About this house rental
This beautiful beachfront vacation home is a perfect place for big families or groups of friends. At Casa de Sueños you can create wonderful memories and spend quality time with your loved ones. From the game room on the main level to the upper-level poolside terrace, from the well-appointed bedrooms to the gourmet kitchen, you’ll never want to leave this 7,000-square-foot villa.
The house has 3 bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms on the main floor and other 3 bedrooms on the second floor also with private restrooms each. This distribution allows up to 12 guests to get together without sacrificing privacy all over the property. All bedrooms await you with top-of-the-line mattresses and linens, towels, and A/C.
Across the bedroom area, you will find the game room with a pool table and a living room with comfortable sofas to enjoy a special live stream media TV system with lots of US and Canada channels, in addition to the Costa Rica cable. House has a North America Radio Station system connected to speakers all over the living room, kitchen, and pool area. If you continue walking thru the property you can explore outside in the garden and then at the bottom access the beach.
Upstairs you will be received by the main open plan space which includes another beautiful living room and a fully equipped kitchen, it has all you need to prepare your favorite meals and enjoy the great ocean view. You can open the sliding doors and feel the natural breeze or keep them close and use the A/C, giving you all options to ensure you are comfortable. In front of the kitchen, you will have the open space living room and tall wooden roofs, creating a relaxing environment with palms and natural outside views.
A terrace will surprise you with the ocean view from the infinity pool and the outside facilities including a big gas grill, dining table, and also chairs to lay down and relax.
The house is fully equipped for a great vacation and includes nice fun features like a Pool table, 8 Bikes, 4 Boogie Boards, 2 single Kayaks, and 1 double Kayak. Beach toys are so fun especially to enjoy the calm beach in the front and explore the nature around. There are also beach chairs, a cooler, beach towels, also complimentary amenities such as coffee, spices, cooking oil, shampoo, and soap.

Your dog is very welcome to this unit! In case you want to travel with your beloved four-paws friend, there are three basic rules:- An extra refundable deposit of $500 is needed in case of any damage.
- We must clean a bit more after you pet that’s why an extra cleaning fee of $75 is required.
- And your pet must be submitted to a pre-approval process.

Property was in the perfect location. On the Pacific coast with birds, monkeys, sloths, butterflies, in addition to some wonderful people, including staff at the wonderful house. A perfect vacation 😍

We really enjoyed all the amenities that the villa had to offer from bikes to paddle boards and boogie boards. The sunsets were amazing and we enjoyed watching the sunsets from the back deck each evening. Thee were lots of restaurants close by. The house was very spacious and very comfortable for our group of 8. Alex was also very responsive with all of our questions. We would definitely return.

Our family had a wonderful time at the Casa Suenos. It was our first time visiting Costa Rica and the house had all the amenities we were looking for; i.e, bedrooms with adjoining bathrooms, the infinity pool, outdoor eating area, beachfront, kayaks, paddle boards, short walking distance to restaurants,etc.. Our property manager was wonderful and always got back to us in a timely manner. Alex booked us several tours during our stay and arranged all our transportation while we here. The tours we took; i.e. Coffee tour, Congo trail zip lining/ATVs, Jet skiing and private boat excursion, were all phenomenal. Our family had a great time. Everyone we met were so helpful and we hope to come back here again soon!

House was in a great location to the beach. Boogie boarding and body surfing with the kids at sunset was magical. Our only issues with the house were the beach amenities are not in good shape, except the kayaks. One paddle board has a hole, one of the boogie boards was in tatters and another was starting to fall apart, and the beach chairs were very rusty. Lastly, the listing says housekeeping services, but out of 6 days we only had housekeeping twice and had to ask for it both times. Inside the house the only issue is if you have small kids, the 6th bedroom with twin beds is open to the kitchen so it wasn’t useable for our stay. Overall we loved the stay, you can’t beat the location on the beach, especially if you have young kids. Many Costa Rican beaches are rough and this spot is not. Big enough waves to have older kids go out in play in the waves (we had a 16, 14, and 11 yr old), but your little kids (we had a 1 and 3 year old) could also enjoy the beach. We also saw monkeys and many species of birds right at the house. You can also walk to a few restaurants, right from the beach. Our older kids also loved the pool table, we played almost every night and was a great way to unwind after all the day’s excitement. You are also very close to flamingo Marina which has great access to deep sea fishing and snorkeling. All in all we would stay there again and are planning to come back to Costa Rica for the third year in a row next year.

This is a wonderful house right on a quiet beach in Potrero. The house if far enough away from Playa Potrero and Potrero to have privacy, but close enough to both towns to walk for shopping or dining. The beds were comfortable and bathrooms attached to each bedroom were convenient for our large group. The on site custodian, Marvin, was very helpful when we messaged him, but we never noticed him on the site otherwise. Alexa at Blue Zone was a terrific hostess and very responsive to messages. She helped set up a tour for us and dinner from a local cook. If you have the chance, definitely have Karen come to cook for you. Her food is better than any restaurant and she even sang for us! The kayaks, paddleboards, body boards, beach chairs, bikes, pool table, infinity pool, and outdoor patio made for plenty of things to do without ever leaving the premises. Overall, a great place to stay.

This was our first time visit to Costa Rica and we had a fantastic stay. We had 10 people and were 2 families with 6 young adults in their early 20's. The house was huge and provided plenty of space for all. We opened up the full sliding glass walls to the covered patio and enjoyed hearing the waves in the evening, the amazing sunset and the infinity pool directly off the patio. We enjoyed the walks on the quiet beach each morning.
Alex at Blue Zone was fantastic in giving us alot of options and made the arrangements for all of our activities each day. She arranged a private sunset cruise/snorkeling, our private water trek through the La Leona river with Eduardo as our guide and the private Arenal Volcano trek with Gabriel as our guide. We had 2 nights with Karen the Singing Chef preparing amazing Costa Rican food for us with her team of Orlando and Janice. Alex made sure our family had a great time and continued to follow up each day to check on how we were doing. I highly recommend Casa Suenos & Blue Zone Experience and would come back here in the future.

11 of us traveled from NC to CR for 6 days of adventure. Casa de Suenos offered everything we needed to relax and enjoy each others' company. It was the perfect set up for 5 couples and 1 single. The caretaker, Marvin, went above and beyond to answer our questions and help us with errands. I would highly recommend the area of Playa Portero. It was quiet and very quaint. Definitely not an area overrun with tourists. We will be back! PURA VIDA!

Our group of ten (six kids and four adults) had an excellent experience with this large and spacious property. Alexandra coordinated our excursions and transfers; Marvin took care of us on the property; and Josselyn cooked an amazing meal. Christian and Eduardo were great drivers. We highly recommend this house and all of the experiences and people that come with it.

Group of 10 including two 5 year olds and a 1.5 year old. What drew us to the property was that every room could be made into a king and had an en-suite. The layout was very practical for our group. Downstairs space served as a good work space while upstairs stayed as entertainment. The views are unbelievable. Some bathrooms could use some updating (mineral deposits, etc), but otherwise better than the pictures look.
Some add-ons that would have made it perfect - one large table for dining instead of the two separate. Beach umbrellas and more chairs. Better stove - not all burners were functioning.
Marvin the housekeeper was very punctual. The AC (once we figured it out on the upper floor) was much appreciated.

We had a great time staying here! The house had lots of room for the 11 of us. The location was great with close access to town, day trips and just hanging out at the beach and the pool. The concierge was fantastic! We are last minute planners and she was very accommodating. She booked us on a private boat for snorkeling and some fishing, with great food included. Also, she booked wave runners that were brought to the beach at the house! She touched base often to see if we needed anything.
Our youngest traveler was under 2 and it did take a little more work to keep her safe, as the pool and deck are on the second floor.
The family all agreed it was our best vacation!

This house was huge - more than sufficient to house a group of 10 adults. Can’t say enough good things.
Older property and maybe some minor repairs needed - but felt fun and authentic and was well equipped with everything you needed - including a great sound system piped through to every area of the house and patio. (This place is So big we never even used the downstairs space other than the bedrooms)
We were here for 10 days. The infinity pool and covered patio were a god send … and what an amazing view and nightly sunset. The open concept kitchen and common space was also amazing.
The walk out to the beach couldn’t be beat. We used all the things they had to offer - bikes for daily trips to the grocery, boogie boards for wave surfing.
Alex was our contact at Blue Zone Group and she was extremely responsive and helpful. Arranged any and everything we needed. The on-site property manager Marvin was also fantastic and took care of anything we needed. Two thumbs up to the team.
The area overall is fantastic. Great beach or surf side restaurants and lots of nearby things to do. Congo Trail. Nita’s coffee shop. Hemingways. We hired in masseuses for a day and an amazing private chef one night. You will love this place and the area !!

We celebrated our 50th Anniversary with our children and grandchildren in this spacious home. We loved having all the beach “toys” to use in the warm ocean, and hours were spent in the infinity pool off of the large covered patio. Thru Alexandra, we had a golf cart to use for errands, and our start-up groceries were there on arrival. She also arranged transport for us from/to the airport. Marvin greeted us on arrival and was helpful whenever we needed him. We walked to dinners at Las Brisas and Hemingways, and enjoyed the brewery in town, chartered an awesome four-hour sailing cruise, and went on an ATV tour. The week was everything we wanted it to be … Pura Vida!

The house was so much bigger than we expected. The gathering spaces are incredible. We spent a lot of time in the outside area where you can hear the waves rolling in. Marvin, Alejandra, and Jimmy were all very helpful. This was a wonderful place to stay!

We had a great stay at this beautiful property! We had a driver bring us from La Fortuna area and were met by the property caretaker when we arrived. We were a party of 6 (2 families of 3) and had more than enough room to accommodate us. The downstairs area was barely used except for sleeping since the upstairs living area and outside area were exceptional. We did find a couple of spiderwebs strewn throughout the home but other than that the home was very clean. Groceries were ordered prior to our stay and the convenience of having some basic necessities in the home when we arrived was worth the extra fee. The outside patio area is where we spent the majority of our time. Sunsets from the terrace were breathtaking. The bluetooth sound system allowed us to listen to our music while we relaxed, grilled and ate outside. The girls did yoga on the patio every morning and were able to take a class a short walking distance away. There were restaurants within walking distance, as well. The location of Potrero was exactly what we were looking for. The beach outside of the home was private and comfortable. I know many reviews have said not to expect the white, sandy beach in this area and this is true. That being said, it wasn't an issue. We used the kayak and paddle boards on one day which was great to have the option. Our concierge set us up with a company that brought wave runners right outside our home and we went on an excellent 2 hour tour that showed us the other beaches, did a cliff dive and enjoyed the beauty of Costa Rica. Unfortunately, we had to cut our trip short by one day due to an oncoming tropical storm and the worry of not being able to get back to the U.S. Overall, this is an excellent property!

We recently returned from a two week stay at Casa de Suenos. It was our first time to Costa Rica, and the amazing staff that works for LEP was absolutely wonderful! Alexandra was such a gift to have to help us with anything we needed. She set up transfers to and from the airport, a rental car delivered to the house, stocked groceries upon arrival, private chefs, and tons of suggestions of things to do. The house itself was just heaven! Right on the beach, and close to TONS of other beaches. One day we just beach hopped and went to 5 beaches within one day, all within a 10 minute drive of the house. The pool was fantastic with beautiful views and sunsets. The house had everything we needed for a great "home base" while in Costa Rica. There was also plenty of restaurants within a short walk of the house. If you are looking for a place to stay, look no further! LEP will go above and beyond to make sure you have the most relaxing vacation you will ever experience!

This was our second consecutive year staying in this house. Two families of four, each with young children. The location is outstanding with amazing views of the sunset each evening and an elevated pool to enjoy the view and keep cool. We have enjoyed taking out the kayaks and the stand up paddle boards. The house is very clean an well maintained. Potrero is not as busy as some other beaches, which we really enjoy, yet is a short drive to other busier towns along the coast such as Tamarindo. We are looking forward to a third stay next year.

Como el nombre lo dice, así nos sentimos, como de sueños. Tiene una vista espectacular.La casa es muy cómoda, está muy limpia y tiene amplio jardín y salida inmediata a la playa.El área social donde está la cocina, sala, piscina y terraza es perfecta para compartir en familia. Tiene una parrilla perfecta para azar la carnita un día en la noche y pasarla bien.Las habitaciones son cómodas y confortables.El aire acondicionado, abanicos y ventilación natural es perfecta.La seguridad es muy buena, un lugar muy tranquilo donde puedes salir sin necesidad de preocuparse de las pertenencias.Muchas gracias a don Rodrigo y Alexandra por todas sus atenciones y recomendaciones.Lo único que si deben mejorar son las bicicletas pues solamente habían 2 en regular estado y nosotros llevábamos ilusión de dar un buen paseo en bici, lo que no se logró.Sugiero que deberían haber unas sillitas para tomar el sol.Nos encantaría volver, así que si tenemos la oportunidad lo haremos. Super recomendada para esas familias que ante la pandemia no quieren relacionarse con otras personas.

Casa Suenos was perfect for our family vacation for 7! Great location, plenty within walking distance including a small grocery store. House was sparkling clean and came equipped with pantry basics which was very nice. We didn’t ever require any assistance from the caretaker, but it was nice having him there in case we did. Our Wellness Retreat Group has visited Casa de Suenos each winter for the last ten years. It is like our home away from home. We watch the birds early in the morning and the howler monkeys call us to wake up and get ready for a wonderful day. At Sunset on the ocean side of Casa de Suenos we raise a glass to cheer the beautiful sun as it sinks over the ocean. The beach just past the back yard gate is never full of people. A few fisherman are there early in the morning, and occasional beach strollers are walking by. Kayaks and other water toys are available for our use. We return from our morning beach stroll to have our wellness yoga class. Then it is time for our healthy "Blue Zones" type breakfast. A French Bakery is near by if we want some wonderful pastries for a special treat. Any needs or questions that we have are immediately taken care of by LEP, or Marvin and Reina. We will be back next year!

Our family stayed at this property to celebrate my grandmas 80th birthday. There were 10 of us and the house was more than spacious for us. The house is gorgeous and clean. Alexandra was beyond helpful arranging all our transportation needs and setting up excursions for us. She put us in contact with a local chef who came to the house and prepared dinner for us. She arranged a golf cart rental for the week and it was perfect to get around town. Marvin the groundskeeper was onsite and available to answer any questions about the house and assist us with the kayaks and bikes. Our favorite part of this house was the pool, it’s on the second floor and the view of the ocean is amazing. The beach is very fine sand/silt so every wave turns up the silt, so it isn’t clear. We had an incredible time and would highly recommend this house.

We had a wonderful time at Casa de Suenos. The house was very large to accommodate the whole family. The bad thing was that the dishwasher did not work, and the bedroom on upstairs main floor did not have a full wall. It was very hard for the person sleeping in this bedroom to get sleep with a half wall. Everything else was great though. Had a wonderful time.

This large house right on quiet Portrero beach worked perfectly for my family of 10 - 3 grandchildren (/9, 7, 4) and 7 adults. It's pretty much as advertised. Walking distance to stores and shops and terrific gelato (yes, really). Each bedroom has a well appointed bathroom. Note: most of the bedrooms tend to be small with and a little on the dark side - i.e., no windows (especially downstairs) = bit comfortable. The on-site caretaker is very helpful (limited English). The pool is small but perfect for small children (however, not fenced) and for just hanging out. We spent most of out time hanging out on the deck overlooking the beach. The kitchen is also well appointed and we used the outdoor gilll and sink a lot. We enjoyed our stay there very much.

My group of 9 friends and I had a blast at Casa De Suenos. The house is incredible, spacious and well maintained. We spent hours in the pool or on the patio overlooking the oceans and sunsets. There were enough bikes for the whole group to get around town and a few kayaks/paddle boards to go out in the ocean. Marvin was a very kind host on the grounds and Alexandra was the absolute best! She helped us plan airport transport, taxis throughout the trip, coordinate several excursions to the Arenal Volano region, hot springs, sunset sailing, tamarindo, etc. We had Chef Karen come to the house and prepare an amazing costa rica meal on our last night and it was well worth it. I would highly recommend it. The whole stay was a full service experience and we can't wait to go back again!

Had a wonderful, relaxing stay with wife and four children who range in age from 15-21. The house was as advertised and provided plenty of room to spread out for quiet time or gather as a group for meals and games. The pool, patio and beach were where the majority of time was spent and it was an easy walk down the beach to great restaurants and activities. Hats off to Alex our concierge and Eduardo our driver for their flexibility and customization of trips that catered to all the families interests. This is one of the busiest times of the year and we were behind the curve in getting our plans locked down and over to Alex and team before we arrived. Despite this, they were able to work their magic to get a great set of reservations and activities in place on very short notice. Some of the highlights were the trip to watch the sea turtles nesting/hatching, the trip to the national park and waterfalls and the customized fishing trip/sunset cruise to accommodate multiple interests. The house was great, Alex and team were fantastic helping to create one of our most relaxing and rejuvenating vacations to date.

Home is perfect for a large group or family. Spacious and well appointed. Concierge, Alex, helped us with restaurant suggestions prior to our stay, a snorkel & sunset outing, jet ski's and a fabulous dinner cooked in the home on our final evening.

After years being apart our family gathered for an overdue reunion. The house was perfect for our group of adults. The flow on the main floor from kitchen to pool to the sitting areas and out to the beach made everything easy. We barely left the property!
The sunsets are stunning, especially sitting in the pool with a tropical cocktail in hand. The kitchen was big and well used - we cooked most of our meals.
We strongly recommend Karen Andrade, who came in to cook for us one evening. She shared her family dishes with us - authentic CR and delicious.
The beach is really swimable, so the ocean newbies felt very safe.
A couple of notes. The three downstairs bedrooms are definitely darker and damper than the upstairs.
Also, note that the property is run by a third party company. They were really great, but we did have some complications with the parallel financial systems with VRBO. I blame that more on VRBO though.

This property was very clean and the location was second to none! The access to the beach was wonderful and there were several restaurants and a grocery store in close proximity making meal choices convenient. There were six of us in our group, but the house could have easily accommodated 12. Our group really enjoyed the outdoor patio and pool. Communication with Alexandra was great - she was extremely helpful and responded to our messages in a timely manner. Also, we appreciated having Marvin the caretaker on-site for any questions related to the house. Pura Vida!
