About this house rental

Skycrest is situated atop the Narrow Neck plateau with views across the Megalong Valley. A perfect escape to enjoy the sunset over the mountains & the morning sun over the valley. With 4,000 square meters of native wilderness, Skycrest brings a sense of seclusion.

Despite its ambiance, the property is only 5 minutes' drive to Katoomba town centre. The home itself is a large two-storey house with spectacular views and boasts four spacious bedrooms, three bathrooms and comfortably sleeps 8 people.

Entertaining is a breeze with a modern kitchen, large dining area, wood fireplace, 65-inch TV and pool table. The house is also complete with 3 bathrooms, ducted gas heating, air conditioning in living areas, laundry and double garage. Natural light throughout the house. Located close to the centre of town and the Three Sisters. Sense of seclusion on the edge of Katoomba, 4,000 sqm property with yard as well as significant natural bushland. Close to bushwalks and nearby lookouts with spectacular views. Norths Lookout, Cahill's Lookout, Narrowneck Lookout, Therabulat Lookout.

Please note the tariff is based on 6 guests. If you have more than 6 staying, please enter the correct number to get the correct tariff. Maximum 8 guests.

All long weekends are a minimum 3-night stay, all public holidays are charged at the weekend tariff and Easter is a minimum 4-night stay.

All beds will be made with quality linen before your arrival including doonas, pillows, bath towels, bath mats & hand towels. Tea towels are also provided for the kitchen.

Heating - Air conditioning and fireplace in the main living area. Air conditioning added to the downstairs entertainment area, living areas with reverse cycle air conditioning.

Firewood - 1 bag of firewood supplied in winter months Jun, Jul & Aug or you can purchase firewood at local service stations, supermarkets & hardware stores.

Indoor Activities - 65" TV, Netflix, Foxtel, Disney and a DVD player, large screen projector in the family room and 50" in the main bedroom , B.O.S.E Bluetooth speaker, free Wifi. Pool table.

Outdoor Activities - minutes from beautiful bushwalks and lookouts and trampoline and swing set for the kids.

Despite staying amid the ongoing bush fire situation around the Blue Mountains, our group had a very enjoyable stay at this beautiful home, the photos didn’t do it justice! The moment we arrived, the home looked wonderful and the view was the cherry on top (even though there was some smoke in the mountain area it was still lovely! The amenities available were great, we didn’t even get around to using the downstairs entertainment area as we were all comfortable staying in the living room. All the rooms were very spacious and comfortable for everyone and it was very hard to want to leave! The area was very quiet and peaceful, its perfect for anyone wanting a nice relaxing getaway with a nice mountain view

The house is very spacious with all modern amenities and entertainment. Close to Katoomba and surrounding attractions but if you need to escape the crowds the serenity and views from the back verandah are just devine!!

This place has it all - literally. Handwash, spray for cooking, teatowels, bbq, nice crockery and cutlery, all forms of cooking utensils, beautiful bed linen, towels, pool table, games galore, books, movies (projector in bottom room and tv upstairs to amazing views from everywhere you sit and comfortable furnishings that make it difficult to get up and leave. But when you do you can walk down the road and you're in the national park and on the bush path to the 6 Foot Track or a small walk to the main centre where quirky cafes abound. Great place for a weekend with family or friends.

Skycrest was set up with everything you need, the views were amazing. The only negative comment was the pillows were a little thin and uncomfortable, but overall loved the stay. The games room downstairs was fantastic for the kids

Skycrest is a true slice of heaven! This property manages to make you feel like you are in the bush, miles away from civilisation, whilst remaining conveniently close to Katoomba village. The property is amazing and comfortable with stunning views over the Megalong valley from half of the property including the veranda. Highlights for me were the view, the pool table and the dinning room table which is a true masterpiece.
