Upon checking in we told the staff we had a service dog with physician orders. They didn’t ask to see the paperwork which in reality they can’t by law. We use hotels.com very often and travel approximately 2-3 times per week for the last 15 years and never have had a problem. Upon check in nothing was said but two days after checking out we were charged $75. When I called the hotel they stated they don’t honor emotional support dogs even though my pet is for post concussion, PTSD and frequent migraines. I contacted hotels.com who told me to email the physician letter to them which I did the same day with no response. Terrible customer service. We have contacted our bank and disputed the charges. Never would we stay there again. Also we were placed in a handicap room with many bars etc. which we did not need. Ned was very uncomfortable. In addition service people were working on the washer and dryer and upon leaving left quite a mess of packing debris on the floor.

I was really excited about this stay but was disappointed. The second room did not have clean towels. The body towels were dirty in the washing machine and the face towels were dirty hanging from the shower curtain rod with hair on them. The shove showed surface heating from the time we checked in. We were unable to use it due to wanting to be safe.

Very modern place to stay. Its quiet and the rooms are great for a longer stay.

We have stayed here many times. I see the rooms becoming a little ran down. Stool lid isn't tight. Rooms could use a little paint. Drain plugs did not fit tightly in either bathtub, so both of them leaked. Beyond that, we love this place, other than the outrageous non-refundable pet deposit. I could maybe see that if I was staying a month, but for 2 days? No way! Theres no carpet, so it shouldn't be an issue. Most places charge very low pet fees. I was much happier this time with the stackable washer and dryer instead of the single machine that held my clothes hostage the last time. Beds are comfortable, but squeaky. Shower is wonderful! Adequate dishes in the kitchen to cook with.

Our stay was excellent. Check in was easy and quick and the accommodations were fantastic! I would highly recommend. The beds were comfortable and the only thing I would change were the pillows. Pillows are a personal choice so what I may not like you may love

No blankets at all- no one at desk for help that night. Had to go buy some at store so kids and I could sleep. Spoke with desk next day and asked to have manager f/u but never heard a word from them. Very disappointed as we stay in area often with multiple kids in college close by

With every amazing dream eventually there's a nightmare. My last stay here was exactly the latter of the two. My first issue was when I took my dog out to potty she could of possibly been poked by the broken syringe I found laying next to her poo. I notified management and the quietly had maintenence take care of it. My 2nd issue was there was no handicapp parking but the lady did let me park by the entrance which caused me to scratch one of my brand new wheels so I reported it but was told it was my fault but I told the lady that this would of never happened if I had a handicapp spot to park in or even a regular spot since the whole parkinglot was full. My 3rd issue was there was no soap in my room, the washer was out of order, and there was no luggage cart at all. Then around 3AM I heard a loud pounding on my wall by my headboard due to the neighbours engaging in adult activities. Luckily it only lasted about 2 minutes so I was able to go back to sleep only to get woken up about 630AM by large dogs barking outside my window in the courtyard so with that mentioned they may have to change their name from Waterwalk to WoofWalk at Kansas City Overland Park.

Property was clean and well maintained. Bring earplugs if you are a light sleeper. You can hear noise from every direction. Front desk staff not very friendly, bordering on unprofessional. I easily overheard multiple conversations complaining about guests and other employees. Maintenance and housekeeping staff were excellent!!

We have stay at the Waterwalk several times and have always had a pleasant experience. Not this time. The check in person was rude and abrupt and claimed that I had requested a balcony when I had requested a main floor room as my husband is disabled. So we were assigned a top floor room instead of a main floor room. The room was not as tidy as we have experienced in the past. Damaged doors were repaired haphazardly and molding by the bathtub/washer dryer was pulling away from wall and mold looked like it was possibly forming. Our key cards were deactivated at least twice which made accessing the building difficult after hours. The room was not supplied with coffee and shampoo/conditioner. It was supplied once we asked for it. There are not enough parking spots in the parking lot. On the weekend at least a dozen cars were parked along the curbs - ours included. We may consider other places to stay on our next trip to Kansas City.

All of the staff were very friendly. Accommodations were excellent. Ideal location also. Would definitely stay here again.

This place was a great stay a little bit of a smaller place but it was still very nice and homey. everything inside the apartment was so updated and modern. The beds were super comfortable. This is the best location to stay it’s around everything you need oak park mall and all types of stores and food! Definitely will be staying again me and my wife loved it!

Very clean and comfortable!! There’s everything you need in WaterWalk. Plenty of cooking pans, plates and silverware. The two televisions have Direct TV HBO and Cinemax. What a wonderful suprise there’s a washer and dryer in the large bathroom if you want to warm up your towel or do your laundry. Wonderful staff for your convenience and breakfast. The wife and I will be back for sure!!

This apartment type room was very comfortable and very clean. We will definitely stay here in the future.

Well lit parking. Minimal traffic. Locked entry way with fast and attentive front desk. Eaay check in. Super clean lobby, hallways. Well equipped with a cute kitchen table area. Washer and dryer in the unit. Like an upscale extended stay Hotel.

This set-up worked so well for us. We were 2 couples traveling together and each had our own bedroom and bathroom. There was a full kitchen and living room with the necessary dishes, utensils and cookware.

Nice place to stay. We had a room with three bedrooms and two full baths. Nice....

We booked a 2/2 with balcony but given room without balcony. Check in at night is not the smoothest. But overall it’s a good option - spacious and clean. Kitchen has everything you need.

We stayed here in the past without any issues. But this time was so different. The parking lot needs construction. It almost feels like you are parking at a vacant place. The entrance was good and clean but the hallway was dirty and full of stains. There was smell of pot too and we notified the front desk since it was a non smoking place. They said they have been dealing with that lately and its hard to enforce the rules. The pool was closed. The bedroom looked ok but the bedding was stained and dirty amd we went to get clea bedding and re do it ourselves. The shower curtain was also super dirty and stained . We were really disappointed this time. They have a great location and a good size property. They just need to improve and remodel some things.

When I checked in, my first room had not been cleaned and there were sheets balled up on the floor, towels on the couch, trash cans out of the cabinet like someone had started to clean the room and came to the end of their shift and stopped. I was given another room that was a little better, but the floors were filthy, dishes in the cabinets were dirty, and mold in the tubs. We stayed 4 nights and never received new towels or even had the trash taken out. We could hear the people above us and beside us at all hours. Thin walls, and cheap, uncomfortable furniture. The final insult was on checkout day. Checkout is noon. The person who was assigned to clean knocked on the door at 8:30 am. When we opened the door, he couldn't understand that we weren't ready to checkout and then started pointing at his watch. I said we weren't leaving yet. He went to the next room, but returned to our room 5 minutes later pointing at his watch again. I kept saying no, we aren't leaving yet. Finally , I called the front desk and told them what he was doing. I verified the checkout time as noon. The woman who answered said, "If I see him I will talk to him about it."

We really enjoyed our stay at Water Walk Overland Park! The staff was friendly, efficient, & helpful. Our room was clean & comfortable. The ease of access for our daily trips was appreciated. Thanks!

Nice apartment in clean, quiet building...had all our required amenities...free parking was nice...only issue was wifi kept kicking out for some reason but not enough to be annoying...overall we can give this property an excellent review.
