony. Parking is easy and connected the hotel.

Convenient, central location, very close to the BT Arena where the design fair was, which was the reason of my trip to Cluj. Spacious, clean rooms and nice views. I had a suite with multiple rooms and the view was great from all windows. A copious breakfast was included in the room cost. I will most likely stay at Hotel Platinia again.

Everything was “5 Stars” from the first check-in to the late check-out that was graciously offered. There’s no other place in Cluj that comes close to the quality of the hotel Platinia.

A very friendly staff team was very helpful with everything we needed. We even used the hotel for getting a confirmation code to order a late meal from glovo when our foreign number was rejected.
We enjoyed the breakfast that was served and the restaurant staff was superb.
As we needed to check out while at the same time we only had our flight in the evening the hotel kept our luggage safe while we toured the city.
It was also a great thing that the rear door of the hotel leads straight into a modern and air conditioned shopping mall.
Last but not least, the hotel room was huge and so was the king size bed. A lovely apartment suite!
Would have preferred flatter pillows though but that’s our preference!

Overall the property is very nice and the room very comfortable. The location is very noisy as rooms face an incredibly busy boulevard. So expect lots of car traffic day and night and a lot of exhaust. The property itself is well maintained. The moment you step outside, the pick up and drop off area is treated like it does not belong to it: dead leaves everywhere and weeds growing. There is no valet to park the car or bring the car. I find that strange for a 5 star property and the parking lot is very very tight. Lastly, I did my laundry which was a very expensive service - same as you would pay at any 5 star hotel in a big city anywhere. The laundry came back wrinkled, socks missing, my shirts and dresses not pressed. When I brought this issue to the attention of the staff they deflected any responsibility and put blame on a outside service provider… I was disappointed to say the least. I was not offered a solution and having the in-house housekeeping steam my clothes was not an option. The hotel does not offer that service. Again, this is not a 5 star property in my book: the prices yes, the services offered no.

What a great hotel in Cluj! This is probably the best hotel in Romania. The design of the hotel is outstanding, beautiful, modern and warm. The rooms are perfectly clean, wonderfully designed and have very comfartable beds and spatious bathrooms. If you stay in Cluj, this hotel is a must. The only negative issue is the traffic and the 15 min. walking distance to the city centre.

This is the best hotel in Cluj. Each room is a suite with a bedroom, living room and balcony. The breakfast is extremely extensive (even plenty of vegan options) and the service is very nice. Is located conveniently in a small mall and while is not in the city center, is close enough. I’ve stayed multiple times and it will be my only choice. Highly recommend it.
