Comfortable stay in an Autumn wonderland

Peaceful, in a gorgeous setting with the river and golden trout dams nearby. Especially lovely during Autumn, when the trees turn fiery red and golden yellow. We actually stayed here twice in short succession, once going up to Canberra, and then coming back to Melbourne again. Both rooms were neat, clean and comfortable. The first room was on the block facing the main road, which meant a bit of traffic noise but that died down shortly after sunset. If you need more tranquility, ask for a room on the bottom block, closer to the river. The owner met us each time, and was the perfect host. We will definitely stay here again!

Beautiful location and comfortable room with all the essentials

The location was beautiful - right by the river with a nice outside communal area and a flowing creek with ponds and fish. The cabin was comfortable with everything I needed, and surprised that there was air conditioning (the room listing stated there wasn't A/C).

Right near a main road was a little noisy, but not too much traffic late at night - earplugs worked well for that though.

Friendly staff and beautiful, well-kept landscape made it a perfect Bright-Porepunkah autumn visit.

Beautiful landscape, with the river Ovens running through the property. Many trees with colorful autumn foliage, just right for an autumn stay.

Exceptional

Had a lovely stay here recently while on a cycling trip. Narelle and her family were so friendly and kind. They invited me to the pub with them, giving me a lift there and back after a long day of cycling! Was much appreciated rather than cycling another 10 minutes into town 😂 facilities were very clean and the bed was super comfy.. Would highly recommend for anyone staying in Porepunkah for the night! Thanks again Narelle.

Comfortable cabin in a great setting beside the Ovens River. Great communication with manager. Convenient to Bright and Mt Buffalo. Would recommend.

Very good

It's located in a very quiet place and close from Bright proper. The cottage is very nice and clean, the bed is very comfy.

The shower is very low in pressure and one time my husband ran out of hot water while in the shower. It's a bit too small for a guy like him who's not too big just 5 foot 9 and he got bruises on his elbows. Not a big deal but maybe the water pressure needs to be taken care of. Over all it's a food place to stay and would recommend it to my friends.

Beautiful and peaceful place to stay.

We liked the warm welcome and the kind owner put the heater on for us when we arrived,the facilities were cozy and clean ,the views of the river from are room were amazing,bed was ver comfy ,lovely breakfast in the town of bright.very peaceful and lovely bird life.

Shower hard to get right temp ,but part from that nothing to dislike

Property definitely did not meet expectations...Room was not very clean lots of dust and cobwebs and a very noisy location. Nobody was there when we arrived so we waited till they got home.

Very welcoming hosts, surprisingly quiet and peaceful location by the river. First impression looked pretty basic but had very comfortable beds, roomy cabin and a lovely area by the river to sit and relax. Excellent WiFi. Great value for money.

Short but sweet, definitely would stay again!

Narelle was so lovely & helpful. The location was amazing, especially with it backing onto the river. Room was very clean, and the bed comfy. Such great value for money.
